Assistant Commissioner Fitz Bailey, head of C-TOC, said the gang leader, 33 year old Andre 'Blackman' Bryan, along with three members of his family were picked up during an operation in an upscale community in St. Andrew on March 4.

The three family members are his mother, 53 year old Millicent Brown, sister Alecia Brown, and his brother, Kevaughn Green. Two other members of the gang, Davion Edwards, otherwise called 'Lizard' and Boswell Rhoden, otherwise called 'Stephan', were picked on in another location on Monday March 5.

Charges in relation to the anti-gang legislation were laid against all six individuals on Monday, March 19. ACP Bailey said C-TOC launched an investigation into the Clansman gang in 2015, which led to the arrest and charge of 32 members over the period.

He said 78 of the 134 murders committed in St. Catherine in 2017 can be attributed to the Clansman gang.
