The police say that there has been a breakthrough in the murder of businessman John Brandon Murray who was brutally gunned down as he left the Mayfair Hotel in St Andrew on June 10.

The Criminal Investigation Branch reported that a man was arrested and charged following intensive probe; however, detectives are relentlessly pursing strong leads in an effort to bring in other suspects in the murder.

The accused, Christopher Chambers, also known as Chris, a bearer of 15 Waltham Park Road in Kingston 13, was apprehended during a police operation and was formally interviewed in the presence of his lawyer and subsequently charged on Saturday, August 25, with conspiracy to the murder of the businessman.
