Stephanie Elliott, CEO of Compass Communications, said the festival will be used to introduce an international dancehall competition dubbed Dun Dem.

"It is a platform for dance groups of no more than four to six members to compete and win cash and an opportunity to travel to Europe in 2016 to compete for the 'Top International Dancehall Group," said Elliott.

The festival has also been endorsed under the Ministry of Tourism's 90 Days of Summer entertainment programme.

Day one is dubbed Welcome Party, while the second day will see a Mugs Beach Party.

"Day three is when the full activity takes place and patrons will enjoy the best of southern Jamaica by our displays of food, culture art and top quality entertainment with our Reggae Concert, said Elliott.
