14-year-old and taximan shot dead by gunmen

crime-scene-gun.jpgA family is in mourning as a 14-year-old male student from a prominent high school was chased and killed by unknown assailants on Saturday. A taxi operator was also shot dead by the gunmen during a brazen daylight attack along Alexander Road, Hunts Bay, Kingston on Saturday.

The dead have been identified as Domaine Hall, student and resident of Rodney Road, Kingston and Richard Francis, 44 -year-old, taxi operator of 2 Alexander Road, Kingston 13.

Reports are that about 8:30 a.m. Francis was cleaning a grey Nissan Tiida motor car along the roadway when he was attacked and shot several times by two men carrying guns.

Following the attack the men were leaving the area when they saw the teenager, Domaine, who was fetching water at a nearby stand pipe.

Reports are that the teen attempted to run but was chased and shot by the assailants.

The men then escaped from the area.

Police were called to the community and the injured men taken to the Kingston Public Hospital where they were pronounced dead on arrival.

The incident has triggered shock and anger in the community.
