Teenager charged with murder of St. Elizabeth farmer

hands-behind-bars.jpgA 16-year-old boy from St. James has been charged with the December 29, 2017 murder of Lascelles Warlock, a 53-year-old farmer of Pisgah in St. Elizabeth.

He was charged on Thursday after being pointed out during an identification parade.

The teen was arrested on January 29 following a shootout involving gunmen and the police in Kilmarnock, St. Elizabeth. A man was fatally shot and a loaded Uzi submachine gun seized.

It was reported that Warlock was driving a bus along the Cambridge main road when he was signaled to stop by a man who robbed him and his passengers.

The man then shot Warlock several times.

The passengers were not injured.
