Bob Marley's widow Rita and her children have brought action in the United States District Court, Central District of California against several parties that have been manufacturing, distributing and offering for sale certain potpourri/kush products which bear the Jamaican reggae legend's name, image, trademark, persona and likeness.

Fifty Six Hope Road Music Ltd, the company founded by Bob Marley's wife and children and the legal entity holding the trademark, publicity, persona and other intellectual property rights to iconic reggae artist Bob Marley, is bringing the lawsuit. According to Hope Road's general counsel Timothy Ervin of the firm Gallant & Ervin, LLC: "Hope Road has never granted a licence to any party to use any of the Bob Marley IP [intellectual property] on such products, which have been made to resemble synthetic marijuana.

"Hope Road intends to vigorously pursue any parties involved in the manufacture, distribution and sale of these infringing Bob Marley products."

Hope Road obtained an ex-parte seizure order and accompanied by the United States Marshal's office conducted a raid on the facilities of the named defendants earlier this month, seizing thousands of illegal Bob Marley products.

"We have never authorised any party to sell these types of products with our father's image and likeness on them and are very upset to see that people are buying these products and being harmed by them," said Cedella Marley, a director of Hope Road and Bob's daughter.

"As a result we felt compelled to take action against the parties that have been illegally manufacturing, distributing and selling these unauthorised goods."

The police have joined in the probe into yesterday's mysterious chemical leak in a section of Portmore in St. Catherine to determine whether the emission was as a result of illegal activities.

After the fumes were detected close to midday, the Portmore Toll Road was ordered closed and the commercial district on Marcus Garvey Drive as well as Kingston Wharves evacuated.

Last night the authorities identified the general location of the emission but had not determined the source.

Reports are that five employees of the toll operations were treated for respiratory problems triggered by the fumes.

Environment Minister Robert Pickersgill is to get a preliminary report on the gas leak.

Diana King confirms that she is LESBIAN

My name is DIANA EUGENA KING, known to most as DIANA KING my fans call me KingSinga.

I AM ... WOMAN ... MOTHER ... AUNT ... JAMAICAN ... AMERICAN ... INTERNATIONAL ARTIST ... SINGER ... SONGWRITER ... BAND LEADER ... FRIEND ... LOVER ... ENTREPRENEUR ... GODDESS! among other things AND YES!!!...

I AM A LESBIAN ... the answer to my most asked INDIRECT question.

I welcome the "WHO CARES" right now LOL.

I answer now, not because it's anyone's business BUT because IT FEELS RIGHT WITH my SOUL and I believe by not answering or hiding it all these years somehow makes it appear as if I AM ASHAMED OF IT or THAT I BELIEVE IT IS WRONG. I FEEL NEITHER OF THOSE THINGS ... or I would have grown my hair. But all kidding aside, I AM a private person, but sometimes, one has to step outside of their comfort zone to GROW. This here, that I'm doing, is my road. Not everyone will OR is required to travel this way. Some people will carry this fact about themselves to the grave and that's their prerogative but, a "GOOD" reputation can be a GIGANTIC LOAD in a girls backpack. I KNOW now that it's time I fully practice the meaning of my face tattoo, which is LOVE YOURSELF LIVE YOURSELF. I JUST WANT TO KEEP IT REAL.

HONESTLY SPEAKING, I have always been AFRAID to admit it openly, because of the UNKNOWN of what it may cause negatively, to me my career my family and loved ones. But  I realized that it is not my job to make others COMFORTABLE, I AM ONLY RESPONSIBLE FOR MY LIFE, the stuff U think about on your deathbed and at this point in my life I DO NOT CARE about the things that FRIGHTEN me anymore. My biggest regret is that I didn't COME OUT earlier because being silent has held me back from being ALL that I was born to be. The DEEP FEAR that I've had, especially that my own JAMAICAN PEOPLE will judge me and not accept me because of their homophobia has been a heavy burden. I fly my country's flag HIGH. Always with respect and honor everywhere I go, there is no doubt where I AM from, especially in my music. And I am nothing but PROUD of myself and my accomplishments, no one can take that away from me, IT IS already written in the History Books. But I often wonder, if  JAMROCK would have STILL been proud of me if they knew the truth from the days of SHY GUY. So even though I'm a woman of the world, living out of my massive duffle bags in different countries, week after week month after month , JAMAICA has been in my head with great LOVE and absolute FEAR. The harsh reality that people like ME are persecuted, beaten, jailed, raped and murdered everyday JUST for being who they are or JUST EVEN BEING SUSPECTED OF IT. It's what I saw too many times growing up in SPANISH TOWN and living in KINGSTON and it scared me to death. I COULDN'T WAIT TO GET OUT OF THERE. It is hard to imagine the anguish inside if you are not considered an ABOMINATION I and cannot relate personally. BUT GO AHEAD ...  IMAGINE IT for a minute.

And I can only image what it is like, living there and enduring that reality everyday 24/7 365 days of the year. I WILL NOT carry this baggage ANYMORE. In about 10 years I will B older than both my parents before they died. MY PERSONAL NEED to be 100% authentic and TRUE to myself and to make sure my children learn, especially from me, not to EVER be afraid to be WHO THEY ARE is stronger than any insecurities I may have had over the years. I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN WHO I AM from the moment I could think and had even tried to be THE OPPOSITE because of society's pressures. Trying to LIVE A LIE is horrible, whether GAY or STRAIGHT and for me, was the saddest part of it all because it only caused immense pain to everyone involved. I have been myself to the fullest ALL EXCEPT for when I came to my sexuality. And it is particularly tormenting U R a FREE SPIRIT. Only people who were very close knew because I told them. I've never felt comfortable being around or working with people who were UNCOMFORTABLE with that fact ...  and I thought for a long while that that would be enough. But it wasn't and it is not. NOT FOR ME ... it feels like living INCOMPLETE. I have MUCH RESPECT and deep ADMIRATION for all those who have COME OUT before me, Dead or Alive. I have stood on the sidelines COVETING your bravery. YOU and LOVE have given me the COURAGE.

I could have STAYED SAFE AND HIDDEN but for me, IT WOULD MEAN THAT ALL THOSE WHO HAVE DIED for BEING LIKE ME ... ALL DIED IN VAIN. JUST LIKE BLACK PEOPLE WHO DIED FOR ME SO THAT I COULD HAVE THE OPPORTUNITIES AND RIGHTS I NOW HAVE ... WOULD HAVE ALL DIED IN VAIN (and if U think some of them weren't gay and lesbian as well U R sadly mistaken)  ... BUT IF I DID NOT or DO NOT TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE FREEDOMS THEY GIVE ME AND CARRY THAT TORCH and KNOWLEDGE with DIGNITY and SHOW MY GRATITUDE and RESPECT and DO MY PART BY LIVING A LIFE THAT WOULD MAKE THEM PROUD, it would B like spitting in they faces. NOT TOO LONG AGO, I would NOT have been able to go to school much less college. Maybe I would have been ALLOWED to sing for them but NOT touch them. The mic I used would B thrown out AND I would probably have to open my legs REAL WIDE before I got paid a SMALL FRACTION of what I deserved if any at all. I would have had to use the NIGGA back door and stay in a THE NIGGA HOTEL. I couldn't fly 1st class, PLEEEEASE try NO-CLASS, a girl like me would have to take a boat and keep out of sight at the very bottom. I COULDN'T B in the presence of white people if I wasn't the maid. And if they felt HAPPY they might just celebrate by RAPING or LYNCHING ME. All because their interpretation of the BIBLE said, WE WERE LESS THAN HUMAN. I haven't forgetten the PAST, the INSANITY but it is HISTORY and not meant to be a disrespect to my caucasian family. MY fans come in every shape, age, color, class and creed and I LOVE and APPRECIATED ALL of them. Weve come a far way and have a ways to go, but we HAVE GORWN. I'm not here to compare to fight or defend myself or to debate wrong or right. BUT KNOW THIS!

WE ARE everywhere and everyone whether U acknowledge US or not. WE R people U love and cannot live without. WE bring U joy and entertain U. Some of U have even gotten married and made love to our songs, repeated our quotes and have our Art hanging in your homes. WE save your lives in hospitals and in wars, WE defend U in the courts and stand up for your rights WE design the clothes and shoes U just have to have and cannot live without U hand us your money at the banks WE fly U to the beautiful and exciting places U love to travel to WE give U knowledge and inspiration everyday with our words, music and dance. WE hold your hands and pray for U on your deathbeds WE R your NEIGHBORS your FRIENDS and your FAMILY.

I am not seeking anyone's approval.

The people I love and care about the most, love me no matter what and my true fans love my music and my positive energy on and off-stage. I have never been disrespectful to anyone, and have repeatedly shared my deepest thoughts and feelings with you and have demonstrated my UNWAVERING LOVE and COMPASSION for humanity, time and time again thanks to social media. I have been blessed with eyes that only see a person's HEART, not the labels placed on them, whether obvious or not. And if there is a GOD .. that trait, my best quality, came straight from the ALMIGHTY. That is  WHO I AM to MY CORE and I cannot B anything else. I cannot tell where this will lead but I KNOW, I WILL B ALRIGHT and just like ths status I posted a few day ago, I have two options.

"I KNOW not just BELIEVE, THAT IF I LEAP OFF THIS LEDGE INTO THE DARKNESS OF WHAT IS UNCERTAIN ... I WILL EITHER LAND ON MY FEET ON SOMETHING STRONG or I WILL GROW WINGS AND FLY.

As usual, MUCH LUV AND GOOD VIBES TO U ALL. AND IF U DECIDE NOW THAT U DO NOT "LOVE" ME ANYMORE ... KNOW THIS!!! NOTHING WILL EVER MAKE ME STOP LOVING U.

A US-based criminal defense attorney, is giving a cautious opinion about reggae entertainer Buju Banton's chances of securing a new trial, following Thursday's dismissal of  his case by the US Appeal Court.

Buju was appealing his 10 year sentence for conspiracy to distribute cocaine, and the use of a phone to facilitate a drug crime.

The 11th Circuit Court of Appeal not only dismissed the appeal, but reversed the not guilty verdict for his gun possession conviction.

The court also sent Buju's motion for a new trial back to the District Court to decide if enough evidence is there for a new one.

Florida-based defense attorney, Wayne Golding, remains cautious about Buju's attempt to get a new trial.

Usain Bolt sprinted away with over $1.8 billion over the past 12 months, according to leading business news publication, Forbes Magazine, which recently released its list of the world's 100 richest sports personalities.

Bolt, who has been the poster boy for athletics, has gone on to dominate his events over the past four years, all this time raising the value of the sport and, by extension, his brand.

His US$20.3 million earnings leaves him in the number 63 position, and again makes him the only track and field athlete among the 100 highest-paid sports personalities. The list accounts earnings between June 2011 and June 2012. Bolt is believed to command in the region of US$300,000 in appearance fees per track meet.

The bulk of the athlete's earnings come from his numerous commercial deals, with Forbes accrediting US$20 million of his US$20.3 million income to endorsement arrangements with companies such as Puma, Hublot and Gatorade.

Bolt's contract with Puma is his largest to date and is believed to be in the region of US$10 million - one of the largest shoe-company contracts in the world.

Under heavy police guard, Busy Signal was escorted yesterday morning from the Tower Street Adult Correctional Centre, to the Norman Manley International Airport, where he was handed over to United States Marshals.

The law enforcement agents, including members of the Department of Correctional Services, bypassed the usual public passenger channel and opted to use the general aviation section of the airport where the artiste's travel documents were processed.

The police party, which hid him from the press, then hurriedly whisked him away in a convoy, on to the tarmac from which he boarded a private aircraft and flew out of the island.

Busy, whose real name is Glendale Gordon, was extradited to Minnesota in the US to answer charges connected to narcotics offences, allegedly committed in 2002. According to the police, he was offered bail after being charged with the narcotics offences, but later fled to Jamaica, where he has been hiding under a false name for more than a decade.

Statement from Gaza Slim

gaza-slim.jpg

Everyone is releasing statements re Portmore Empire, some truthful than others so I think its time to release mine.

In a statement released by Popcaan (which I doubt was written by him considering how grammatically correct it was) is nothing but lies in an attempt at keeping the support of Gaza fans, and by Gaza, I mean Kartel because he is Gaza.

Firstly, before his arrest, Kartel did bookings for Popcaan which was handled by Calvin Haye and Andre Henry, not by the Worldboss himself, as we all know he staff to do these things.

As Kartel was arrested, Popi immediately diverted his bookings way from Moonie and Pimpin who were not arrested as yet, to other people, although the boss had invested time and money for which he has not been recompensed.

Secondly, when the boss was arrested he was held at a small jail where anyone could have visited. I know because I did.

Popi didn't visit because a certain producer told him to "stay far from Kartel, him nah see back road." Thirdly, in his statement, Popcaan said that he and Kartel spoke through letters.

I see the Boss in court regularly so I know that's a lie.

The only thing Teacha say when I ask if Popi link him is "Me nuh wah see him. Yuh nuh see how him a move. Me wish him the best."

I just want to say to Popcaan:

1. Stop the lies.

You and I know that Worldboss nuh want nothing from you cause dem man deh full a pride, an him pay all a we lawyer fee.

2. The reverse psychology that you're using to try look decent, a Kartel teach you that.

So don't try use it on his fans, because I was there when the white man asked you if you were going to visit Kartel and you said "Why me haffi go?" Lastly, stop send out statement bout 'bare badness backa dat." Maybe a people you a try impress but, sigh, me haffi laugh.

That's all I am going to say.

This is my only statement on the Portmore Empire.

- Vawnessa Saddler aka Gaza Slim.

digicel-vs-lime.jpg
LIME Jamaica has responded to news that Digicel has asked the Supreme Court to review the law which granted the Office of  Utilities Regulation, (OUR), powers to reduce interconnection rates.

LIME's Managing Director, Gary Sinclair, expressed shock that Digicel has responded in this manner in the wake of his company's decision to slash call rates.

Digicel has asked the Supreme Court to grant it leave to apply for an order preventing the OUR from enforcing the new termination rate which it says is neither necessary nor justified.

The telecommunications company adds that with the new rate it will suffer substantial revenue loss and significant damage to its reputation.

LIME is not ruling out the possibility of  joining the OU, in the event that the agency has to mount a defense to the suit brought by Digicel.

LIME's Managing Director, Gary Sinclair, is of the view that the company can join the case as an affected party.

Two members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force are behind bars this morning after being held in connection with separate cases of sexual assault in Clarendon.

One of the incidents involves a minor.

Reports are that a Constable had been arrested after being accused of having sex with a girl under the age of  16.

A statement from the Constabulary Communication Network, CCN, says the incident took place on the night of June 9.

According to reports from the May Pen Police, the policeman lured the complainant into his vehicle and sexually assaulted her. A report was made and following investigations, he was arrested and charged.

In the second case, a constable attached to the Lionel Town Police was arrested for indecently assaulting a woman who went to the station on June 11 to file a report.

It's alleged that about 2:30 in the morning, the complainant was asked to accompany the cop to a room, where she was forced to perform sexual acts.

The woman made a report and the constable was arrested. CCN says investigations continue into both cases.

No disrespect to the producers or artists on this 50th anniversary song, but if this is the music that best represent our 50yrs of independence, then I need to fall back to sleep & don't wake up.

The bias & favoritism is so ugly in Jamaica & they are not even trying to hide it anymore.

I have never been approached to be apart of any project that represent Jamaica, because those slots are reserved for the uptown artists and their friends, not necessary for the artists who works hard, and is relevant outside of Jamaica.

I sent "Sweet Jamaica" Feat Shaggy & Josey Wales to the Jamaica Tourist Board & they said its not doing enough, I must try again when it start doing better, I hope this POP 50th Anniversary song is what you were looking for.

If you think I am badmind, i've heard that so many times when I speak the truth; I will post your POP 50th Anniversary song & "Sweet Jamaica" and let the people judge for themselves.

God nah sleep.

Am not saying that this (SWEET JAMAICA) should be THE song for our 50th anniversary, but I think this is what Jamaica is about! You can't hide the truth from the people, it should be no bias or favoritism involve with our presentation, because we are all Jamaicans.

Artists & people agree with what I am saying, but dem fraid to speak out! Well REBEL VEGAS huh fraid fi talk.

I am a Jamaican, so I have a voice in this.

On A Mission - Jamaica 50 - The Official Song

Statement from Andrae Sutherland aka Popcaan

Webmin
1 Comment
popcaan.jpg

This statement is addressed to all media and my fans. Because of facts mixed with persistent rumors I feel that I need to set the record straight. I will not be making any further statements or conducting any interviews on these subjects.

Portmore Empire

The world already knows that my career was launched from the greatest dancehall school and business entity, The Portmore Empire/ Adidjaheim Records led by Vybz Kartel. Since Vybz Kartel's incarceration in September 2011, I remained a loyal and contributing member of this unit until May 2012 when the Portmore Empire was dissolved.

Rumors started as early as September 2011 that I had left the Portmore Empire, this was not so. My actions in October 2011 were to seek booking representation as this very important function was no longer viable for me with the incarceration of the head of my management and booking company. To date I have no formal management or booking agreement and only since June 2012, with the dissolution of the Portmore Empire have I engaged the services of a lawyer to put these agreements in place.

From September 2011 to present I have worked hard and stayed focused on my career with my main intention to make sure that the music from the Portmore Empire was being released and the brand remained in the forefront of the dancehall music industry. I feel that I did that to the best of my ability with the release of songs like Party Shot, Fry Yiy, Coolie Gal, Bad Mind, She A Gwaan Good, Nuh Sell Out and Step Like Dead and with performances all over the world.

Visiting Vybz Kartel:

Since his incarceration I have not visited Vybz Kartel, nor have any members of the Portmore Empire visited him to date. In September 2011 it was explained to us that only family members were allowed to visit at set times once a week. On several occasions when I enquired about visitations I was told that this was not advised. Later Vybz Kartel communicated through letters that I should focus on my career and stay away from the police. All our communication has been focused on updates on my career, my song releases and stage shows and general discussions as one would express in the present situation. Up until May 2012 when the Portmore Empire was dissolved we maintained a business relationship.

I am grateful and am loyal to Vybz Kartel for the opportunity of working with the Portmore Empire, for everything I learned from him about the music business, life, friendship and family. He is a brother, a father figure, "mi real chargie". He has influenced and will continue to influence my career as one of my favourite artists and from the day we met at the Chromatic party 'My Scheme' in Portmore in 2009 to collaborating on hits like Clarks, Hot Grabba, Never Fear Dem and other songs.

I look forward to working again with Vybz Kartel and will be checking with producers to see what previously recorded material they may have that I can include on my album which I will start working on soon.

Informer by Vybz Kartel featuring Tommy Lee The song Informer was recorded by Vybz Kartel in August 2011 and added to by Tommy Lee in May 2012.

These lyrics in no way pertain to me. To create friction and controversy, some persons have tried to dissect the song line by line but the fact remains that this song was not recorded about or toward me. Every word sang by Tommy Lee in this song could have been sung by me but this is the time for Tommy Lee to get the exposure and recognition from a collaboration with Vybz Kartel.

PG13

Vybz Kartel has explained that with no negative intentions and with his blessing and the possibilities of working together in the future, he thinks I have shown where I can work with my own career and that he will form a unit named PG13 for upcoming artists and include two former Portmore Empire members.

I am not a member of PG13.

Elvis 'Sounique' Redwood

Elvis Redwood has made it public that he is one of the producers working with PG 13 and he also keeps making defamatory statements about me. I know these are related to his disappointment because I did not voice on his 'Aurora Skies' riddim and it did not pass Half Way Tree. Because of his reaction to this and the way he constantly refers negatively to me throughout the music industry and the media my statement here is that I will never voice on any riddim he produces.

My main producers remain TJ Records, UIM Records, Young Vibez, ZJ Chrome, Not Nice Records and MixPak Records. I also record any riddims that I like by other producers.

GAZA

I am Gaza for Life.

I have never said and will never say I am not a part of Gaza. Gaza is my original home and foundation and I will always remain loyal to the Gaza.

As I move forward and progress in the music industry I will use my success to bring forward other artistes like Vybz Kartel did for me and like Bounty Killer did for him.

Unscrupulous persons have called me and my family members with threats on my life, my family's lives and threats to bottle my performances. I will not focus on this as I remain committed to my music, my career and my fans. Thanks to everyone for all the messages of support and encouragement that keep coming to me from fans in the streets, the media, the music industry and all the social networks.

I can only be myself and bring my own energy and vibes to the music industry, I remain the same fry yiy, hotskull, peppa skull, boil brain, popskull from 3West Portmore dat Vybz Kartel buss to di world. Wi born unruly wid baay badness pack up all ova dat so... do remember... a di whole place a say fry yiy and the undisputed best mixtape of 2012 "Yiy Change" is still available for download at www.popcaanmusic.com. Father's Day festival is considered extremely important as it helps in the acknowledge the contribution of fathers to individual families and to societies as large.

The sentiment goes a long way in strengthening father-child relationship and consequently in the emotional development of a child.

Fathers are the biggest source of strength for a child. The innocent eyes of a child perceive father as the all-powerful, most knowledge, truly affectionate and the most important person in the family.

For daughters, fathers are the first men they adore and fall in love with. While for sons their fathers are the strongest person they know and someone they aspire to emulate.

For this great figure in our life that we know as father - it becomes our utmost duty to pay our humblest tribute on the occasion of Father's Day

Lime sets historic low mobile rates

Jamaica's leading telecommunications company, LIME, announces historic mobile rates effective tomorrow, June 15 2012 that will revolutionise the Jamaican mobile market. At a press conference hosted at its Kingston headquarters yesterday, Garry Sinclair, Managing Director revealed the new TALK EZ plan with an unprecedented one rate $2.99 per minute charge for on-net prepaid and international calls to the USA, Canada & UK landlines. Consumers can opt in to the new TALK EZ plan by dialling *123*1# and pressing send.

"This is truly ground-breaking for the entire industry. It is also a seminal moment in our nation's history with consumers as the biggest winners. LIME Jamaica is leading the charge in making voice calls cost significantly less," Sinclair highlighted. "TALK EZ's "one-rate" charge means that a consumer can call a relative in Clarendon, Toronto or New York for the same unbelievably low rate of $2.99 per minute," he continued.

"LIME understands the economic challenges everyone is facing and wants Jamaicans to be able to stretch their disposable income. Communication is no longer a luxury, it's a necessity and we are proud to lead Jamaica into an era of true telecommunication liberalisation," he added.

TALK EZ post-paid customers will pay $1.99 per minute for all on-net calls, which is also a historically low rate for Jamaica. Calls from LIME customers to other local networks have also been dramatically reduced to $6.99 per minute - the lowest rate available in Jamaica. Sinclair further announced an extraordinary offer on Alcatel phones for $999 a 50% price reduction. Customers who purchase the phone tomorrow (June 15th) will also receive the same amount paid ($999) in top up credit for one-day only (June 15), while stocks last. The company will also be offering SIM Cards for $300, down from the usual price of $500. LIME stores island-wide will extend business hours tomorrow by opening an hour earlier and closing at 7:00 p.m. for greater customer convenience.

"We thank all our customers who have stayed with us over the years, especially our very loyal post-paid customers. We also thank the Claro customers who came on board a few months ago and extend a special encouragement to those on the other network to come over to the LIME and enjoy real value, superior data experience and extraordinary savings!" Mr Sinclair said.

With a strong emphasis on delivering value, the company which successfully advocated for a level playing field recently welcomed the announcement of the interim mobile termination rate set by the Office of Utility Regulation (OUR) and swiftly moved to make good on its commitment to pass on additional value to the consumer.

R. Kelly is slated to perform at the 20th edition of this year's Reggae Sumfest in Montego Bay, Jamaica. R. Kelly missed last year's Reggae Sumfest due to an illness. He was however replaced by reggae crooner Cocoa Tea.

Trey Songz's July 20 performance (International Night 1) will be followed by R Kelly on July 21 (International Night 2).

According to Sumfest Organizers, R. Kelly was disappointed that he could not make it last year.

"R Kelly was so disappointed with not being able to come to Sumfest last year that we spent the whole year trying to work out a make-up date, which was Reggae Sumfest 2012," said Sumfest organizer, Johnny Gourzong, when questioned about the artiste in this year's line-up.

The Sumfest stage was taken over by Nicki Minaj last year, and in previous years, Usher and Chris Brown massaged the ears of the event's supporters.  This year's Sumfest will be particularly special for fans and performers alike as this year marks Reggae Sumfest's 20th Anniversary and Jamaica's 50th.

Rising temps can put a serious crimp on your sex life--getting a little sweaty is hot; swimming in sweat is so not. Want to get down and dirty without overheating? Stick to these summer-sex positions. They'll keep you nice and cool so you can focus on being naughty.

To keep yourself as cool as possible with this position, place a fan by your guy's feet and angle it up toward your bodies. Find a tall-backed chair, pad it with some pillows, and sit him down. Straddle his hardened member and lean back slightly, placing your hands on his knees. Extend your legs, one at a time, until each of your ankles is resting on one of his corresponding shoulders. Pump your booty back and forth at a speed that makes you moan

Lauryn Hill owes Uncle Sam big bucks.

The IRS filed charges against the artist for failing to pay more than $1.5 million in taxes for money she earned from 2005 to 2007.

Hill then took to her tumblr account to explain why she did not pay rent.

She wrote that she stopped paying taxes after she felt it was necessary to withdraw from society for the safety and well being of her family, citing "false entitlement, manipulation and racial prejudice."

"It was critically important that I find a suitable pathway within which to exist, without being distorted or economically strong-armed," she wrote. "Failure to create a non toxic, non exploitative environment was not an option."

She continued: "Obviously, the danger I faced was not accepted as reasonable grounds for deferring my tax payments, as authorities, who despite being told all of this, still chose to pursue action against me, as opposed to finding an alternative solution," she wrote.

The five-time Grammy winner could face up to a year in prison or pay $100,000 in fines.

London Police cancel potential Kidd Concert

The Metropolitan police were forced to lock down a show featuring Potential Kidd at the Da Boss Nightclub at Woolwich High Street in London, England on Monday night after the cramped, overcrowded conditions became dangerous for the partygoers themselves.

"The club has a capacity of 2000 persons, and the club was rampacked, and there were at least as many people outside as inside so the police were called in to lock it off because the club was overcrowded," Potential Kidd's manager, Angeletta McKenzie sad during an international call on the night the show.

Potential Kidd is in the middle of a 14-gig tour of the United Kingdom that will see him perform at clubs in Nottingham, Birmingham, London, and Brixton over the next couple of weeks.

Potential Kidd burst on the dancehall scene like a surface-to-air missile earlier this year, scorching the airwaves with his catchy singalong single, A Yah Suh Nice, and its raunchier version was a monster hit on mixtapes all over the island. He followed up that success with 'Urgency' which racked up over 200,000 hits on youtube.

He then inked a one-year recording deal with VP Records on the strength of his popularity in the underground dancehall market. He suffered a bit of a PR blowback when telecommunications LIME giant cancelled the artiste's involvement in a Champs promotion which would have required the artiste performing at a school concert because of the suggestive content of the unedited version of Kidd's single Ah Yah So Nice.

Since then, the artiste has redoubled his efforts in the recording studio to follow up on the success of A Yah Suh Nice. He has a slew of new singles which include God a Come Dung, Mi Tink a Foreign, Tight Tight, How Many Time and Love Mi Mamma.

New York: Two years after his USA work permit was initially cancelled, controversial DJ Beenie Man, aka Moses Davis will return to the USA for a performance at the inaugural 'Groovin In The Park' concert on Sunday, July 1, 2012 at Roy Wilkins Park, Queens, NY. Beenie Man was one of five top Jamaican entertainers whose visas and work permits were revoked by the Embassy of the United States in Kingston, Jamaica in April 2010.

"I am extremely excited to announce that our booking agent here in New York was able to secure a work permit for the dancehall king Beenie Man to be a headline performer at this year's 'Groovin In the Park' concert on July 1," and elated Christopher Roberts, CEO of Groovin Inc., parent company of Groovin In The Park said.

"Music fans in the tri-state area have been waiting for a very long time for the opportunity to see Beenie Man perform live here in the USA again. I am glad we were instrumental in making it happen for the fans. Beenie Man is an extremely talented entertainer and we are happy that he will be again able to showcase his talents on stage in New York" Roberts said.

R&B crooner R Kelly who was originally booked for the Queens concert will not perform.

"Kelly will no longer perform at the 'Groovin In The Park' concert because of a scheduling conflict with the date of our festival on Sunday, July 1" Roberts said.

"We have added Beenie Man and also plan to add an exciting high calibre R&B artiste to the line up. An announcement will be forthcoming in the media shortly" he said.

Other headline performers for 'Groovin In The Park' are Boyz 11 Men, Jimmy Cliff and Beres Hammond.

'Groovin In The Park' is in part a tribute to three great nations who are celebrating independence anniversaries: the United States celebrating 236, and Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago who are both celebrating 50 this year.

Detectives from the Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA) say the female student boarded the bus at the Rockfort Depot.

The driver allegedly detoured with the lone passenger, stopped the bus then proceeded to the back of the vehicle where he allegedly held the student against her will and sexually molested her.

The matter was reported to CISOCA and he was arrested and charged.

Erotic Instructions:

Lie back on your bed (or on any soft surface) with a pillow placed under your head. Bring your knees up to your breasts and cross your legs at your ankles. Your guy kneels right in front of you with his legs touching, leans in, and pulls your hips onto his angled lap. Keep your thighs glued together and gently press your feet against his chest for leverage as he slowly enters you. You can stroke his thighs as he moves back and forth with steady, ultrasnug thrusts.

Why You'll Love It:

What makes this carnal connector a triple treat is the fire-starter friction created by crossing and clamping your legs together. That super rub-a-dub means more sensation for you both. Plus, this compact pose increases your ability to contract your PC muscles - which when tightened can heighten his pleasure by squeezing his penis, and yours by creating more awesome tension in your nether regions.

Diana King confirms that she is LESBIAN

diana-king.jpg

Listen for new music and look out for di fry yiy Ravin King coming to a city near you... big up di fans worldwide.

Happy Fathers Day!

A 38-year-old man - who is said to be HIV positive - from Nannyville Gardens, Kingston 3, is now in police custody after being charged for raping the 16-year-old school friend of his daughter.

Reports are that the man is alleged to have assaulted the teen while she was at a sleepover at his house with his daughter in May of this year.

Pump your booty back and forth at a speed that makes you moan

lauryn-hill.jpg

London Police cancel potential Kidd Concert

kidd-concert.jpg

Dancehall artiste Busy Signal is expected to be extradited to the United States before the end of the week to face a charge of absconding bail.

There were reports that preparations were being made to turn him over yesterday to US Marshalls who will accompany him to Minnesota where the charge was laid.

A police source disclosed that the entertainer is still in Jamaica.

Another source said the surrender warrant has been signed by the Jamaican authorities and all is in place for the entertainer to be taken to the US.

Busy Signal was arrested three weeks ago by members of the Fugitive Apprehension Team, after completing a European tour.

When he was taken to court on May 24, the artiste waived his right to an extradition hearing.

Luciano, known throughout the reggae music world as "The Messenger", announced to MIRF, via his manager/wife Sonia Sterling, that he will be unable to fulfill his obligations which are clearly outlined in his contract with MIRF. In her capacity as Luciano's manager, his wife relayed the news to MIRF using text and e-mail messages; and she confirmed the cancellation, saying, "[Another agent] went ahead and booked a show ... I had booked the Montreal show for Luciano first...[I am]waiting to sort it out." Sterling, who liaised with MIRF in booking Luciano for this year's performance sent a final message saying, "Spoke to Lucie... but he is going to do [the other show] since he will be in that area ... I am really sorry." She said the "double booking" occurred without her knowledge.

Despite the contract between Luciano and MIRF being finalized ahead of the other booking - with MIRF meeting all its contractual obligations, Luciano made the decision not to perform at MIRF in August, according to Sterling

Artiste added to lineup for concert in New York

Diana King confirms that she is LESBIAN

diana-king.jpg

All who say "SWEET JAMAICA", (like) this or retweet it.

Let them know you are taking note

Listen for new music and look out for di fry yiy Ravin King coming to a city near you... big up di fans worldwide.

Happy Fathers Day!

A 38-year-old man - who is said to be HIV positive - from Nannyville Gardens, Kingston 3, is now in police custody after being charged for raping the 16-year-old school friend of his daughter.

Montreal, June 4, 2012:

The Montreal International Reggae Festival (MIRF) is regrettably notifying all media and public that contrary to the previously distributed and advertised roster of performers for the Sunday, August 19, 2012 staging of the festival, Luciano, who was born, Jepther W. McClymont, will not be appearing.
