Two charged for attempting to expost cocaine

charged.jpgIn another incident, also on Friday, a team from the Narcotics Police Division arrested and charged two men at the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, St James for attempting to export cocaine.

They are: 47-year-old Nigel Barham, businessman of Nain district, St Elizabeth and 52-year-old Dennis Daley, farmer of Myersville district, also in the parish.

Police say the drug weighed approximately 4.5 pounds, and has an estimated street value of about $2.2 million.

The men were subsequently charged with Possession of Cocaine, Dealing in Cocaine, Attempting to Export Cocaine and Conspiracy to Export Cocaine.

They are scheduled to appear before the St James Parish Court on Thursday.
