JARIA to honour 17

jaria.jpgSome 17 stalwarts in entertainment will be honoured by the Jamaica Reggae Industry Association (JaRIA) during its annual awards at Courtleigh Auditorium in New Kingston on February 28.

Pioneer artiste, sound system operator and producer Cecil Campbell, better known as Prince Buster tops the list of awardees. Prince Buster, who is responsible for some of reggae's early iconic songs, including Wash, Wash, Judge Dread and Oh Carolina by the Ffolkes Brothers, which he produced, will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award.
