Lawyer Gareth Forbes murdered at his home; hands and feet bound; Prado and dog missing

He has been identified as 49-year-old Gareth Forbes, a lawyer of Oakridge, Stilwell Road in Kingston 8.

Reports from the Constant Spring Police are that about 10:00 pm, a relative found Forbes unresponsive at his home and summoned them. On arrival of the lawmen, his body was seen lying in a pool of blood; he had been shot several times.

Other reports say his body was found with a bullet wound to the back and the hands and feet were bound.

Investigators say his dog and Toyota Prado motor vehicle were stolen.

The police are urging anyone with information on the murder to contact the Constant Spring CIB, 119 or the nearest police station.

The crime scene was processed and the body was removed to the morgue.

Investigations are ongoing.

Just over one month ago, attorney Nordraka Williams Burnett of the law firm Townsend, Whyte and Porter, died after being stabbed by her husband, who is a member of the Jamaica Defence Force.
