Music from Damian Marley, Sean Paul featured as soundtrack in popular movie

sean-paul-photo-5-more-details.jpgReggae dancehall artistes Damian 'Jr Gong' Marley and Sean Paul have had their music is now featured as a soundtrack in the popular movie, 'The Perfect Guy', starring American actors Sanaa Lathan, Michael Ealy and Morris Chestnut.

The film which was released last month received negative reviews from movie critics. However, the effort went on to gross more than US$57 million at the box office, unlike several movies released over the same period with better reviews.

Damian Marley's Welcome to Jamrock could be heard blaring from the speakers during a club scene, while the actors drank Jamaica's Red Stripe Beer. Sean Paul's recently-released single, Bust It, is played during a bathroom sex scene featuring actors Michael Ealy and Sanaa Lathan.

Meanwhile, Marley made headlines last week when it was announced by that the reggae act had signed on to Jay Z's music streaming service, Tidal, as a co-owner.

Sean Paul, on the other hand, has been dabbling with production and has released a new music video for his single, Take It Low. The song has already received close to a million views on YouTube and was produced by Sean Paul's own label, Dutty Rock Productions.
