A new dating website is offering committed Christian couples the chance to find 'swinging' partners has provoked backlash from Jamaican Christians and some unsaved persons.

The American site ChristianSwingers, seems to be a work-in-progress but is already getting quite some attention, makes it clear that its target audience is Christian adulterers who want to explore and share their love life with others.

A welcoming note on the website appeals to devoted Christians who have always been interested in exchanging their partners for a time of bliss but who have been stifled or afraid to do so before, to come forward now.

Reports are that rapper Sean Kingston will face trial in November, for an alleged gang rape.

The singer has been accused of raping a drunk teenager in his hotel room in 2010, but Sean insists the allegations are untrue.

The woman who is now 22 years old, claimed to have been forced into sex with Sean, his bodyguard and a member of his band in a Seattle hotel.

According to reports, the woman said all three men raped her while she was "reportedly intoxicated, making her incapable of consent".

The woman who is suing for 5 million dollars, says since the incident, her life has been "ruined", and that she has difficulty sleeping and suffers mood swings and panic attacks.

The singer has filed legal documents which insist the sex was completely consensual.

The woman in the attached picture is Sean Kingston's current girlfriend. Now why would he need to gang bang while dating a chick who has a ass like that? lets see how this winds out. Those groupies are serious.

sizzla-publicist.jpg

One of Sizzla's publicist says the artiste has been misinterpreted by the gay community. According to the publicist, patios and Jamaican phrases are being used in a negative way to mislead the public my the gay community. In a long release she said.

"For many months I have been watching and reading the articles that you all put out on Sizzla and other Reggae artists around the world. You are constantly misconstruing and misinterpreting their worlds to garner support for your cause. In the mean time you are defaming, and misrepresenting the artist, Jamaican culture, reggae music, freedom of speech, and freedom of choice. If the gay community has a right to publicly display their opinions about the subject matter, so should the straight community. Where are our human rights?

If you look at the issue of abortion, the pro-abortion community has a right to protect abortion and the anti-abortion community has the right to speak against it. Look at the gun law, some people are for guns and some people are against. People have a right to freedom of speech. We do not condone violence against any human being and embrace the human rights of all people. When Sizzla said, "There is a time and a place for everything. You know you have to deal with people respectfully and you know code of conduct and choice of words. But then again we say bun fire straight fi dat lifestyle," Sizzla added.

sizzla-photo-1.jpg

This is patois and you have not translated Patois properly into English, it is a different language. The translation is "There is a time and a place to do things especially in a diplomatic manner. You have to choose your words wisely and know how you conduct yourself. However, we will continue to speak out and make our stance known about our religious beliefs. For the record there has never been an attack by the Rasta community physically on any individual in the Gay community, but the Gay community has attacked Reggae and the Jamaican culture for over a decade through protest, cancelling shows, and revoking visas/work permits.

We don't condone violence towards anyone, but we live in a world with all types of beliefs and ideas. Everyone should be able to live peacefully amongst each other even if we agree to disagree. The Roman Catholic Church is against homosexuality, many religions, and people in general and they have a right to express their beliefs if they choose to.

It is unfair the way you tarnish the images of good people all because of your political agenda. Its needs to stop. Your tactics have depleted millions of dollars from the Reggae industry causing children, women, and families to suffer. You take these artist words in Patois and misconstrue, misinterpret, and defame the characters of these artist who are loved and do great things for the people in the world.

For the record, in Jamaica, homosexuality is illegal and their is an anti-buggering law. So you are taking what is illegal in one country and what they are entitled to do and say there, spreading it to parts of the world where homosexuality is legal, it is not justice. We are asking you to retract the article, if the article is not retracted, we will have our lawyers contact. you immediately."

Grammy-winning reggae musician Frederick 'Toots' Hibbert is suing several organisations after he was injured during a May concert in Richmond.

Hibbert has filed the $20 million lawsuit in Richmond Circuit Court against Venture Richmond and Metropolitan Richmond Sports Backers Inc.

The suit also names security-provider Regional Marketing Concepts Inc. and another company that provided concessions for the concert.

The leader of Toots and the Maytals was struck in the head with a tossed vodka bottle while he performed on Brown's Island in the James River. After suffering a deep head cut, Hibbert canceled the remaining dates on his tour and returned to Jamaica.

The Richmond Times-Dispatch reports that Venture Richmond objected on Monday to the allegation of negligence, saying the teen charged is solely responsible.

European Promoters mad at Elephant Man

elephant-man-photos-3.jpg
Reports are that Deejay Elephant Man was a no- show at several reggae shows for which he was booked.

It is further being alleged that retainer fees were collected on his behalf.

One of the shows is the annual Chiemsee Reggae Summer Festival, one of Europe's largest reggae shows, which takes place in the south of Germany in August.

Elephant Man was advertised to perform on August 23, opening night of the three-day show in Uebersee near Munich.

A public announcement on the show's website read: "We regret to inform you that Elephant Man will not be appearing at the Chiemsee Reggae Summer Festival 2013. After appearing on various shows in Europe, the artiste has hastily left from Brussels towards Jamaica, apparently with a six-figure amount he received in advanced payments as retainer fees from several show promoters. With this behaviour, Elephant Man has shown that he has no regard for contracts, and even worse, for his fans."

It is also reported on the Internet that Elephant Man failed to show for a concert at The Docks in the German city of Hamburg on August 17. It is alleged he was paid a retainer fee by promoters. The promoters were, however, not available to confirm or deny these allegations.

Elephant Man has had prior run-ins with German promoters. Scheduled tours to the country by the self-proclaimed 'Energy God' were cancelled in 2009 and 2012.

Elephant Man reportedly told a media house that he was not aware of any shows in Germany.

"I didn't have any show in Germany on Friday, nor did I collect a deposit to perform. I was in Europe for two weeks where I performed at several music festivals. If I was slated to perform on Friday I would not have left the continent on Thursday to return to Jamaica," said Elephant Man.

President Mugabe has taken a swipe at United States President Barack Obama for trying to "arm twist" African countries into submission by reportedly tying aid to African countries to the decriminalization of homosexuality.

Mugabe criticised US president Barack Obama's conditional aid and said western countries have targeted him for his stance on homosexuality. Addressing thousands of party supporters at a campaign rally in Mutare, President Mugabe reminded Obama that he was not born of out of homosexuality.

"Then we have this American president, Obama, born of an African father, who is saying we will not give you aid if you don't embrace homosexuality," President Mugabe said.

"We ask, was he born out of homosexuality? We need continuity in our race, and that comes from the woman, and no to homosexuality. John and John, no; Maria and Maria, no. International sources have reported that rapper 2 Chainz was on board the tour bus involved in a police standoff in Oklahoma last night and he's already been arrested in connection with the incident.

2 Chainz' tour bus was pulled over around midnight after police noticed its taillights were out. When they approached the vehicle, the police say they noticed signs of drug use and attempted to board the bus. But the bus driver locked the police out, insisting they obtain a warrant first.

Reports are that the police did just that and eventually entered the bus hours later, where they arrested 11 passengers for "interfering with the police process," including 2 Chainz.

It is unclear if they face additional charges. However, Law enforcement sources tells that drugs were found on the bus but they wouldn't specify what kind of drugs or how much.

Chainz later tweeted, "This sh*t will make u go crazy, our bus gets pulled 1 a week and they always say I smell weed I need to search ur bus. Sh*t gets tiring".

The rapper has since been released from jail and allegedly flipped everyone off in the process. Being the businessman he is, he also told them to buy his album.

According to the musical doctor the government did nothing to assist in the development of dance-hall music, yet they want to destroy it.

He also says the government tries to pretend that the success of Jamaican music was their doing, but outlines that this is a big misconception because ghetto people are the ones who campaigned night and day to make dance-hall music and reggae a success. The same campaigns which the government are hampering by locking of street dances.

yung-j-r.jpg

In come di yute call Yung J.R with a smashing, up-tempo tune for all the raggamuffins out there.

Yung J.R was briefly introduced to the musical world in May 2012 in a Gleaner article as the son of reggae star Junior Reid.

The youngster has decided to journey a similar path as that of his father with the release of his impressive Raggamuffin single, accompanied by an eye-pleasing music video.

scenes-from-raggamuffin-music-video.jpg

Not only has he chosen the musical path, but he also has a liking for the old school vibe describing his brand of music as "reggae/hip hop, but more of a roots-rock reggae, dub vibes, more like the '80s - '90s era with a lil' modern touch".

Having travelled to different continents and countries, and with musical influences such as Junior Reid, Hugh Mundel, Garnet Silk and Poor Righteous Teachers allowed him to develop an appreciation for diverse genres of music.

After years of recording in a home studio, it was not until he released Voices, a remix to his father's 1996 Listen to the Voices, that Yung J.R became cemented in the hearts of his peers as a recording artiste. Since then, he has collaborated with his father as well as underground rapper Chris Matic to release singles such as My City (2011), and High High (2012).

As a recording artiste Yung J.R has appeared on numerous stage shows as the opening talent for his father's performances.

Presently signed to Money Green Productions, he can be found working on his soon-to-be released E.P 'Start the Movement' with producers Joseph Reid (brother) of Money Green Productions and Stefan of BaSsick Records. The E.P hosts songs such as Raggamuffin and John Law and will feature talents such as his older brother Juju Blood.

Raggamuffin is currently available on iTunes. The song and video can also be found on Youtube.

Michael Dawson co-Author and CEO of Ghetto People Publishing, a company that gives a voice to the voiceless, says though it is a honor to have their work grace prestigious institutions - their main goal in writing the book remains, to educate Jamaican youths so that they can learn about themselves and how to make a better life in the so-called Ghetto.

"We knew that the content was powerful and factual, therefore, it is not really a surprise that University after University keeps ordering. However, the first time our representative visited the University of West Indies book store, they shunned us. Politicians cringe at the thought of the book being taught in school as it exposes the severe harm that the two main political parties have done to our people," said Dawson. "Mark my words, it will be in every Jamaican household because the powers that be will want to know what is it in this book that is empowering so many to look outside of politicians for solutions." He said.

serani-photo-1.jpg
Serani has come a long way since starting out as a keyboard player in a backing band at the turn of the millennium. After graduating through the ranks of the dancehall business as a session musician and then as part of hit-making producer triumvirate DASECA, Serani had a hand in the production of Sean Paul's Billboard smash We Be Burning, aswell as producing the Dutty Wine riddim and a lot more besides. Serani took the microphone in his hand in 2006 and has sold over 400,000 singles since, including Billboard-charting No Games.

Despite his hectic touring schedule - Serani did a staggering 70 dates last year in Europe, he has once again returned to his producing roots. Caribbean Drop riddim features two tracks, Fire Want Wood by Rockstone Media's Deep Jahi and a track by Serani that is based on the "One Drop" female dance craze sweeping Jamaica's dancehalls.

deepjahi.jpg

"Its been a while since the ladies had a dance just for them," said Serani. "So its a no-brainer to do a song specifically for them to bruk out to and express themselves. We have been promoting it in the streets and its had a great feedback, getting played for 20 or 30 minutes at a time in some dances."

Serani often finds that people don't know that he is far more than just a performing artist and has produced a 7 minute YouTube clip of him in studio breaking down how he made the Caribbean Drop riddim.

"Its just to let my fans see my versatility and hopefully can aspire upcoming producers," added Serani. "I show how I make riddims through adding layers and finding sounds and patterns, building it up to become the finished article."

The clip also shows colorful footage from some street dances as female patrons get down to the One Drop song and dance.

While he's not as famous as some his siblings Fabian Marley the eldest son of Reggae legend Bob Marley is keen on delivering his musical message to the world.

"I am the first son for Bob Marley, Ziggy and I was born the same year but of different mothers, I was born a few months before him.  Over the years I was never concerned about exposing myself to the world. I was more concerned about learning my craft, my father's spirit is always around me and he has told me to rise up now, go forward and do the works. A lot of the elders from Trench Town know me and have guided me in the music and it's time for the world to know me," said Fabian Marley.

Fabian Marley has been involved with music since he was a child; his first foray into music came via the sound-system route in his early teen age years.

"Music has always been a part of my world, I grew up surrounded by music, by the time I was 13 I began deejaying on a sound-system called Lover's Choice. When I was 16 I joined a band called Sounds of the Rainbow. From that point I got deeper in music, as I was fortunate enough to be able to be around the Skatalites. These great men of music taught me how to write and the compose music. Being around the Skatalites was a great experience."

Fabian Marley is confident that his time to shine will come as long as he remains dedicated to his craft and continue to do the work he says his father has commanded him to do.

"As you know blood thicker than water, my brothers and I are close and I am happy for their success in music and I know in time we will work together, but right now, I have to do my works. My musical help comes from my team that Rastafari has formed for I. My team is composed of several people from Jamaica, Africa, Europe, the UK, the United States and Canada, people like Sandyu Sandstormz and All Fruits Productions," said the artiste.

Fabian is currently working on the completion of an album titled Nature Valentine. So far he has released 3 singles off the album, Plant Some Peas, Island Jamaica and Nah Go Sey Mi Poor.

"The album is coming together nicely, it is scheduled to be ready before the end of the year. Right now we are promoting three singles off the album; these tracks are getting some good support right now from DJs all over the world."

An accompanying music video for Plant Some Peas was recently released. The music video which was directed by Courtney Winter is currently enjoying strong rotation.

Also in the works for Fabian Marley are a number of overseas engagements in Canada and Uganda later this year.

Reggae music fans in Jamaica will get a chance to see him in action before he travels for his overseas engagements, as he is slated to perform at the White House Culture Jam on 17th of August.

"I am booked to perform at the Whitehouse Culture Jam and I am really looking forward to this show because of what it represents. First of all it will take place on Marcus Garvey's birthday, that's of great significance for I and I. Secondly the show is being staged to raise funds to fight against domestic violence and I am happy to play my part in this fight. We must all do everything we can to bring about an awareness of the importance to stop domestic violence," he said.

Last year the Jamaican dancers lost the World Reggae Dance competition at the hands of the the Japanese, and this year they suffered the same faith as Japanese dance groups left Independence City at Ranny Williams Entertainment Center last Saturday Night with top honors.

Last year the Japanese winners were Japan Squad and that sparked major argument in the Jamaican dancing world as they blamed the dancers for using similar routines. This year it was not different and unsurprisingly the results were the same.

Attack Dem Squad from Japan were placed first in the competition and Yellow Yellow Squad also from Japan was placed second. The only Jamaican dancers in the top three was Endeverous Dancers.

Two of the three sectional prizes also went to foreign dancers. The Jamaican dancers suffered because they used similar choreographs and the same song sections such as Tommy Lee Sparta's Duh Wey Mi Feel which was played almost 100 times by different Jamaican dance crews.

The bad girl of beauty Foxy Brown is back to her old habits, according to a New York celebrity hairstylist.

The rapper -- who once faced charges for assaulting a nail technician -- has been accused of stealing $900 worth of weave from the salon of Genevieve "GStar" Jean-Baptiste at the UDJAT hair Salon, reports Rolling Out.

Jean-Baptiste put the weave in Brown's hair during her recent visit to the stylist's salon. However, when it came time for Brown to pay for her added length, the rapper came up just a little short.

Brown ran out of the shop with Jean-Baptiste following her, recording their confrontation on an Instagram video.

Jean-Baptiste can be heard saying, "Give me my money Foxy Brown" as well as "this is going to all the blogs." Brown then hands her what appears to be money in a clip.

Jean-Baptiste then posted a still from the video on Instagram, blasting the rapper for failing to pay her bill.

foxy-braun-comments-1.jpg

"Foxy Brown is a BUM SHE OWES ME MAD MONEY AND NEEDS TO BE STOPPED," she said.

Another hairstylist, Celena, appears to have had previous weave related issues with Brown as well. She re-posted Jean-Baptiste's video on her Instagram with her own harsh words directed at the Brown.

"This is the clearest I can get it... I applaud @hairbygstar for putting her on blast. Don't use your "status" to take advantage of people. If the everyday working class woman can pay for their services.. You can too #behindthechair #hairstylistproblems#weavology #weavologist #worldstarhiphop #wshh #," she said.

The "Ill Na Na" broke into tears when speaking with rap legend Big Daddy Kane and interviewer Sway Calloway about having to deal with what she feels are constant false reports about her in the press and on social media.

"I have tears in my eyes right now because what I've been through, you guys don't understand," said Foxy. "The fact that somebody can just lie, and it becomes a trending topic, where everybody is talking about it, and you have to constantly come out of the booth and stop what I'm doing to defend a lie."

Foxy has gotten more headlines the last few years for stories outside of her music; most notably her feuds with other female rappers, various legal troubles, and rumors surrounding Jay Z. Her last album was 2001′s Broken Silence.

Dancehall artiste Lisa Hyper has teamed up with mega freak /actor Bad Boy Trevor for a music video to her song called Gud Gud.

The song sounds good, however its a funny thought seeing both parties working together knowing their freaky history courtesy of their respective sex-tapes that were released to the public a few years ago.

Lisa is currently signed to an overseas based record label and has projects with Laza Morgan.

The track, produced by Mark "Mark Hize" Collinder and Garfield "Konshens" Spence for Subkonshus Music, has an up tempo vibe that compliments Lil Jon's energetic hip hop style. Upon his return from a successful European tour, Konshens stated "I could not refuse the opportunity to have Lil Jon, the crump king, featured on one of my tracks. The Big and Sexy song already brought a vibe to the dance but with Lil Jon added to it gives the song another fire".

Lil Jon, known for producing many hits such as 'YEAH' by Usher and 'Get Low' Remix featuring Elephant Man and Busta Rhymes among others, has always been a supporter and lover of the Jamaican culture.

Princeton is credited by many as being one of the best institutions in the world. A school attended by numerous world leaders.

Serani aims to Hit With New Works!

serani-photo-1.jpg

You can too #behindthechair #hairstylistproblems#weavology #weavologist #worldstarhiphop #wshh #," she said.

sizzla-publicist.jpg

The is one of the most shocking music videos since, Konshens and Left Side released a music video several months ago which showed a woman performing oral sex in a club. Another teenage artiste also released a music video in 2013 which showed a female exposing her breasts on camera.

Dancehall artiste Eklypse says he did not get any money to perform in Russia. According  the artiste the promoters did not send any deposit for his performance; therefore he opted not to travel to Russia. However they are trying to make it seem like he took their money and ran off.

"I want to apologize to my fans. I don't want you to believe that I got money for the show and I didn't turn up. I am not that type of person and I really wanted to perform," he said.

Eklypse says the allegations are damaging to his credibility, he is therefore seeking to inform other promoters to ignore the information posted on the websites.

The artiste is currently promoting Time Fi Mek Money which has peaked on several reggae charts on Russia, also featured on the song is up-and-coming dancehall artiste Darker Shades.

Mr Vegas has collaborated with R&B Superstar, Beyoncé on the remix of her song Standing In The Sun.

"The song is already done. It is basically being serviced to radio channels over seas," said the Bruk It Down singer.

The global superstar recently partnered with Swedish clothing line H&M for their summer campaign, releasing the single originally as part of an advertisement she featured in for the company.

The 31-year-old also performed the original version for the first time ever in her 'The Mrs. Carter World Tour'. The remixed version however, features Vegas' vocals and a faster rhythm, as they wantedto give the song a reggae vibe.

"They were basically looking for a reggae mix okay, a dancehall mix so they wanted to get a reggae artiste," said Vegas.

Mr Vegas has produced hits such as Hot Wuk, Taxi Fare and Tek Weh Yuhself in recent times and is shooting videos for three of his latest songs.

Additionally he is putting the finishing touches to his upcoming album, Bruk It Down 2.0, and hopes to release it soon.

According to a document filed, the United States government has also opposed Buju's appeal for a new trial.

Buju Banton's attorney Chokwe Lumumba who was recently appointed Mayor in Mississippi has since advised the reggae entertainer to seek other legal counsel.

Terri Wright told a reporter for a South Florida newspaper that she researched the case, apparently during the trial.
