Big sound system night is Day 1 of Ninja's birthday bash

ninjaman-model.jpgFor the first time veteran deejay Ninjamans birthday bash will be staged over two nights, starting tonight, at the Turtle River Park in Ocho Rios, St Ann.

Now in its fourth year, the event is being called the Ocho Rios Festival.

According to Ninjaman,history will be created Friday night as it's the first time, outside of a world sound clash, that there will be six top sound systems and selectors coming together in one dance.

The sound systems are Bass Odyssey, Fire Links, Tony Matterhorn, Ricky Trooper, Pink Panther and Innocent Sound.

"Yuh never see that happen yet inna Jamaica and is not a world clash. That's the kind of entertainment Ninjaman is bringing to the people. On the second night is some of the top artiste inna dancehall we bringing to the people," the deejay explained.

For night two (Saturday) Ninjaman said except for Capleton, all the other advertised acts are down to appear.

"Just like my fans, the whole dancehall fraternity know how much I put into my show and that's why they always come out and support me. Capleton have to go an deal with a thing and him tell me he won't make it and I believe him. Capleton and Bounty Killer have been with me on this show from year one and support me to the fullest. Capleton is like my brother and if he is doing A St Mary Mi Come From this year, he know that Ninjaman will be there to support him. Saturday night is like a dancehall school and university. All the biggest artistes in dancehall. People who you don't see in a long while plus all the current dancehall artistes on one show."

The line-up for Saturday night includes Beenie Man, Bounty Killer, Busy Signal, Romain Virgo, Ghost, Elephant Man, Professor Nuts, Gully Bop, Luciano, Admiral Bailey, Tarrus Riley and others.
