Rocking her signature Afro hairstyle, Miss Universe Jamaica Davina Bennett walked away with a more than well deserved third place finish..

Davina was among 92 ladies vying for the crown in Las Vegas.


Prime Minister Andrew Holness and Opposition Leader Peter Phillips were among scores of Jamaicans who expressed congratulations via social media, while Zip jock, DJ Sparks sparked quite a celebration on Twitter/Instagram with her truly Jamaican, down-to-earth commentary that has racked up massive views.

When Bennett was announced as the second runner up, sections of the live audience showed their displeasure, with some booing after Steve Harvey made the announcement.

Miss South Africa Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters was declared the winner and Miss Colombia Laura González Ospina, first runner up.
