The family of 16 year old Vanessa Wint are now seeking answers to the circumstances surrounding her death at the Horizon Remand Centre.

She was reportedly sent to the Remand centre for behavioral issues and was scheduled to be released in January.

Family members say they were made aware of her death from an anonymous caller about 8pm last night.

The Office of the Children's Advocate is now investigating the death and has sent a psychologist to the remand centre to provide counselling to other minors at the facility.
