In an official release, Forrester was described as an active member of the Senior Reggae Girls squad and a regular starter on behalf of Jamaica in the CONCACAF Women's World Cup Qualifying Tournament in the USA.

The release also said the technical staff remembers Forrester, a part-time lecturer at UWI, as one of the main players who assists the younger players with school work.

Captain Burrell calls Forrester's achievement a unique achievement for Jamaican players.

"It is a shining example to other sports athletes that academics and sports can be combined and both achieved to the highest level with discipline and determination.

It is for this reason why in recent years the JFF has included tutors with our national youth teams when they travel to represent the country," Burrell said.
