attorney-andjustice-minister-mark-golding.jpgSt Andrew South Member of Parliament (MP) Mark Golding says he is arranging with Crime Stop for a $500,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the culprit(s) in the murder of 14-year-old Yetanya Francis in the constituency between Thursday night and Friday morning.

Golding made the disclosure on social media site Facebook yesterday, stating that he would provide more details on the reward soon.

The teenaged girl, who resided in Trench Town and attended the Kingston Technical High School, reportedly left home to purchase food about 8'o clock Thursday night but did not return home.

Her nude body was found partially burnt in the said community the next morning. According to reports, there were signs of rape and strangulation.

Yetanya's killing revived memories of the brutal slaying of 17-year-old Mickolle Moulton in the neighbouring community of Arnett Gardens on August 6 last year.

Mickolle, who was a Meadowbrook High School student, and her 12-year-old sister were shot in their bedroom by someone who pointed a gun through a window.
