The defense in the high profile murder trial against dancehall deejay Vybz Kartel has closed their case.

Tom Tavres Finson is making an address to the jury regarding his criticism of the prosecution's case.

He has criticized the credibility of the prosecution's star witness along with the police officers who testified.

At the start of this morning's session, Defense attorney Tom Tavares Finson, raised concerns about the prosecution hiring handwriting experts and not informing the defense.

Mr. Finson highlights the use of one expert by the name of William Smiley who prepared a report in December on documents related this case.

In a statement from Mr. Smiley, the expert says that he had started analysis and the documents were requested to be returned the prosecution.

Finson also mentions the hiring of another expert, George Dixon who did one report on November 25 2013 and another on December 12, 2013. Finson says he did not know of this second expert until yesterday.

He says under the proper protocol procedure, this information should have been given to the defense.

In response, lead prosecutor Jeremy Taylor says that he did not see the importance of disclosing the report as it was inconclusive.

The judge says that as a minister of justice the prosecutor should have tendered the information to the defense.

Vybz Kartel and Shawn Storm along with three others are on trial for alleged 2011 murder of Clive Lizard Williams.
