AMP (Art of Music Productions), the new entity which has taken over from TurnKey Productions, managed to bring out everybody and had a packed house at the Wyndham, including government ministers, corporate sponsors, the media, the entertainment fraternity and a host of well-wishers. Minister of Tourism, Ed Bartlett was quite upbeat about plans for next year's festival, which will see international artiste, Celine Dion as the headliner on Friday night. Other confirmed international acts include Cee Lo Greene, the Temptations and Shaggy. With the Jamaica Tourist Board on board again as one of the headline sponsors, the minister has a vested interest in the success of the event and was bursting with confidence that the festival will bring in the visitors in droves. It was announced that the hoteliers have already indicated their pleasure at the bookings and it is anticipated that the Trelawny Stadium will witness a crowd never seen before when the 2012 Jazz & Blues Festival unfolds January 26-28.
