Jamaica and Bob Marley - Theme for US Black History Month Celebration

bob-marley-photo-3.jpgJamaica and Bob Marley will be the theme for Destination Fridays, an event coordinated by the African American Research Library and Cultural Center and the Broward County College in the United States.

The event will take place as part of their black history month celebrations at the Cultural Center.

The event scheduled for Friday, will highlight the life of Bob Marley in tribute to the reggae icon.

The black history month celebratory event which is back by popular demand will feature Jamaican cultural items and Jamaican cuisine.

Executive Director of the African American Research Library and Cultural Center, Elaina Norlin says a particular destination is chosen for one Friday in every month one and activities are done surrounding that location.

Ms Norlin was speaking on NBC's '6 in the Mix' with Roxanne Vargas.
