Fifty pounds of cocaine valued at $48 million was found on Wednesday at Berth Nine, Port Bustamante.
It was discovered on a vessel which arrived from Guyana.
According to a statement from Jamaica Customs, its Contraband Enforcement Team and officers from the Jamaica Constabulary Force searched a 40 foot refrigerated container which was declared as being empty.
However, five boxes labelled Coke, Pepsi and Canada Dry with a white powdery substance resembling cocaine were found inside.
It was removed and taken to the Trans-National Crime and Narcotics Division where it was tested and weighed.
No arrest was made in connection with the seizure.
