The inaugural event last year, drew a crowd of 50,000 strong, and it would be no surprise if this year's event surpasses that.

The carnival promises non-stop live entertainment day and night with the best Bahamian musicians and their contemporaries from across the Caribbean and the around the world. According to the organisers, "If you love music, plan to attend the Carnival Kick Off from April 15-16, 2016 in Grand Bahama, where contestants in the Junkanoo Carnival Music Masters Song Competition will compete in a semi-final concert at Taino Beach. After Grand Bahama, get ready to amp up the music once again at the Music Masters Mega Concert on Friday, May 6, 2016 in Nassau."

The top 10 contestants will compete on the mega stage, alongside featured artists from around the world.
