st-lucia-jazz.jpgThe St Lucia Tourist Board is pulling out all stops for this year's Jazz and Arts Festiva, which runs from April 29 to May 8, 2016.

Now in its 25th year, the festival, which has evolved to incorporate an arts component with fashion and a marketplace for St Lucian artisans, would feature artistes to suit every taste.

For the youth, there will be Jamaican stars Shaggy and Omi, for the not so young: George Benson, Kool and the Gang and Air Supply, and for the lovers of Latin music, Marc Anthony will headline the event while Kassav will satisfy the souls of the creole music lovers.

One of the few regional festivals that promote real jazz, St Lucia will be going back to its jazz roots in a big way with artistes such as guitarist Ronald "Boo" Hinkson, Donald Harrison Jnr, jazz guitarist Chris Standring, musical group BWB and child prodigy, pianist Joey Alexander, among others.

Representatives from the St Lucia Tourist Board were in Trinidad last night at the National Museum where they unveiled the line up for this year with promises of more names to be released.
