The accused, Omar James, popularly known as 'Judge', admitted to police that an illegal gun that he had in his possession was hid under his pillow and went off accidentally, killing his cousin at White Lane in Olympic Gardens. Williams, 14, was on vacation from Toronto, Canada for the summer holidays.

James appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Wednesday to answer to the murder charge.

He was remanded in custody until October 14.
