Bishop Escobar added to Guinness Sounds of Greatness

guiness-sounds-of-greatness-bishop-escobar.jpgSelector Carlos 'Bishop Escobar' Henry, has teamed up with Guinness for what promises to be another electrifying season of the Guinness Sounds of Greatness (GSOG) competition set to run from October to December.

The 'Made of More' brand recently signed Escobar to a contract that includes hosting duties for GSOG, advertisements and mixtapes, making him the second local ambassador the brand has signed this year.

"Guinness has a lot of respect in the streets. It is a bold drink that also connects with different groups," said Escobar who has grown in popularity among dancehall fans. "That is what I do, entertain people of all ages. Escobar is made of more. Any time yuh see me just know sey you ah go get more."

Escobar has become widely known for his unique mic skills and ability to entertain a crowd.

"My joviality, my crowd interaction, my entertainment package is different. Most selectors are focused on the serious part. My energy just different, it nuh stay like the rest," said the 33-year-old MC, who added that he's looking forward to a mutually beneficial relationship with Guinness. "I will endeavour to live up to the Guinness tagline, 'Made of More' in the music fraternity."

The new collaboration with Escobar is in line with the brand's longstanding support of Jamaican dancehall culture, which includes the annual GSOG series, sponsorship of Aidonia's Birthday Bash and the ambassador agreement with Busy Signal, which was signed earlier this year.
