Jamaican May be Extradited to Cayman for Bank Robbery

Thirty-six-year old Ryan Edwards, a Jamaican national, is now facing the possibility of extradition to the Cayman Islands in connection with a bank robbery.

Police said that he was held in St. Thomas last weekend, with cash totaling US$5,000 and CI$35,000, he has been remanded in custody until August 20th.

The Royal Caymanian Police confirmed that several of the currency notes found in Edwards' possession matched those stolen from the bank.

Police theorized that he left the Cayman Islands via boat. The necessary arrangements are now being made to extradite Edwards to face prosecution in Cayman.
