The Chief of security at the Jamaica Postal service, 43 year old Barrington Davis and a his female companion identified as Patricia Lurmot-Barnswell, 53, were abducted from his St John's Heights home in St Catherine shortly before 11 on Wednesday night and had not been seen or heard from since. Spanish Town police reports that both Barnswell and Davis were last seen together in St. John's Heights about 9:05pm but have not been seen or heard from since.
The Family believes that they were abducted from home, one family member said they got information that Davis and Lurmot-Barnswell were at home when they "heard intruders". Davis is believd to have triggered the alarm system installed at the house which was linked to a private security company. When the security company arrived they found the house was ransacked, the car was missing and they were nowhere to be found.
Investigators have since then collected statements from family members and dusted the house for fingerprints and have already begun their investigations into the case.
