Situated in the safe and secure Gore Business Complex, The Alibi is expected to give patrons casual elegant dining without the huge price tag and will also offer nightly entertainment packages, to suite the discerning individuals.

According to proprietor Mark Nelson, The Alibi will feature some of Jamaica's traditional dishes, all seasoned with local herbs and spices. He said powdered seasoning will not be used to prepare any of the dishes on the menu.

Among the entertainment plans for The Alibi is a fusion night in which two different genre of music will be joined to present one entertainment package for that particular night. So a possible fusion night could see an entertainer that specialises in jazz, sharing the stage with a cultural artiste.

Also, at the launch, was the first of the regular Friday Bounce, in which popular DJs will bring the party vibes to The Alibi.

Nelson said that the entertainment package will neither be "hyped or snobbish" and will give patrons an authentic Caribbean experience "at an affordable cost".

The Alibi opens its door each day at 11:00 am, with the departure of the last patron dictating when it closes. The venue is open air with modern facilities and provides adequate parking for the patrons.
