Raheem Sterling abused after posting pic of himself with his niece daughter

Raheem Sterling has been subjected to vile racist abuse on Instagram after sharing a photograph of himself with his young daughter and his look-alike niece.

The England international, of Jamaican parentage, who joined Manchester City from Liverpool for L49million in July, uploaded the selfie with the caption: 'Perfect Sunday with my niece and my daughter #LaFam.'

But the 20-year-old's post was hijacked by rival supporters with one user labelling him a 'black c***' and 'disgraceful money grabbing b******' before adding: 'F*** your stupid family hope they burn.'

Sterling received similar abuse five weeks ago after uploading another Instagram snap.

The photograph showed himself and his three-year-old daughter, Melody, in a child's play pen and one user wrote: 'N*****. How much can I buy her for????? 200k? F****** snake. F****** disgrace to mankind. I hope a lion tears her to shreds. Snake b****.'

Another user posted banana emoticons and wrote: 'You arrogant money grabbing b******. I hate this money grabbing monkey. Just blow up yourself and your daughter.'

As some supporters criticised Sterling over his move from Merseyside to Manchester, others took to Instagram to defend the forward and show their outrage towards those posting vile abuse.

The angry backlash from Sterling's move to City during the summer also left his girlfriend, Paige Milian, on the receiving end of vile abuse previously. Milian was reportedly bombarded with 5,000 hate-filled messages on her public Instagram account, which subsequently went private.
