DAVOS/SWITZERLAND, 26JAN06 - FR: Angelina Joli...

Angelina Jolie is clearing up all the rumors. "I'm not pregnant. I'm not adopting at the moment." Also, there's no "secret wedding" to life partner Brad Pitt.
Basically, the most interesting thing going on with Brangelina is that she got the flu.
"I had to be quarantined from the children for two days," Jolie tells Vanity Fair's October issue. "I was in the attic of a house in France. I was isolated, pacing.
Angelina is totally one of those people that nonchalantly throws out places she's been just to sound cool. I was eating this sandwich...it was somewhere off the coast of Greece...anyway, it was a really good sandwich.
Jolie will have her directorial debut with In the Land of Blood and Honey, which she wrote during that flu to avoid going stir-crazy in the house. Oh, the house was in France, by the way.
But the fact that Angelina wrote this while she was sick is freaking amazing. When I'm sick, that basically means I'm going to be catching up on Maury. Angelina Jolie spits out a screenplay.
"I don't watch TV and I wasn't reading anything. So I started writing. I went from the beginning to the end. I didn't know any other way."
Brad then took a look over the script and told her, "You know, honey, it's not that bad."
Pitt's been "so supportive" throughout Jolie's project, giving her feedback and helping her make decisions.
"Like any woman, I would listen to most of it and fight a few things," she says. "It's hard to separate the person that loves you from the critic, so I don't think he's a fair judge."
Before Jolie began shooting the flick, she sent the script to "reporters and writers, people of Serbian and Bosnian nationality who'd been through the war. I was gauging the accuracy.... If they said no, I wouldn't have done it."
She also added that she used unknown actors from the region: It couldn't be anybody else. It's their story. It was important that they were willing to do it. If none of them were willing, I wouldn't have made it."
So basically, everyone had to love this project, or she wasn't going to make it. The movie was shot last October in Eastern Europe and focuses on a young Serbian man who falls in love with a Bosnian-Muslim woman. They're torn apart by the ethnic war of 1992. I'm thinking it's not a rom-com.
"The film is about the experience that a lot of different people, on all different sides, have as war takes its toll," Jolie said.
In the Land of Blood and Honey is set to release in December.

A cashier was murdered during a robbery at a supermarket in St. Elizabeth last night.

This is no joke, and in fact, Lena British herself could not be more serious. Dancehall's best loved style diva and entrepreneur is now flexing with the big boys as she puts on her producer's hat and gets busy in the studio.
Although some might be tempted to view Lena as a dancehall socialite, under all that glamour lies a sharp business acumen, which has seen her running a successful hair salon and other ventures. Now, with her foray into music production she combines two of her loves - business and music.
Lena British, however, is no stranger to the ins and outs of reggae/dancehall music, having been involved at various levels, whether as stylist, designer,  model or promoter. Her newest venture will see her being totally involved in creating music from start to finish.
"I have always had an ear for good music," Lena explained, adding  that over the years she has developed a keen sense of what can work and what can't.
She is being ably assisted into this production venture by producer, Jam 2, who has long admired Lena's professionalism in the dancehall. It is that same level of professionalism which Lena British brings to this project. Having listened to a number of riddims from Jam 2, Lena has selected one which she is confident is the most workable. She has named it the Priceless Signature Riddim.
"It's a top-a-top riddim with only top-a-top artistes," is how Lena describes her project.
She, however, denied to name out the artistes on the riddim, as she says, that will spoil the surprise.
"But it's all good," she assured. "Positive, uplifting lyrics and to match a riddim with a lot of swag .... It's Priceless," she emphasized.
There is no end to the mystery that is Lena British. When asked if music production was a dream come true for her, without blinking or missing a beat, she said calmly, "No ... it's not. Having a baby would be a dream come true."
The Priceless Signature riddim is set to debut in the next few weeks.

Beyonce Knowles Singer Beyonce arrives at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards at Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE on August 28, 2011 in Los Angeles, California.
Beyonce Knowles is pregnant.
The Run the World (Girls) singer arrived at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) on Sunday in a loose fitting orange dress, and clutched her visible baby bump as she posed on the red carpet.
She told the press: "I have a surprise!"
Beyoncé's publicist later confirmed the news, telling People.com: "I'm happy to say it's true."
The child will be the first for the 29-year-old and her husband, rapper Jay-Z, who married in 2008.
During the VMAs, Beyoncé first cheered on Jay from the side of the stage as he performed new single Otis with Kanye West, then wowed the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles herself, singing Love on Top.
She told the crowd: "I want you to feel the love that's growing inside of me."
As she sang, Beyoncé proudly rubbed her bump, and the cameras panned over to Jay-Z, who had a huge grin on his face. The performance was met with a standing ovation.
Beyoncé has recently hinted she was thinking of settling down, saying earlier this month how she was hoping to "dedicate herself" to having children.
She said: "When you're young - 18 or 19 - you have the energy and drive. That's the time to work as hard as you can.
"Now I'm a woman, and because I gave it my all, I can focus on my marriage. I can decide I want to have kids. I can be the mother I want to be and dedicate myself to my children."

FORGIVE
I forgive and live in peace.

My words may not always be kind or compassionate, and at times, I may feel hurt by the words of others. In these instances, I take responsibility for my words and reactions. I participate in gentle conversations by explaining what I heard and sharing my feelings. I am a loving child of God, and through my willingness to hear others objectively, I open the door for clear, compassionate communication.

I rid my own heart of negativity by speaking my truth with love, and listening with love as well. When someone seeks pardon, I forgive and live in peace. Through this loving exchange, we connect heart to heart. Our communication is Spirit-led and any misconceptions are lifted to a higher level of spiritual understanding.

If there is repentance, you must forgive.--Luke 17:3

VP Records and Warner Music Nashville  will release 'Reggae's Gone Country' on August 30, a seamless musical dialogue between Kingston and Nashville that connects the roots of both genres. The ground-breaking compilation features classic country hits covered by Jamaica's top musicians  (Beres Hammond, Tarrus Riley, Tessanne Chin, Etana, Luciano, Sly & Robbie) as well as supporting vocals provided by original recording artist and country icon Larry Gatlin of The Gatlin Brothers.
Country music devotee Cristy Barber, Vice President of Marketing and Promotions at VP Records, the world's largest reggae label, and a Grammy nominated producer for the 2003 dancehall reggae-hip hop compilation album Def Jamaica, envisioned this project two years ago and teamed up on lead production with John Rich of the multi-platinum selling country duo Big & Rich and the winner of this year's Celebrity Apprentice, and the acclaimed Jamaican saxophonist and top reggae producer Dean Fraser.
"Reggae's Gone Country is taking some of Jamaican's favorite classic American country songs and putting their beats and whole instrumentation around it while still having that root of country... It is this crazy cool idea," says John Rich.
The majority of the album was recorded at Kingston's Grafton and the Marley owned Tuff Gong Studios. The tracks were mixed by Errol and Shane Brown, then sent to Nashville where they were embellished with country instrumentation by legendary pedal steel player Mike Johnson and Jonathan Yudkin on fiddle/ banjo with John Rich overseeing the production at Fireside Studios, formerly owned by the late country legend Porter Wagoner.
Barber hopes that the heartfelt renditions of country classics heard on 'Reggae's Gone Country' will introduce and educate music fans everywhere to the talent that exists in Jamaica.
Track Listing:
1. California - Romain Virgo & Larry Gatlin
2. He'll Have To Go - Luciano
3. Wolverton Mountain - Richie Stephens
4. Crazy - Etana

"I Austin 'PayDay' Green was the middleman / voice of reasoning between Bounty Killer & Movado after the tragic incident occurred. I spent weeks trying to fix communication between the two artist since it was one big family of us.
Though my sincere efforts to qualm the brewing feud and provide closure and justice to what transpired my efforts weren't successful as more lyrical insults came and I was subject to it as well.
I would like to make it known that there are many unscrupulous characters who have silently escalated the feud but I believe in God and he isn't asleep. Also the hypocrites who have been speaking to issue and isn't fully informed, should just stop calling and pinging because at the end of it all people have feelings.
(In reference to Iyara and Bounty's lyrical retaliation to Chase Cross Insults comments received).
Our focus and energy as a group should be directed in bringing the culprit to justice, assisting the family to find closure and moving together as unit.

DAEGU, South Korea (AP)--Usain Bolt again did the unbelievable when it mattered most in the 100 meters.
This time, no gold medal or world record, but a false start and straight elimination from the world championships in a race he has regally reigned over for three years.
In a stunning few seconds, Bolt's showboating turned into real-life despair when he jumped the gun and was led away from the track before Jamaican teammate Yohan Blake won gold ahead of American rival Walter Dix.
"Looking for tears?" Bolt asked as a small group of reporters followed him around. "Not going to happen."
Bolt was in no mood to talk, and instead of wide smiles, he snapped at anyone who tried to ask him about the disqualification.
While everyone had been wondering what Bolt would do to his world record of 9.58 seconds, it was Blake who won his first 100 title with a slow time of 9.92, the only racer to break 10 seconds in the final.
Dix took silver in 10.08 and Kim Collins of Saint Kitts and Nevis was third in 10.09.
"I didn't really think they were going to kick him out," Dix said. "How can you kick Usain out of the race?"
Another person who knows that feeling is double-amputee sprinter Oscar Pistorius. The South African was kept from competing by the IAAF until the Court of Arbitration for Sport overturned the ruling shortly before the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
On Sunday, he bounced on his carbon-fiber blades, ran past several able-bodied runners and qualified for the semifinals of the 400 in a historic breakthrough for Paralympic athletes.
Like always, though, Bolt found a way to capture all the attention. And for once in his golden career, he was not play-acting.
Instead of beating the clock, he beat the starting gun.
Three steps into in his race after the gun blasted, Bolt's face turned into a primal scream. And in one instinctive move he started pulling off his Jamaica shirt, needing no one to tell him he had made the biggest error in his career.
He was shown the red card and led to the sideline.
"I was so surprised because we have been talking about that in training and now it happens," Blake said.
After the second gun signaled the false start, Bolt gritted his teeth in self disgust and threw up his arms in desperation. Hands over his head, he walked away before slamming the blue stadium wall.
All dreams of a third golden triple in as many major championships were gone, and he had no one to blame but himself. One year ahead of the London Olympics, the world championships showed him as human instead of an infallible sporting superstar.

JOY
I clap my hands and sing with joy.

I am a living example of joy. I clap my hands when I am happy. I sing loudly to rejoice. I dance with enthusiasm. I laugh until I cry. I live in the full joy and presence of Spirit, and my life is filled with joy.

I see, hear, touch and taste the blessings of my world. I see a child's delight in play. I hear the coo and gurgle of a happy baby. I touch the hand of a loved one. I taste a delicious meal and am satisfied. There is joy to behold in all aspects of the world around me and within me.

I think about the things that make me joyful --and I bring more of them into my life. I make joy a daily habit, for it comes from deep within me.

Clap your hands, all you peoples; shout to God with loud songs of joy. --Psalm 47:1

Tuning in to Spirit, I become aware of a new way of being, a new point of view. In Spirit, I see unlimited potential. There are many paths, and I am free to choose which route I will take.

A 29-year old man, who claims to be a sub contractor, will have to wait another three months to know if money seized from him will be returned.
Richard Julian James, who gave his address as being in Westmoreland and St. Catherine, had $261,000 taken from him after he failed to satisfy members of the St Elizabeth Police about how he came to be in possession of the money.
He was held with the money during a police operation along the Oxford Main Road in St. Elizabeth on Saturday, August 20.
Mr. James was driving a Toyota motor truck along the road when he was signalled to stop.
During a search of the vehicle, a large quantity of money was found hidden in a bag among several pieces of female clothing.
When questioned, Mr. James was unable to explain how he came to be in possession of the money.
He was then taken to the Black River Police Station where the money was seized under Section 78 of the Proceeds of Crime Act, while the police investigate the origin of the fund.
RJR News reports that under Section 78 of the Proceeds Of crime Act, Mr. James will have to wait at least three months before he will know if the money will be returned.
In the meantime the police suspect the money is linked to the illegal lottery scam.

Homicide detectives assigned to the St. Ann Police Division are said to be following strong leads into the killing of a couple in Discovery Bay St. Ann. They've been identified as businessman, Neville Hall, and his wife, Normalyn.
Both are believed to be in their fifties. The bodies of the couple were found, this morning, near a lake in the community of Lakeside.

She was also the co-ordinator for the Business and Workforce Development Unit at the College.

He says despite the pall of gloom, the school's administration decided to soldier on and continue with the planned interviews.

A US Federal Court on Wednesday morning denied former Tivoli Gardens strongman, Christopher "Dudus" Coke's motion to have the wiretap evidence against him excluded from his trial.
Coke, who was extradited to the United States in June, last year, is charged with conspiring to distribute marijuana and cocaine in that country, and conspiring to traffic in firearms.
The motion to have the wiretap evidence thrown out was filed on June 13  in the United States District Court in the Southern District of New York.
The move was aimed at suppressing the controversial wiretap evidence which assisted in Coke's arrest on gun and drug trafficking charges.
According to the Court's order, the Supreme Court in Jamaica issued a series of orders authorizing interception of Coke and his co-conspirators' cell phones in Jamaica,  beginning in 2004.
The court found however, that Coke fell short of establishing that the conduct of US or Jamaican officials had violated his due process rights.
Coke's trial is scheduled to begin on September 12.

Two men, who pleaded guilty to a conspiracy to smuggle nearly 5,000 pounds of marijuana from Jamaica to the United States, were sentenced in Massachusetts to time in a federal prison on Wednesday, August 24.
The seizure was considered a major international drug bust.
United States District Judge Louis Guirola gave Brian Parker 41 months and J. Boone Ferrie 31 months followed by five years of supervised release.
They were crew members on a sailboat which was intercepted on November 21 last year and searched.
Both men are from Massachusetts.
The boat captain, James Staveley-O'Carroll, was also scheduled to be sentenced on Wednesday but his hearing has been pushed back to September 30.
Court papers showed that Parker and Ferrie admitted that the vessel left Jacksonville, Florida, on November 7 for Jamaica, where a crew in two small boats gave them bags of marijuana.
However, two weeks later Federal agents boarded the sailboat and seized it.

ENERGIZED
I am energized and rejuvenated.

Each morning when I awake, I have the opportunity to start my day with prayer. Aware of my innate creative power, I am invigorated by Spirit within. I then move ahead empowered, choosing uplifting thoughts, positive statements and purposeful actions that reflect my greatest intentions.

If ever I feel sluggish or unmotivated, I pause and pray. A few minutes of communion with Spirit revives my vital energy and awakens my enthusiasm. In Spirit, I am confident, knowing that all things given to me will be accomplished, that all that is not understood will be revealed, and that all that is difficult will be made easy.

The God who has girded me with strength has opened wide my path. --2 Samuel 22:33

miss_nude_blackamerica.jpg
The Miss Black Nude Pageant is unapologetically the most eye-popping pageant on the planet. This one-week extravaganza is a classy, jaw-dropping parade of the most sensationally beautiful black women alive and it takes place in Jamaica from September 25 to October 3, 2011. The venue is the hypnotically lush paradise resort of Hedonism 11 in Negril, located on the secluded end of the town's seven mile white sand beach. The Miss Black Nude Pageant is broadcast on the HBO Real Sex series and this year's staging will bring together twelve of the sexiest chocolate ladies from across the United States competing for cash prizes and the coveted crown. The event is one of the most requested and repeated shows on the HBO channel. The girls typically come from all walks of life. Some are college students, others are exotic dancers and a few from this year's bevy of beauties work in the private sector. They all are as supremely talented as they are irresistibly beautiful, but only one lucky lady can glide away with the crown. Pageant director Delores Dickson pointed out that this year is the eighteenth renewal of the pageant, and she said that over the years, the delegates have benefitted from the competition to educate themselves and finance their college education. She noted that a recent delegate graduated from Howard University as an ophthalmologist and another qualified as a medical doctor and is now enjoying a productive career in immunology in the Washington DC area. During this sizzling week, the twelve luscious ladies of color from multiple American cities will compete in several categories of competition: evening wear, swimsuit, talent showcase, a Burlesque routine and the all-important nude showcase. Hollywood, a celebrity choreographer from the Washington DC area will work with the girls to perfect their routines and a panel of judges will determine the eventual winner on the night of Saturday October 1. "We are very excited to be back in beautiful Jamaica with our first-class show", Dickson beamed. When Dickson is not doing the pageant or engaged in one of her other entertainment enterprises, she spends time raising funds for cancer research. She created the Miss Black Nude pageant after watching the Miss America pageant one night, and she wanted to do a similarly classy event for women of color, but with a daring twist. Over the years, the pageant has built a devout following of loyalists who travel to witness this thriller every year. "The Miss Black Nude pageant is my pied piper" Dicky Rockingham, a New York fan confessed. "Every year I go with my girlfriend and her friends, and to say the event is mesmerizing, magical and mouthwatering is to put it mildly. I think each year the girls are plucked from the Garden of Eden", he drooled. Hundreds of pageant fans are expected to converge on Negril during pageant week, and guests can participate in a number of activities including fashion shows, pajama parties, body painting, toga parties, wet t-shirt contest and nude volley ball playoffs. Or one can simply daydream under the soul-warming rays of the tropical sun. Hedonism 11 is an adult all-inclusive playground for pleasure that nourishes the body, the mind, the spirit and the soul. For over thirty years, this trend-setting resort has shattered inhibitions, pushed the limits of human endurance and brought untold joys and fulfillment to hedonists from all corners of the globe. And all the rumors, legends and myths you've heard about Hedonism are all true!

WORLD PEACE
I enfold myself and all beings in peace.

The commandment to love "your neighbor as yourself" is a reminder to me that my "neighbor" is not only the person living next door. My neighbor is every living being in the world. Just as I want my life to be peaceful, I want the same for my neighbors everywhere.

I may not have the authority to sign peace treaties or the power to stop war, but I do have the power of prayer and of love. When I see images of troubled people or unfortunate events in the world, I send thoughts of love, peace, comfort and understanding to all involved. It is up to me to love, to envision peace, and to believe in the power of prayer. As I do these things, I am an agent of change, an agent of peace.

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart ... and your neighbor as yourself.--Luke 10:27

Iley Dread a true crowd pleaser

Webmin

By Ron James
After being absent from the Canadian entertainment for a few years, singer Colin Levy a.k.a. Iley Dread, is back and is fast reclaiming the fans that he has built up over the years by giving some sterling performances both here in Toronto, Canada and across the world.
His latest crowd-pleasing performance was at the Government Entertainment Complex in downtown Toronto on August 13, where he thrilled the more than 400 audiences in attendance. Backed by his own band the Kings of Kings band supported by his background vocalist, he performed several of the crowd favourites including "Picture on The Wall", and "Lovers Holiday".
But just as the audience was beginning to warm up to him and was really enjoying his performance, through no fault his own, his performance was cut short to make way for I-Octane who was the headline act.
The premature ending of his performance, which angered his fans, was no fault of his own, because the concert that was schedule to start at 11:00 pm, did not get underway until after 2:00 am, however his act was well received.
Prior to his appearance at the Government Entertainment Complex, Colin has been having a very busy schedule which started in the city of Ajax in June, this was followed by performances on the Jamaica Day Celebration, shows in Niagara Falls and also in Montreal where he performed at the Montreal International Reggae Festival, and event that is schedule to attract thousands of reggae lovers from near and far.
The future certainly seems bright for this singer/ songwriter who has launched the career of several up and coming singers in the city. A scheduled tour to Europe and South Africa in the not too distant future will be just the tonic needed to enhance his career and propel him on the world stage.

Real Steele is ready to party

Formerly known as Lady Steele, this up and coming dancehall artiste is defined by her lyrics and her swagger. So much so that a name change saw her being presented with the moniker, Real Steele.
She is the first to admit that when people hear the name they immediately think of her as a male artiste, and Steele, with an impish smile says she has no problem at all with that. One look at her and it is clear that Stephannie Abbygale Smith, aka Real Steele, is really all woman.
A past student of Yallahs High and Paul Bogle Vocational Institute - where she did Electrical Installation - this singjay has been steadily honing her craft for the past eight years. According to Steele, she has always had a passion for music, but felt it prudent to focus on her education first and equip herself with a skill before embarking on her musical journey.
It was in 2003 that she started singing on various sound systems in her hometown of Yallahs, St Thomas and from there she branched out into the studios of Kingston, where she was encouraged to write more lyrics. She admits that her first set of songs were "very rude", thus earning her the name Lady Steele, as she was seen an heir apparent for Lady Saw.
In 2006, Steele did her first recordings for Emerald Records, Too much War and I'm Still Gonna Love You and managed to get a break that same year. She was chosen to perform on Summer Hype at Goodyear Oval,  Mischief and Star Jam.
The singjay  has since made the link with various other producers, including Tenement Yard Records and Heel and Bread Productions. However, she is now signed to Heel and Bread, which, she declares is a positive move in her career.
Her most recent single on the Heel and Bread label is Let's Party, an uptempo, radio-friendly club banger which is getting modest airplay.

The chilling murder of VP Records A&R, Joel Chin at his house last week Tuesday has sent shock waves through the industry.
Joel was a friend to several persons and was loved by many - children and adults alike. Joel was one of those guys who was committed to his family, his work and the music. There was nothing Joel loved more than being in the studio working on a new production.
Joel was never glum; he was quick to smile and he was a good conversationalist. Joel was also a committed friend and an extremely proud father.
It is sad that a gunman's bullet has robbed his beloved baby girl of a doting father.
Our condolences to Joel's parents, his brothers and sister, his grandparents, uncles, his fiancée and his numerous friends and relatives who are left to mourn his loss.
May your soul rest in peace Joey. You will forever be missed.

Libyan rebels seize most of the capital

TRIPOLI, Libya (AP) -- Tanks opened fire at rebels trying to storm Moammar Gadhafi's main compound in Tripoli on Monday, although the whereabouts of the longtime Libyan leader remained unknown a day after a lightning advance by opposition fighters who poured into Tripoli capital with surprising ease.
The international community meanwhile called on the longtime leader to step down as euphoric residents celebrated in the Green Square, the symbolic heart of the Gadhafi regime. NATO promised to continue airstrikes until all pro-Gadhafi forces surrender or return to barracks.
Rebel spokesman Mohammed Abdel-Rahman, who was in Tripoli, cautioned that pockets of resistance remained and that as long as Gadhafi remains on the run the "danger is still there."
The clashes broke out early Monday at Gadhafi's longtime command center known as
Bab al-Aziziya early Monday when government tanks emerged from the complex and opened fire at rebels trying to get in, according to Abdel-Rahman and a neighbor. An AP reporter at the nearby Rixos Hotel where foreign journalists stay could hear gunfire and loud explosions from the direction of the complex.
Tripoli resident Moammar al-Warfali, whose family home is next to the compound, said there appeared to be only a few tanks belonging to the remaining Gadhafi forces that have not fled or surrendered.
"When I climb the stairs and look at it from the roof, I see nothing at Bab al-Aziziya," he said. "NATO has demolished it all and nothing remains."
The Rixos also remained under the control of Gadhafi forces, with two trucks loaded with anti-aircraft machine guns and pro-regime fighters and snipers posted behind trees. Rebels and Tripoli residents set up checkpoints elsewhere in the city.
The rebels' top diplomat in London, Mahmud Nacua, said clashes were continuing in Tripoli, but opposition forces controlled 95 percent of the city. He vowed Gadhafi would be found, saying "the fighters will turn over every stone to find him" and make sure he faced justice.
State TV broadcast bitter audio pleas by Gadhafi for Libyans to defend his regime. Opposition fighters captured his son and one-time heir apparent, Seif al-Islam, who along with his father faces charges of crimes against humanity at the International Criminal Court in the Netherlands. Another son was under house arrest.
"It's over, frizz-head," chanted hundreds of jubilant men and women massed in Green Square late Sunday, using a mocking nickname of the curly-haired Gadhafi. The revelers fired shots in the air, clapped and waved the rebels' tricolor flag. Some set fire to the green flag of Gadhafi's regime and shot holes in a poster with the leader's image.

NOURISH
Positive thoughts and actions nourish my body, soul and spirit.

Eating the proper food helps me stay healthy and maintain the energy I need to lead a dynamic and active life. Nutrition is the fuel of a healthy body.

An active and vibrant spiritual practice is also essential for healthy living. Prayer and meditation, creative expression and communion with others, gratitude and positive thinking--these activities fundamentally support my awareness of being at one with God. Positive and life-enhancing thoughts and actions sustain both my physical and spiritual health. Through divine life within me, I am nourished in body, soul and spirit.

The Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy your needs in parched places ... and you shall be like a watered garden ... whose waters never fail. --Isaiah 58:11

GUIDANCE
I have faith in the infinite wisdom of God.

Written by Hannah More Kohaus many years ago, "The Prayer of Faith" offers us this promise:

God is my help in every need; God does my every hunger feed; God walks beside me, guides my way Through every moment of the day. I now am wise, I now am true, Patient, kind and loving too; All things I am, can do, and be, Through Christ the Truth, that is in me. God is my health, I can't be sick; God is my strength, unfailing, quick; God is my all, I know no fear, Since God and Love and Truth are here.

In faith, I claim all that this prayer assures and trust in God's enduring wisdom.

Whatever you ask for in prayer with faith, you will receive.--Matthew 21:22

HEALING
Divine life is present in every cell of my body. I am whole.

When a health challenge arises in me or someone I care about, it is appropriate to seek the advice of health professionals. I also know the value of prayer--attuning my heart and mind to the presence of God within.

I affirm divine life in every cell of my body and wisdom and clarity for all nurses and doctors involved in my care. I give thanks in advance for my ability to listen carefully and to ask the right questions.

With a deep awareness of the omnipresence of God, I know that wholeness is intrinsic in all people. Grateful for this awareness, I relax, knowing that healing is taking place.

My child, be attentive to my words ... For they are life to those who find them, and healing to all their flesh. --Proverbs 4:20, 22

FAITH
My faith in God is strengthened day by day.

After a long walk, my muscles may ache, especially if I have recently been inactive. As I exercise more, my muscles are strengthened and a long walk becomes easier. My faith works in a similar way. Like a network of muscles, my faith is strengthened each time I put it into practice.

Today I strengthen my faith by reflecting on the many blessings I have received. I remember guidance in a time of doubt, abundance that sustained me, and love that comforted me. As I recall the many ways that God has provided exactly what I needed, I stop looking to a person or situation outside myself to provide for me. I trust the presence of God within as my true Source of good.

If you do not stand firm in faith, you shall not stand at all. --Isaiah 7:9

His album on Virgin Records, 'ART & LIFE' was certified Gold and won him an all important Grammy award for 'Reggae Album' of the Year in 2001. His international star power was further cemented when Janet Jackson, the Neptunes and Lil' Kim all turned up as guests on his 2002 album Tropical Storm. Cheaterville.com has extended an offer to Lindsay Lohan to endorse their anti-cheating website in the hopes that it will improve her image.
The Websites slogan is "Fight Infidelity: Post a Known Cheater Now!" which is supposed to blacklist all cheaters and promote fidelity in relationships.
The company is approaching Lindsay in the hopes that it might clean up her bad girl image. Lindsay hasn't been known as a "cheater," moreso for her "party behavior" and run-in's with the law, but who likes being cheated on? Nobody right? Hey, let's endorse not cheating, why not?
Well actually, Lindsay was the victim of infidelity. She claims her ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson cheated on her back in 2010. Lindsay was publicly outraged as she tweeted extensively about it saying, "Being cheated on does wonders to you. I'm doing this publicly because u&ur friends call [US magazine] People. So you win, you broke my heart. Now go away. I loved you."
She also vented, "And stop staying in the room below me, you've woken me and my mother up. Go to bed. Keep cheating - u win," Lohan tweeted.
Who better than to endorse Cheaterville.com that LiLo especially since their tagline is "don't go down without a fight!"
She's also being paid $25,000 for the endorsement. Part of Lindsay's contract is she must appear at one event and record a :30 second PSA about why Cheating is wrong.
Lindsay's already dabbled in PSA's with her parody eHarmony profile PSA, so this should be a no-brainer.
Cheaterville.com's CEO James A. McGibney writes in the offer, "I'm extending this offer not only because we are huge fans, but because we would like to help bring your image into a "better light."
He says Cheaterville.com "is an anti-cheating site designed to help people know what they are getting into when starting a new relationship. It's also used by millions of people who want to expose a known cheater to the world."

Transgender Woman and Gay Man Marry in Cuba

Webmin
No Comments
A transgender woman and a gay man married Saturday on the 85th birthday of Fidel Castro in a wedding described as the first of its kind for Cuba.
Reuters reports on the civil ceremony in Havana for Ignacio Estrada, a 31-year-old gay rights activist and dissident, and Wendy Iriepa, 37. Their union is not classified as a same-sex marriage, which is illegal in Cuba, because Iriepa underwent gender-reassignment surgery in 2007 in the first such operation sanctioned by the state.
"But the wedding, held on Fidel Castro's 85th birthday in what the couple had called a 'gift' to the former leader, was aimed at advancing homosexual rights in Cuba and tinged with politics as some of Cuba's best-known dissidents participated and U.S. diplomats attended in a public show of support," reports Reuters.
LGBT people once faced official discrimination in Cuba and were labeled as "counterrevolutionary," but last year, Castro recognized the injustice of the persecution. His niece, Mariela Castro, heads the National Sex Education Center, or Cenesex, which promotes gender reassignment surgery. Iriepa used to work at the center, but Mariela, the daughter of current Cuban President Raúl Castro, did not attend the ceremony on Saturday.

Hunting for Olint's millions

With the sentencing of David Smith, the mastermind behind the failed Ponzi scheme Olint, out of the way, United States prosecutors will now turn their focus on finding the money defrauded from thousands of persons.
But Jamaicans, including politicians who might have received payouts from Olint, will not be targeted.
"The judge (Mary Scriven) made it clear that the US will not go after persons across borders," attorney-at-law Professor David Rowe told The Sunday Gleaner.
Rowe - the US-based Jamaican attorney representing nine persons burnt by Olint - pointed to documents filed in court by prosecutors in which they made it clear that they would not be going after Olint investors who made a profit from the scheme.
"First, the United States simply does not possess sufficient evidence and business records of the defendant to identify all the investors who made a profit and calculate how much profit was received," the prosecutors said.
"Second, most, if not all, of the investors who made a profit reside outside the United States, and thus, are beyond the jurisdiction of this court," added the prosecutors.
They noted that going after persons outside the US would require applications using mutual legal assistance treaties and would have to be supported by sufficient admissible evidence to prove the claims. Instead, the prosecutors are going after assets which they believe Smith might have stashed away.
Already, the prosecutors have identified a house in Florida, which, they say, was purchased with a US$159,881 down payment traceable to Smith's wire-fraud proceeds.

Patrick Roberts to stand trial on gun charges

People's National Party (PNP) caretaker for West Central St. Andrew, Patrick Roberts, is to stand trial in November on gun related charges.
The trial date was set when Mr. Roberts appeared before the Corporate Area Criminal Court on Friday, August 12.
Mr. Roberts was charged last year after his licensed firearm was found in possession of a wanted suspect. The police reported that on January 20 last year, they seized two illegal firearms from a man who engaged them in a shootout on Dellamar Avenue off Waltham Park Road.
One of the weapons, a .38 Taurus Revolver, was later traced and found to be the property of Mr. Roberts. However, the PNP caretaker told investigators that he wasn't aware of the disappearance of the weapon.
Mr. Roberts is to stand trial, on November 2, on charges of causing the loss of his firearm through negligence, and failing to renew his licensed firearm.
He's also to stand trial in the Gun Court in September on a charge of illegal possession of firearm.

I choose to see from a higher viewpoint and gain perspective.

The view from the mountaintop does not reveal the busyness of life below. From up top, one sees only peace. Similarly, as I elevate my outlook, I see life from a grander perspective. The problems that once seemed large become small when I take a broader view.

Perhaps I have been caught up in the day-to-day drama of life. As I expand my view, I see that loving relationships, vibrant health, and conscious awareness of the presence of God are more important to me.

As I gain perspective, I am slower to judge and quicker to forgive. My mind is broadened and my heart is opened as I experience life from a higher vantage point.

Every valley shall be lifted up, and every mountain and hill be made low. --Isaiah 40:4

POTENTIAL
I am born anew with spiritual promise and potential.

We rejoice when a newborn enters the world. In awe, we see that radiant being for the first time, full of promise and potential. As children learn to talk and interact with the world, we love and nurture them. We encourage them as they reach each new developmental milestone.

Each human being is on a journey. As our bodies grow and mature, we also mature psychologically and spiritually. Our inner growth comes as we gain awareness of ourselves as spiritual beings. I grow spiritually as I become aware of the divine spark within. Regardless of my physical age, I awaken to my true potential as a powerful co-creator and grow into my full spiritual promise.

You have been born anew, not of perishable but of imperishable seed, through the living and enduring word of God.--1 Peter 1:23

London police raiding houses over UK riots

Webmin
No Comments
LONDON (AP) -- Police in London raided houses to round up more rioting suspects Thursday as Britain's big cities remained largely quiet after four days of rioting and looting that drew thousands of police officers onto the streets.
Prime Minister David Cameron issued a stern warning that order would be restored by whatever means necessary.
Deputy Assistant Commissioner Stephen Kavanagh said the raids to round up suspects began overnight, and more than 100 warrants would be executed. Police have already arrested almost 900 people in London since trouble began on Saturday, and 371 have been charged.
Hugh Orde, head of the Association of Chief Police Officers, said there would be "hundreds more people in custody" by the end of the day.
Tensions remained high even in the absence of any major incidents, and Cameron has recalled Parliament from its summer recess for an emergency debate on the riots later in the day. He will face questions about what caused the riots, and pressure to reconsider planned police budget cuts, which critics claim will strain an already overstretched force.
Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg said the "sociological debate" about the origins of the violence was for the future.
"Right now it's important that people are reassured that their streets are made safe, their homes are made safe and society is allowed to move on," Clegg told BBC radio.
Calm prevailed in London overnight, with a highly visible police presence watching over the capital. The London police said it would keep up the huge operation -- involving 16,000 officers -- for at least one more night.
There was a brief outbreak of trouble in Eltham, southeast London, where a group of largely white and middle-aged men who claimed to be defending their neighborhood pelted police with rocks and bottles. Police said the incident had been "dealt with" and a group was dispersed.
There were chaotic scenes at courthouses, several of which sat through the night to process scores of alleged looters and vandals, including an 11-year-old boy.

Jamaican sprinter Steve Mullings has tested positive for a masking agent, two weeks before the start of the IAAF World Championships in Athletics in Daegu, South Korea. Mullings now faces a minimum ban of four years and could be removed from the sport for life.
It is understood that the results of a test carried out by the Jamaica Anti-Doping Commission during the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA)/Supreme Ventures National Senior Championships, held between June 23 and 26 this year, showed the presence of the substance, which is meant to conceal the existence of banned substances or illegal drugs, such as anabolic steroids or stimulants.

David Smith to know his fate today

The former head of the collapsed Olint Investment Scheme is to know his fate in a few hours.
David Smith, who was the mastermind of the ponzi scheme that cheated an estimated US$220 million from thousands of Jamaicans and overseas investors, is to be sentenced at 10:00 a.m. in Orlando, Florida.
Smith, who pleaded guilty on March 28 to 23 counts of wire fraud, conspiracy to commit money laundering and money laundering, will hear how long he will spend behind bars.
The wire fraud counts each carry a maximum penalty of 20 years in federal prison, a fine of US$250,000 and a term of supervised release of not more than three years.
The money laundering counts carry a maximum penalty of 20 years behind bars plus a fine of US$500,000 or twice the value of the property involved in the transaction along with supervised release not exceeding three years.
It was reported earlier this week that prosecutors have asked the court to impose a sentence reflecting the seriousness of the charges.
They want the sentences on all 23 counts to run consecutively, so that Smith will remain in prison for a long time.
The former Olint boss pleaded guilty to fraud and conspiracy charges in the Turks and Caicos Islands last year and was sentenced to just over six years in prison there.
United States. authorities picked him up in November and took him to Orlando to face the federal charges.
Prosecutors say more than 6,000 persons invested in Smith's companies.

30 year sentence for David Smith

David Smith, the former head of the failed Olint Corporation, charged with defrauding investors out of more than U$200 million, was sentenced to 30 years in prison in Orlando's Federal Court Thursday morning, August 11.
After hearing three hours of victim testimony and legal arguments, Judge Mary Scriven handed down the sentence.
Smith pleaded guilty to 18 counts of money laundering, four counts of wire fraud and one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering.
He admitted to describing Olint as a private investment club where he would pool investors' money to engage in foreign currency trading on their collective behalf.
But prosecutors say it was a ponzi scheme in which Smith paid returns to investors from their own funds, or money paid by later investors, rather than from any real profit.
Prosecutors had claimed Smith financed a lavish lifestyle by transferring millions of dollars of investors' money to his personal bank accounts.
Smith was previously sentenced to just over six years in prison in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
Prosecutors say more than six thousand persons in Jamaica, Orange County Florida, the Turks and Caicos Islands and elsewhere invested in Smith's companies.

PRESENT MOMENT
Centered in the present moment, I claim my power.

When a question or worry is on my mind, I may be tempted to focus on troubles of the past or concerns for the future, but this attention would rob me of the power of the now moment. Instead, I stay present.

I quiet my mind and become fully aware of all this moment has to teach me. All the wisdom I need is here, now. My thoughts may drift to the past or future, but I needn't remain there. I can choose instead to immerse myself in the power of the present moment. It is here that I connect with divine wisdom.

Anchored in the here and now, I find the answers I seek. My decisions are wise and thoughtful, because I am grounded and centered. Right here and now, I claim my power.

See, now is the acceptable time; see, now is the day of salvation!--2 Corinthians 6:2

Negril: The Miss iBlack Nude Pageant is unapologetically the most eye-popping pageant on the planet.

I think each year the girls are plucked from the Garden of Eden", he drooled.

english: This is the american HBO brand logo. ...

Today I drop the illusion that I should look or act like someone else. Any admirable quality I see in others is already a part of me. My work today is to be my best self. I apply my wisdom to make healthy, peace-filled choices. With an open heart, I share my gifts of love. The 34-year-old rapper known for his outbursts was the headline act at the Big Chill music festival Saturday night, where he ranted in the middle of his set about being misunderstood and underappreciated. "I walk through the hotel and I walk down the street, and people look at me like I'm (expletive) insane, like I'm Hitler," he said. "One day the light will shine through and one day people will understand everything I ever did."
West received light boos from the crowd as a result.
The performer also defended the music video for his song "Monster," which features cannibalism and girls hanging from their necks.
"Who saw the video before it got banned, before they took it down and before women's groups starting saying that a person that lost the most important woman in his life is now against women in some way?" asked West, referring to the 2007 death of his mother Donda West.
West, who started his set roughly 30-minutes late, apologized to the crowd for his tardiness, saying he needed to make sure his performance was great.
The multiplatinum-seller is known for his outspokenness, most notably his diss toward Taylor Swift at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, where he grabbed the microphone from her as she accepted the award for best female video and said Beyonce should have won it. In 2005 he said "George Bush doesn't care about black people" during a Hurricane Katrina telethon.
At the music festival, West talked about some of his awards show drama, saying some of his sponsorships were canceled as a result.
But West closed his show on a positive note by paying tribute to Amy Winehouse.
West, who said he met the late singer a few years ago during Paris fashion week, played snippets of Winehouse's "Tears Dry On Their Own" and "Back to Black." He said it was "beautiful" to meet the performer and that she was "amazing."
Then, in Kanye fashion, he began to rant.
"Thank you for protecting your artists that are still here," he said to the crowd. "This is for McQueen, for Amy, for Michael and for all the media, can you lighten up on all your artists that are still here?" he asked, receiving a roaring cheer from the crowd and leaving the stage with his 3-man band and 20-something backup dancers.

United States prosecutors have asked the court to throw the book at former Olint boss David Smith when he is sentenced on Thursday.
Lawyers representing Smith, the mastermind behind the Ponzi scheme that bilked investors out of more than US$220 million, had written to the court pleading for leniency at the sentencing.
But in a response, the prosecutors asked the court to impose a sentence reflecting the seriousness of the charges and to have the sentences on all 23 run consecutively, so that Smith will remain in prison for a long time.
Smith is to be sentenced in the United States District Court in Orlando.
In March, Smith entered a guilty plea to 23 counts of wire fraud, conspiracy to commit money laundering, and money laundering. Last week, his lawyer, Oliver Smith, filed a motion in court seeking a "reasonable sentence" for the convicted money trader.
With Smith facing maximum jail time of 20 years on each count, the attorney urged the court to sentence him below the advisory guidelines.
But the prosecutors argued that if Smith was sentenced to only 20 years, the court would fail to respect the nature and seriousness of the crime, and would also fail to offer adequate deterrence to criminal conduct.
The prosecutors further argued that a 20-year sentence would show a disparity to persons who were found guilty of similar offences.
The prosecutors also filed a motion for the court to allow the state to seize property and cash totalling US$128 million from Smith.
The prosecutors identified a property in Florida purchased by Smith for US$159,881 and three accounts holding more than US$5 million, which they want to seize immediately while the search continues for any other asset he might own.

Stages Production's Two For One held over the weekend in Kingston and Montego Bay was a resounding success. Although advertised act, Beenie Man did not show up, it is fair to say that he was not missed, as the entertainment value was at its optimum and the over 3,000 people at Pier One were more than satisfied.
Pretty Boy Floyd was on hand to keep the crowd well entertained during intermission! And Beenie's wife, D'Angel also performed. Magna was a sponsor and they gave away gifts to patrons. Stages gave away seven book grants in Kingston and five in Montego Bay, all of them to GSAT awardees.
Knowing their creativity, it was expected that they would take a punch at Beenie Man. One line in the play they asked Shebada if him "think a Beenie man this him a play wid!"
From start to finish the night was hilarious. Shebado came out on stage during intermission while they played his new song 'Dash pon dem without warning'. During the song he ran on stage dancing and drove the crowd crazy.

FEARLESS
I am one with God. I am courageous and bold.

Love is stronger than fear, and I am filled with the love of God. I trust this extraordinary love to see me through any troubling situation. I am fearless and strong because I am one with God.

If I feel doubt or apprehension, I take a deep breath and turn within to examine my thoughts. My strength and courage grow as I deny fear-based thoughts their power. Love increases as fear diminishes.

God is my Source of peace and courage. I remember this promise: "I will never leave you or forsake you." With faith, I move boldly forward, envisioning myself surrounded by divine love, knowing that nothing can penetrate that shield.

Little children, you are from God, and have conquered them; for the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.--1 John 4:4

Following a one month closure the corridor was slated to be reopened today, but this has been delayed as the National Water Commission (NWC's) pipe laying project has not been completed.
The National Works Agency (NWA) says the setback was caused by rains which affected the project last weekend.
Stephen Shaw, the Communication and Customer Services Manager at the NWA, says weather permitting, the new target for opening will be met:
"A team from the agency along with members of the NWC's technical team went to the area yesterday (Wednesday, August 3) and the NWA determined that additional work is needed before we open the corridor to the public," he said.

UNITY
I am one in Spirit with all people.

Nearly 7 billion people live on this planet we call home. Vast distances of land and ocean separate us from one another. Our differences create a beautiful mosaic of appearances, beliefs, cultures and customs. Underneath, we are one in Spirit, members of the family of humankind.

We each have the spark of the Divine within that comprises our spirit and source of inspiration. We have mental and emotional qualities--thoughts, feelings and memories--that comprise our soul. And we are physical beings with bodies to care for and nourish. Today let us celebrate our unity--our sisterhood and brotherhood--by affirming: I am one in Spirit with all people.

How very good and pleasant it is when kindred live together in unity! --Psalm 133:1

Amy Winehouse in 2007.

Image via Wikipedia

We're finally starting to get new information about Amy Winehouse's last days and what may have led to her death. A "friend" of Amy's just came forward claiming he helped her buy £1,200 worth of drugs the night before she died.
Tony Azzopardi is scheduled to be interviewed by police after claiming he helped her buy drugs. He met Amy outside The Eagle bar, close to her home in Camden, North London, at around 11.30pm on Friday July 22, where she asked him to help her obtain some narcotics. That was the night before her death.
According to 56-year-old Tony, who has a history of drug and alcohol abuse, they took a taxi to nearby West Hampstead where he made a call, and shortly afterward someone they both knew arrived and sold Amy half an ounce each of crack cocaine and heroin.
Later she dropped him off at home, and Tony - who met the late star through her ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil - added: "She gave me a kiss on the cheek and that was it - the last time I saw her. She looked good, you know, fit - like she'd been clean for a while and filled out a bit. I couldn't believe it when I found out she was gone."
Of course she met him through Blake. Makes perfect sense. Amy had previously said that her entire marriage to Blake consisted of them getting high.
Just last week Amy's father Mitch said that Amy had been drug free for three years and had recently quit drinking, but it's pretty obvious that wasn't the case.
Amy's hair stylist Alex Foden even confirmed that Amy was back on drugs. He was worried she would die a few weeks before she passed, after her horrible performance in Serbia, which led to the cancellation of a planned European tour.
He told BBC Radio 5 Live: "The two weeks leading up to it [her death], I was talking about it a lot. Just because of the Belgrade gig, it was just so obvious. I'd never seen Amy on that level, I burst out crying because I know how hard it is."
Back to Tony. He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I want Amy's family to know the truth about what happened. I want to help them out - but I'm worried about my safety."
Amy's toxicology reports should be in within the next week, which will hopefully give the family and her fans some closure on her death

GEORGETOWN, Guyana (AP) -- Flight 523 from New York had just touched down and passengers were applauding the pilot's landing in the South American country Saturday when something suddenly went wrong.
The Boeing 737-800 slid off the end of a rainy runway, crashed through a chain-link fence and broke in half just short of a deep ravine. Yet all 163 people on board survived.
Officials were starting to probe the cause of the crash even as they marveled at the lack of fatalities.
"We must be the luckiest country and luckiest set of people in the world to escape so lightly," said Health Minister Leslie Ramsammy, who said more than 30 people were taken to the hospital. Only three of those had to be admitted for a broken leg, bumps, cuts and bruises.
The Caribbean Airlines plane had left John F. Kennedy International Airport Friday evening and made a stop in Trinidad before landing in Guyana. The airline said it was carrying 157 passengers and six crew members.
Geeta Ramsingh, 41, of Philadelphia, recalled how applause at the arrival quickly "turned to screams."
"The plane sped up as if attempting to take off again. It is then that I smelled gas in the cabin and people started to shout and holler," she said.
When the plane crumpled to a stop, Ramsingh said she hopped onto the wing and then onto the dirt road outside the runway fence.
"A fellow who was trying to escape as well mistakenly jumped on my back and that is why my knees are bruised," she said. "So I am in pain, but very thankful to be alive."
Nobody had yet showed up to rescue her, "but a taxi driver appeared from nowhere and charged me $20 to take me to the terminal. I had to pay, but in times of emergencies, you don't charge people for a ride," she said, sitting on a chair in the arrival area surrounded by relatives. She was returning to her native country for only the second time in 30 years.
Adis Cambridge, 42, of Guyana, said she felt the thump of a hard landing but did not think much of it until seconds later.
"I realized that everything was on top of me, people and bags. I was the second to last person to get off that plane in the dark," she said, surrounded by her two young children who had come to the airport to meet her after a brief holiday in the U.S.
"I hit my head on the roof. It was so scary," she said, and described jumping from the wing to the dirt road below as crews with flashlights and beams from fire engines searched for passengers.
"I thought I would have died. I just started to cry," she said.
The plane came to rest off the end of the 7,400-foot (2,200-meter) runway at Cheddi Jagan International Airport, which sits on a ridge in forested region just south of the oceanfront capital of nearly 300,000 people.
Authorities struggled at first to remove passengers without adequate field lights and other emergency equipment.
The plane stopped a little short of a 200-foot (60-meter) ravine that could have resulted in dozens of fatalities, said President Bharrat Jagdeo.
"We are very, very grateful that more people were not injured," said Jagdeo, who came to the crash site before dawn.
George Nicholas, Caribbean Airlines chairman, told reporters that officials with the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board are scheduled to arrive Sunday in Guyana to take over the investigation. He said investigators from Guyana and Trinidad, the airline's base, will help.
The crash of Flight 523 is the worst in recent history in Guyana, and only one of the few serious incidents involving the Trinidad-based airline. It is the single largest carrier in the region, operating at least five daily flights.

American investigators are due in Guyana today, to start investigations into Saturday's Caribbean Airlines crash at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport.
The investigators are expected to remove the plane's black box and data voice recorder.
The probe is being spearheaded by the Guyana Civil Aviation Authority, and will include personnel from the US National Transport Safety Board.
Caribbean Airlines said it would refrain from offering any further explanation as to what may have caused the crash and would await the outcome of the investigations.
Meanwhile, the airline's Head of Corporate Communications, Laura Asbjornsen, says passengers may have to wait a bit longer for their baggage, as the authorities have to secure the aircraft before retrieving luggage.
She said the process of retrieving items from the aircraft is complex, as each baggage has to be logged, tagged, and stored in clear bags.
Mrs Asbjornsen said passengers are being compensated for the delays.
Caribbean Airlines BW523, en route from Port of Spain, Trinidad, to Georgetown, Guyana, crashed approximately 1:32 Saturday morning.        The plane broke in two, however, the 157 passengers and 6 crew members on board survived.
Prime Minister Bruce Golding has expressed deep regret at the Caribbean Airlines crash.
In a statement sent to Bharrat Jadgeo, Guyana's President and Trinidad's Prime Minister, Kamla Persad Bissessar - Mr Golding said his immediate concern was for the welfare of the passengers and crew particularly those who suffered injuries.

Kingston and Falmouth. Kartel's Cake Soap, branded as an "acne cleansing"product sold off various batches of the product within its first few days on the market. Additionally, Kartel is reportedly still planning to debut his own rum line; months after his successful Street Vybz Rum brand was effectively discontinued following the severance of ties with former business partner and American businessman, Corey Todd.

Kartel is currently shooting episodes for his upcoming reality show,Teacha's Pet to debut on CVM TV next month and has also released new singles within the last two weeks such as "Dedication" and "Love You Enuh" on Sounique Records' Lost Angel Riddim.

I am free and unlimited.

From time to time, I may find that I've fallen into a rut--driving the same route to work, eating the same thing for lunch, participating in the same activities day after day. Tuning in to Spirit, I become aware of a new way of being, a new point of view. In Spirit, I see unlimited potential. There are many paths, and I am free to choose which route I will take.

Perhaps I will try a new recipe. I might take a class or explore a new hobby; take the scenic route to work or read poetry instead of fiction. Each day I open my heart and mind to creative options that reveal the surprise and mystery of life. I am free and unlimited. The entire world is open to me.

The police theorise that the husband and wife were killed at their home and their bodies taken away from the scene. Mr. Hall, was employed as a trucker to a St. Ann bauxite company,    while his wife is Senior Lecturer in the Business Hospitality Department at Browns Town Community College.
She was also the co-ordinator for the Business and Workforce Development Unit at the College.
Police sources say a sports utility vehicle owned by Mrs. Hall is also  missing. Investigators also seized a toy gun that was reportedly in the couple's yard.
Meanwhile, the Browns Town Community College has been left devastated, following news of Mrs Hall's death.
Principal, James Walsh, says Mrs. Hall had been teaching at the institution for more than ten years.
Mrs. Hall's passing unfortunately coincided with the opening day for interviews for new students.
He says despite the pall of gloom, the school's administration decided to soldier on and continue with the planned interviews.

West face of the United States Supreme Court b...

GUIDANCE
I have faith in the infinite wisdom of God.

Written by Hannah More Kohaus many years ago, "The Prayer of Faith" offers us this promise:

The official presentation will take place at the inaugural Reggae Rhythm & Blues Concert slated for Roy Wilkins Park in Queens, New York on Labor Day Sunday, September 4, 2011.
"Beenie Man has an impressive catalogue of timeless hit songs. He is a celebrated dancehall recorder, a seasoned performer and is worth of this very important United States recognition," Clarke said.
Beenie Man (aka Moses Davis), who was born in Waterhouse, Jamaica started his career as a youngster. He garnered his first real break on the international scene in 1997 with the hit single "Who Am I" that was a staple on Hot 97 radio in New York and earned multiple spins on urban stations across the USA. The single quickly went Gold and opened the door for Beenie Man to grace the pages of Newsweek and other major media outlets. He has since released a number of big hits in Jamaica and delivered many stellar performances including a crowning performance at Sumfest 2010.
Joining the Doctor Beenie Man on stage at Reggae Rhythm & Blues will be Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds, the successful R&B, pop singer, songwriter, keyboardist, record producer, film producer and entrepreneur who has written and produced songs for some of the biggest names in contemporary music, including Toni Braxton, Boyz II Men, Whitney Houston and TLC.

Webmin

I think each year the girls are plucked from the Garden of Eden", he drooled.

english: This is the american HBO brand logo. ...
