Vegas a tough act to follow at major festival South by Southwest

Dancehall artiste Mr Vegas found the perfect opportunity to showcase his latest hit single 'My Jam' when he made an unforgettable appearance at South by Southwest at The Palm Door in Texas recently.

South by Southwest is a major festival held each year to showcase the artistic talents of various people around the world. This year South by Southwest included a Caribbean stage for which Mr Vegas wasted no time in making an impact. Large Up, the media sponsor of the even,t described Vegas' performance as a 'tough act to follow'.

Leading up to Vegas' mind- blowing performance were other memorable Caribbean artistes. Cultural artiste Kabaka Pyramid and his band Bebble Rockers opened the show with his conscious music, after which Nyla from Brick and Lace and Laza Morgan performed a few of their popular singles. Gyptian took the stage next and soon after Mr Vegas.

The My Jam deejay had the crowd soothed and rocking to his tune as he recited classics such as Heads High and I Am Blessed. Significant to his performance was his ability to connect with his audience.

He had patrons engaged in a dance off competition as he sang his single Bruk It Down. Soca extraordinaire Machel Montano went after Mr Vegas and had the crowd raving to his upbeat performance. Both artistes stole the show.
