Tesha Miller charged with murder

tesha-miller.jpgThe reputed leader of the Spanish Town-based Clansman gang Tesha Miller has been slapped with charges of accessory before and after the fact to murder. The murder allegedly happened in 2008 in St Catherine.

Miller is to appear in the Home Circuit Court on November 9 to answer the charges.

His lawyers Bert Samuels and Able Don Foote say they will be applying for bail.Miller and his girlfriend were picked up in a shopping area in St Andrew on Tuesday by detectives from the Counter Terrorism and Organized Crime Investigations Branch.

On Wednesday, Foote brought an application in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court for Miller's immediate release from custody. Parish Judge Vaughn Smith heard the application and ordered that Miller should be charged or released by 9 a.m on Friday, November 2.

Miller was deported from the Bahamas in April 2017. On his return to Jamaica, he was charged with making a false declaration to immigration officers at the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston. Miller pleaded guilty and was fined.
