Joey Brooks, the sister of the Gully Gad, Mavado, is happy with the reaction to her latest single, Serenity, a collab with her Live MB Music Productions label-mate Jay Prince.
To promote Serenity, Brooks and Jay Prince shot a video in Portland in May. It was directed by Ramon Lindsay.
The 28-year-old Brooks made her first appearance on the music scene in 2008 with the ballad, Heart Beat, produced by Ariff Butler.
She followed up with a handful of singles, before giving the music business a break to study nursing and become a certified nurse.
Back in the game, she hopes the positive response to Serenity is a sign of things to come.
