Mr. Nooks, who was charged with cocaine possession on May 5, appeared before the St. Andrew Parish Court on Wednesday morning where the case was mentioned.

Lead attorney Tom Tavares-Finson argues that there are flaws in the Crown's case.

"I pointed out to the judge that there was already a major discrepancy in the prosecution's case as to where this incident took place because the superintendent who is in charge of narcotics put the incident one place, then the investigating officer put it at another place...and it is so unfortunate because this is a case where Mr. Nooks' career is being blighted by an allegation that, in my mind, cannot be substantiated in the court," asserted Mr. Tavares-Finson.

Mr. Nooks is to return to court on June 28.
