tifa-no-no-no.jpgDJ Madout's hyped introduction of dancehall artiste Tifa at Sunday's staging of the Red Bull Music Academy Yardcore Brooklyn Bashment in New York was enough to send the crowd comprising mainly Asians and Caucasians into overdrive.

And the artiste known for last year's crossover Billboard hit Bak It Up certainly lived up to expectations. Armed with old and new hits and freestyles, Tifa took patrons to dancing class with choreographed moves and routines.

"It was daytime! Fun! It was a mixed crowd persons from different cultures and ethnic backgrounds. I took back to school with dancing," Tifa said.

With a set spanning just half hour, Tifa reeled off well-known songs which saw patrons singing along word for word. New singles were also well received by the crowd. This is the second Red Bull Academy event at which Tifa has performed. She performed at Red Bull Culture Clash in New York two years ago.

Tifa recently shot the video for Tip Fi Di Strip, which has been getting positive feedback on radio. The song was produced by Dre Day and shot at Chai studios and the BMW/Stewart Automotive showroom. The video features the brand new 2015 BMW M4. She recently recorded the song Rock My Body (produced by Dre Skull of Mixpak Records) which is featured on the Black Light rhythm. The song has been featured in Fader magazine. Other upcoming releases include Ratings Tall on the Let's Rock rhythm from ZJ Chrome.

Other performers at the Red Bull Music Academy Yardcore Brooklyn Bashment event included Kranium, Assassin, aka Agent Sasco, Ricky Blaze and sound systems King Jammys, Federation, and Mixpak sound.
