Kite Festival set to sizzle Easter Monday with top reggae, gospel acts

ST ANN, Jamaica - Top female act Lady Saw; new sensation Dexter Daps; high-riding singjays I-Octane; the fiery prophet, Capleton; singer Christopher Martin and young veteran, General Degree comprise the reggae/dancehall segment of the 12th staging of the Jamaica International Kite Festival scheduled for Easter Monday.


On the gospel side, the festival which will be held at the Shazz Entertainment Ground in Priory, St Ann, will showcase the talents of Kevin Downswell, Lt Stitchie, Koko Doo, and Richie Stephens. Several of the island's top acts are scheduled for.


Start time is 10:00 am.


The Kite Festival is a highly respected family showcase which has an enduring reputation of providing the highest quality entertainment and all the right facilities for total enjoyment.

Attractions include a kiddies village with ferris wheel, waterslide and train ride. Cash prizes will be awarded in the kite competition.
