This seems to be a great year for Jamaica on both Olympics scenes, Alphanso Cunningham won gold in the men's F52/53 Javelin at the London Paralympic games. 32-year-old Cunningham set a new Regional record with his throw of 21.84m in the event ahead of Iran's Jokar Abdolreza who was second in 20.72m.

Mexico's Mauro Maximo de Jesus was placed third in 20.14m.

Tanto Campbell and Sylvia Grant are set to compete in the men's Discus F54/55/56 tomorrow and women's Javelin on Thursday, respectively. We wish them all the best.
