mighty-diamonds.jpgFitzroy 'Bunny Diamond' Simpson, of legendary reggae group, The Diamonds, reportedly suffered a minor stroke while driving in Kingston last week Monday (October 26).

According to his wife Sylvia, the 64-year-old singer did a Cat Scan last week and an MRI on Monday, Sylvia Simpson said.

She said doctors have told him to rest, which means he will likely miss the Diamonds' gig at the November 12-15 Rasta Rootzfest/Cannabis Cup in Negril.

Formed in 1969, the Diamonds are one of reggae's greatest groups. Africa, Right Time, Have Mercy, I Need A Roof and Pass The Kutchie are numbered among their strong catalogue of hit songs.
