Reggae Sumfest 2018

After a source came forward claiming that Amber Rose sent extremely explicit photos of herself to Nicki Minaj's boyfriend, the singer is shooting down the claims, Tweeting:

"These blogs do nothing but try to ruin ppls lives I DID NOT send pics to anyones boyfriend pls stop with the lies. Its so ridiculous. Smh. Yall been doing this to me for 3 years now it shld be illegal to write fake stories about ppl the media never wants to see anyone happy."

When Rose isn't busy shooting down ridiculous rumors, she's working on a variety of projects.

"I'm a busy girl," Amber told Hollyscoop at Karma Foundation's 6th Annual Kandyland Event at the Playboy Mansion.

"I just did one movie, I'm working on my second movie now. I have a radio show on The Foxxhole SiriusXM, which is Jamie Foxx's network. I have my own reality show coming out that I'm shooting right now and also a makeup line and a few other things I can't even think off the top, but yeah, I'm really, really busy. I'm working on a lot."

Rose also discussed her relationship with rapper Wiz Khalifa. B

"I'm four years older than my boyfriend and people like to call me a cougar. I mean, you know, whoever makes you happy-that's all that matters. Age is only a number, it's not a big deal for me."

With only a four-year age gap, I don't know if Rose is considered a cougar. But either way, she's not letting rumors get in the way of her relationship or career.

An Inspector of police accused of masterminding the theft of cocaine from a drug trafficker, was released on bail when he appeared in the May Pen Criminal Court Thursday morning, June 30.

He is 50-year old Marlon Taylor, who was attached to the Clarendon police division.

Inspector Taylor was offered $850,000 bail when he appeared in court on charges of larceny and attempting to pervert the course of justice.

Investigators reported that in September 2008, Inspector Taylor instructed two police constables to intercept a motor car, which was travelling from Manchester to Clarendon.

The cops followed the instruction and stopped the vehicle.

The two constables have not been charged.

Inspector Taylor, who is represented by attorney Peter Champagnie, is to return to court on November 9.

Travelers through the toll network will have to pay more come July 9, after Cabinet this week gave approval for an increase in the toll rate.

The Ministry of Transport had earlier published the proposed increases.

NO REGRETS
I love the life I live now.

To live without regrets requires the discipline of awareness, the compassion to forgive and the courage to change. I am aware of my true nature--that I am a spiritual being, loved and guided by the Divine Infinite. Anytime I feel I have failed to be my best self, I remember that I am learning to live and love at the highest level of my soul's wisdom. I ask Spirit to reveal what I might change to move closer to being my best self. I then ask for the courage to make that change.

Knowing I am doing my best, I have compassion for myself. As I learn to forgive myself, I find it easier to forgive others. I am at peace with the path that has brought me to this place of understanding. I have no regrets, and I love the life I live now.

For once you were darkness, but now in the Lord you are light. Live as children of light.--Ephesians 5:8

The Jamaica Civil Aviation Authority (JCAA) says no investigation will be launched from Jamaica regarding Sunday's scare aboard a Caribbean Airlines flight, as the incident did not occur in Jamaican airspace.

The plane which was en route from Jamaica to Barbados threw the 150 passengers into a panic when it experienced cabin pressure failure.

A traumatised passenger, who is quoted in Monday's issue of the Barbados newspaper the Daily Nation, said there was total despair among the travellers when oxygen masks dropped followed by a loud bang.

However, Lieutenant Colonel Oscar Derby, the Director General of the JCAA, says the precautionary measure taken by the airline's crew was normal.

"The precautionary measure is to deploy the oxygen system and to do an emergency decent to an altitude where safe breathing level oxygen is available. They landed in Barbados, disembarked the passengers and the aircraft was ferried to Trinidad for maintenance.

Through the power of my Christ nature, I awaken to a new life.

Every time I pray--every time I have a realization of the Christ power within me--I awaken to my spiritual nature. As I let the light of Christ shine within my consciousness, I release old ways of living, and open to a new life, a new way of being.

Early Christians told the story of Lazarus, who appeared to be dead to everyone except Jesus, who called him from the tomb. My Christ nature can transcend any appearance or condition and allow me to awaken into a new life of oneness and wholeness, of harmony and abundance, of understanding and peace.

By turning to the Christ presence within me, I awaken my spirit. I hear my Christ nature calling me, and I awaken to a new life.

Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep, but I am going there to awaken him.--John 11:11

I affirm right and perfect outcomes for all.

When I want to support others, I cannot help them if I am saddled with worry, doubt or fear. Instead of letting my heart become burdened, I open my heart to divine love. I affirm the right and perfect outcomes and focus on the unfolding of their highest good. I remove my limited self and allow Spirit to enter.

In the sacred silence, centered in divine love, I pray that grace, wisdom and strength will infuse and enfold them. I set aside the problem at hand and invite the manifestation of a solution. If they are ill, I see them healed. If they are in distress, I see them comforted. God is at work in and through me as I uphold others in prayer.

Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, just as it is well with your soul.--3 John 1:2

New York legalizes gay marriage

Webmin
No Comments

ALBANY, N.Y. - After days of contentious negotiations and last-minute reversals by two Republican senators, New York became the sixth and largest state in the country to legalize gay marriage, breathing life into the national gay rights movement that had stalled over a nearly identical bill here two years ago.

Pending any court challenges, legal gay marriages can begin in New York by late July after Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed his bill into law just before midnight Friday.

At New York City's Stonewall Inn, the Greenwich Village pub that spawned the gay rights movement on a June night in 1969, Scott Redstone watched New York sign the historic same-sex marriage law with his partner of 29 years, and popped the question.

"I said, `Will you marry me?' And he said, `Of course!'" Redstone said he and Steven Knittweis walked home to pop open a bottle of champagne.

New York becomes the sixth state where gay couples can wed, doubling the number of Americans living in a state with legal gay marriage.

"That's certainly going to have a ripple effect across the nation," said Ross Levi, executive director of the Empire State Pride Agenda. "It's truly a historic night for love, our families, and democracy won."

"We made a powerful statement," Cuomo said. "This state is at its finest when it is a beacon of social justice."

The leading opponent, Democratic Sen. Ruben Diaz, was given only a few minutes to state his case during the Senate debate.

"God, not Albany settled the issue of marriage a long time ago," said Diaz, a Bronx minister. "I'm sorry you are trying to take away my right to speak," he said. "Why are you ashamed of what I have to say?"

The Catholic Bishops of New York said the law alters "radically and forever humanity's historic understanding of marriage."

"We always treat our homosexual brothers and sisters with respect, dignity and love," the bishops stated Friday, "We worry that both marriage and the family will be undermined by this tragic presumption of government in passing this legislation that attempts to redefine these cornerstones of civilization."

According to a report carried on RJR News, there seems to be a shortage of brown sugar.

Consumers, mostly in rural Jamaica, say they have been unable to access the product or have been getting little supply.

Checks with Jamaica Cane Product Sales revealed that there has been a limited supply of the sweetener.

General Manager, Karl James, explained to told RJR News, the reasons for the low supplies:

"Normally we would be supplying all of the requirements from the  production of the factories...but the rains that we had in the middle of June locked down all the factories that were producing. We had arranged to get supplies from overseas and they started coming in but then we have had cancellations of one of the vessels that should have taken in a fair amount here last week so the supply is not at the level its supposed to be. We still have a fair amount of sugar  week  and we are expecting to get some more coming in next week" said Mr James.

Buju Banton performing at New York's Apollo th...

Image via Wikipedia

Members of the music fraternity have been reacting to the 10 year sentence handed down to Buju Banton on Thursday morning.

Gramps Morgan of Morgan Heritage fame who was at Thursday's hearing said the sentence although not the maximum penalty, will be challenging for the artiste.

"The Lord was kind because it could have been worse, it could have been up to 25 years. It's still rough for any man to be away from their children for 10 years," he said.

And fellow artiste, Tony Rebel says the sentence should not be seen as the end for the reggae star's career.

"It doesn't have to be a setback, you can use all the setbacks and go forward. He has enough time to meditate, reflect and to put things into perspective and he can always chart a path to the future,"

"Prison doesn't have to be a setback, remember our first national hero went to prison; Mandela left from prison and became president, Malcom X, Martin Luther King a lot of great people went to prison. Prison was not made for dogs, nor rabbits nor cats it was for humans, so it's just for you to turn a negative into a positive and I hope he can do that," he said.

In the meantime, Senior Lecturer of Reggae Studies at the University of the West Indies, Mona, Dr. Donna Hope-Marquis says although Buju Banton's absence from the music scene will be a big blow to the industry, she hopes he can rise above this major setback.

"I believe that this is a really significant blow to the reggae and dancehall industries because Buju Banton has been an icon of both reggae and dancehall and has really held the flag high and for him to be convicted of drug related offences which means that the Jamaican music industry will have another kind of light shining on it, a negative light. I am really saddened at what happened to the Gargamel I can only hope and I know that he will use this leg of his journey to produce music," Dr. Hope-Marquis said.

Now You See Me Now you Don't - Daniel Bedingfield vs Ovamarz by DanielBedingfld

New Zealand-born British singer-songwriter, Daniel Bedingfield, is in Jamaica making music.

The singer recently teamed up with dancer/singer, Ovamarz for a remix of Marz' hugely popular single, Now You See Me, Now You Don't, which is blazing up Richie B's Jamaica Countdown Chart.

In a recent interview, Ovamarz, whose real name is Marlon Hardy, said he was more than pleased that Daniel had chosen his song to do a remix.

"This is good for me in particular and Jamaican music in general," Marz said. "Daniel is really such a talented guy and so humble about his success. I give thanks to be a part of this project," Ovamarz added.

The original song is produced by Jordan of Chimney Records, and it was he has also been tipped to work on the remix.

Daniel has been in Jamaica since the end of May and, known for his constant tweets, has been keeping fans updated on his trip to the island. He has also done another remix featuring Gappy Ranks and Russian.

This, however, is not his first trip to Jamaica to do music. In December 2009, he was co-writing material with Tessanne Chin as well as recorded three songs with Busy Signal at DJ Karim's studios in Kingston. The songs are said to be for Busy Signal's upcoming VP Records project as well as Bedingfield's own upcoming project.

Daniel Bedingfield is the brother of pop singers Natasha Bedingfield and Nikola Rachelle and he is best known in Jamaica for the ballad, If Your'e Not The One.

In 2001, his song Gotta Get Thru This gathered momentum on white label, through the underground UK garage scene, and went on to become a number 1 smash in the UK Top 40 in December of that year. He has since had two more no.1 singles (If You're Not The One and Never Gonna Leave Your Side), as well as three further top 10 hits.

His debut album, also titled Gotta Get Thru This, which was recorded at home using Making Waves Audio software, reached No.2 in the UK albums chart and went on to sell more than 4 million copies worldwide..

While sharing his songs recently, Daniel writes,"Listen to Daniel Bedingfield Jamaica Run Tings Mix by DanielBedingfld: I'll add all my new Choons from Jamaica here as i add them."

He also tweeted that he was "stuck in my chair on the beach in Jamaica and i can't get out.I don't believe the effort to move myself from this chair is present within my self at this time."

So, if you are walking on a beach in Jamaica and see a guy stuck in a chair, it might just be you know who..

The Director of Public Prosecutions is to rule whether dancehall artiste Mavado, is to be called as a witness in the case involving the shooting death of one of his associates.

Conroy Edwards, who was reportedly part of the artiste's entourage, was shot in the abdomen, allegedly by a policeman, during an altercation outside a New Kingston nightclub on June 13.

He died in hospital three days later.

Attorney-at-law Christian Tavares Finson told RJR News that the prosecution wants a determination on whether Mavado, whose given name is David Brooks, can testify.

"My understanding is that the police are alleging that Mr. Brooks had some involvement in the incident and as a result of that he was charged for assault. The matter is being referred to the DPP and INDECOM has also gotten involved and a decision is to be taken by the DPP to see if Mr. Brooks will be a witness in the matter,"

"He has pleaded not guilty [to assault charges] and was in fact an innocent bystander to the whole incident," Mr. Tavares Finson said.

Mavado is scheduled to return to court on November 21.

The body of a St. Ann man linked to Saturday's stabbing death of his wife was discovered on Thursday afternoon, in a secluded area in Llandovery, St. Ann.

Tony White, otherwise called 'Tall P', is alleged to have killed his spouse, Keon White, in a domestic dispute in Salem, on Saturday.

According to reports, about two o clock , Mr. White's decomposing body was seen by a passerby hanging from a tree in Beverly, off the Llandovery Main Road.

Investigators say Mr. White is believed to have consumed a large portion of alcohol before climbing the tree.

Mrs. White's mother revealed that her daughter had only that week returned from work on a cruise ship. She said the couple had been having marital problems, but she was clueless as to what, specifically, led to her daughter's murder.

Police were called to the scene by residents who, after hearing a commotion, saw Mr. White leaving the home. They found Mrs. White's body with six stab wounds.

The suspected murder weapon, along with a note, was found beside her body.

Due to continued issues with Canadian Visa and Work Permit status for Beenie Man - the organizers of a show scheduled for Mntreal this weekend have cancelled the event.

Beenie Man lost his US Visa last year and new Canadian regulations, implemented in April, have made it next to impossible for him to get a Work Permit for Canada.

In a release, the organizers stated, "Please return your ticket to the person or location you bought it from for a refund. Our sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused. Our intention was always to put on a great event for the dancehall community and we are dismayed that things have turned out this way in the end."

Efforts to contact Blue, Beenie Man's manager, proved futile.

Buju calmly accepts 10-year prison sentence.

Popular Jamaican Reggae artiste, Mark Myrie, more commonly known as Buju Banton received a 10-year sentence this morning in a Florida courtroom.

United States magistrate, James Moody handed down the ruling in the Sam M Gibbons US Court in Tampa, Florida within the last two hours. The internationally acclaimed artiste will now serve his time the FCI prison facility in Miami.

Buju calmly accepted the verdict in front of a packed courtroom which included members of the artiste's family, manager Traci McGregor and his close friend and fellow Reggae artiste, Wayne Wonder. Other artistes and friends such as Delly Ranks and Gramps Morgan attempted to enter the courtroom but were turned away due to the crowd & the fact Judge Moody had already been seated around quarter to 9am.

Buju was convicted this past February of conspiracy to organize a drug deal in a police controlled warehouse in Florida in December 2009. This followed a mistrial that occurred following the first trial proceedings in 2010 & also followed co-conspirators Ian Thomas and James Mack pleading guilty after being held for attempting to purchase cocaine from undercover law enforcement officials. American federal government officials based their case off video and wiretapping evidence which caught Buju tasting cocaine and talking about possible sales points. The gun related charge of possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug offense against Buju was dropped.

JOY
I express the Spirit of joy and my life becomes radiant and joyful.

Joy. The word alone brings a smile to my face. By embracing joy, I shift my thinking, my mood and my life. Even when I am feeling sad, I turn to the Spirit within and I find my joy, which is stronger and more powerful than any thought of sadness.

Joy is transformative as I allow it free and full expression through my thoughts, words and actions. Joy fills my heart as I hold the hand of a loved one in need. Seeing past any human flaws and frailties, I behold their true essence. Our connection is life-affirming and joy-filled.

I rejoice in the opportunity to share my joy. I let the joy of Spirit shine through me to uplift every person whose life touches mine, and we are each blessed.

My brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of any kind, consider it nothing but joy.--James 1:2

Eurozone 'will collapse'

Webmin
No Comments
Jack Straw has predicted the collapse of the eurozone and urged the UK to consider the "alternatives" as the Greek debt crisis worsens.

The Labour MP and former foreign secretary said the euro was facing a "slow death" and the 17-member eurozone "cannot last" in its current form.

He was speaking as MPs discussed the prospect of a fresh bailout for Greece.

Treasury Minister Mark Hoban said it was in the UK's interest to "ensure the continuing stability" of the eurozone.

However, he insisted the UK would not be participating directly in any bailout and UK exposure to the Greek economy was "relatively small".

London Mayor Boris Johnson is among a growing number of UK politicians to call for this to be allowed to happen - and for Greece to leave the eurozone.

The Broadcasting Commission is recommending that a range of fines, with a maximum $15 million, on persons found guilty of engaging in the illicit practice of payola.

Payola is defined as the practice of paying bribes, particularly to radio personalities, for airplay to the recordings of unknown artistes, as a means of giving them exposure.

These recordings often include songs deemed inappropriate for airplay.

Professor Hopeton Dunn, the Chairman of the Broadcasting Commission, who was speaking at the monthly meeting of the Jamaica Chamber of Commerce at the Knutsford Court Hotel, New Kingston, on Tuesday (June 21), said imposition of the fines was among several recommendations the Commission made to the government, for enactment into law.

The other significant recommendation, he said, was updating the regulations governing the broadcast media, to give the Commission the power to impose the fines.

According to Dr. Dunn, this was, "something which we do not now have, and which would provide a kind of intermediary step, in terms of how we actually regulate the industry".

Professor Dunn said the information forthcoming to the Broadcasting Commission indicated that persons are paying or taking bribes amounting to as much as $350,000 to have their music played.

Buju ... convicted in February on gun and drug charges.
Reggae superstar Buju Banton will be barred from recording any new materials if he is sent to a United States (US) federal prison when he is sentenced in a Florida court tomorrow.

However, Buju, whose real name is Mark Myrie, might not have to cut off his trademark dreadlocks and will be allowed to practise his Rastafarian beliefs under strict supervision.

Chris Burke, a public affairs specialist at the Federal Bureau of Prisons in Washington, DC, said federal prison guidelines bar inmates from conducting "business activities" while they are incarcerated, but added that they do not "normally" require inmates to remove body hair.

Burke said a number of federal prisons have music programmes that include instruments which inmates are allowed to play, but made it clear that recording equipment is banned from these facilities.

"It (recording music) is on our list of prohibited activities for which inmates are subject to disciplinary action," he wrote in an emailed response to The Gleaner.

The bureau is the agency responsible for the custody and care of inmates being held in the 116 federal prisons in the US.

Buju was convicted in February on three of four federal drug and gun charges in the US Middle District Court, Florida Division, in Tampa.

He faces 15 years to life in prison when he is sentenced tomorrow.

WORLD PEACE
I see the world through the eyes of love.

Our society is often inundated with news and information that leaves us feeling anxious or unsure about the world we live in. But I have a choice as to where I focus my attention. Do I see only trouble, fear and strife? Or do I see harmony, progress and cooperation? The way I view the world has a powerful effect on my life.

Today I choose to see the world through the eyes of love. I choose to see peace instead of conflict, love instead of fear. I choose to see beyond any situation to the underlying truth of God's love. I trust in that love to soften the hearts and minds of all involved.

As I project a positive outlook and expectation of peace to those around me, I become a catalyst for peace in the world.

The earth is the Lord's and all that is in it. --Psalm 24:1

Steven Fray's attorney continues appeal

Webmin

The attorney for attempted hijacker Stephen Fray is continuing her legal arguments in the Court of Appeal for the court to quash her client's sentencing and conviction.

Jacqueline Samuels-Brown is expected to complete her submissions today.

Government prosecutor Jeremy Tailor is expected to present argument for the crown after Samuels-Brown wraps up her submission.

Samuels-Brown is arguing that Fray was insane in April 2009, when he attempted to highjack Canjet flight 918 at the Sangster International Airport.

In October 2009, Fray was convicted on several charges, eight months after he attempted to hijack a Canadian-bound aircraft.

He was convicted on eight counts of illegal possession of a firearm, shooting with intent, robbery with aggravation, assault at common law and breaches of the Airport Act arising from the attempted hijacking of the CanJet aircraft at the Sangster International Airport.

Fray was sentenced to a total of 83 years imprisonment, however, he will only serve a maximum of 20 years because the sentences are to run at the same time.

Samuels Brown argued the trial judge was wrong in rejecting the medical evidence that Fray had a psychological condition.

According to Samuels Brown, the judge should have found Fray guilty by reason of insanity.

She said given her client's mental condition he should be transferred from prison to a facility more suitable for persons with mental illnesses.

Popping out a couple of kids, for most of us, means you can kiss the next eighteen years of your life goodbye. But for celebrities, it usually means a gigantic payday.

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are putting their baby photos on the market, so let the bidding begin. The seven week-old twins, Moroccan Scott and Monroe, are Mariah and Nick's first. And so far, they're set to get around $200,000 for the photos.

The first photos were free--Mariah posted a couple of pics of her big, pregnant belly on her Twitter page. And then, she posed nude on the cover of a magazine with Nick holding her breasts as if he was steering a ship.

"Mariah and Nick are more concerned with doing the right thing than going to the highest bidder," an insider told the New York Post's Page Six.

"They're talking to a number of publications about doing it in the best and most tasteful way. Nick has said on radio he doesn't feel entirely comfortable selling pictures of his children. But the first picture remains very valuable to the paparazzi. There's not much movement going on right now."

Sure, selling pictures of your kids sounds bad, but considering all the bullsh-t they're going to put you through for the rest of your life, I say cash in while you can.

LET GO, LET GOD
As I let go and let God, I am at peace.

Just as winter gives way to spring, and spring gives way to summer, I release the seasons of my life that have come before. Whatever my experiences, God will use them for good. God is always with me and within me, calling me to new growth and new life. As I let go of the past, I answer God's call and open to my highest good.

Today is the start of a new season, externally and internally. In this new season, I meet my good. Through meditation and prayer, I open to God's wisdom within me. I let God guide me, moment by moment, to wholeness, love and abundance. No longer am I bound by the past; I let go and let God. I am at peace with the present moment, and I am free!

Agree with God, and be at peace; in this way good will come to you. --Job 22:21

GOOD WORKS
I am a vessel through which God's work is done.

We each want to do good work using our unique gifts and talents. How do I discern what is mine to do? I call upon the indwelling Christ for clarity. I set an intention to be motivated by love, kindness and generosity--rather than by fear, judgment or obligation. In the silence, I seek to better understand my purpose and listen for the still small voice of wisdom.

My guidance reveals ways I can serve authentically. Likewise, I am redirected when something is not mine to do.

With clarity of purpose, motivation and direction, I carry out good works that bring good results. I am a vessel through which God's work is done.

Very truly, I tell you, the one who believes in me will also do the works that I do and, in fact, will do greater works than these.--John 14:12

Colin Levy 'skanks' to a new beat

Webmin
No Comments
Riding high from the success of his latest single, the Barry O'Hare-produced, Lover's Holiday, reggae crooner, Colin Levy, is seizing the moment.

Without missing a beat, the artiste, who also goes by the name Iley Dread, has released what could be considered the follow-up single. And, from all indications, this song has 'winner' written all over it.

"Lover's Holiday went to number one on the chart in Jamaica and entered charts in North America ... for that I give thanks. Without the fans and my efficient team, I couldn't have done this," said the soft-spoken Rastaman.

Levy explained that the new single, simply called Skank, is an out-of-the-box tune for him. Possessing an infectious, uptempo beat, Skank makes the listener want to do just that - skank.

According to Colin Levy, when he first heard the riddim, he was a tad hesitant to actually do a song for it, as it was not in his usual lover's rock groove.  But, he figured that this was the perfect opportunity for him to explore his creativity, expand his fan base and make significant inroads into the dancehall.

"Actually, I am trying to create music that the dancehall fans can also appreciate, because in the clubs and dances most of the tracks being played are up-tempo beats," Levy said.

Skank is one of the songs on the singer's soon-to-be-released album, Unleashed, an offering which he says will herald a milestone in his musical journey.

"My desire is for Unleashed to appeal to all age groups, so what better way for me to express my versatility," a smiling Levy declared.

An eclectic composition, Unleashed will consist of lover's rock, roots, dancehall, ska and a touch of jazz.

Skank was produced by  Owen 'Bassieface' Renalls, and Peter 'Shady' Harrison at Mixing Lab Studio for Levy's Kings of Kings label.

Tips for Better Sex

Webmin
3 Comments

Can you remember the last time you couldn't wait to get home and shimmy between the sheets? Was it last week, last month? Last... year? We get it: Sometimes it's easier to give into your excuses -- I'm too tired, let's just do it this weekend, it doesn't even feel that great to begin with. But we don't need to tell you that sex is essential for a healthy marriage -- and also a healthy you. Research shows that a happy sex life can stamp out stress, reduce heart disease risk, and even improve immunity. But enough of the non-sexy talk. Try just one of these libido-lifting tricks today. You can thank us later.

1. Take a lunchtime stroll

Research shows that the more fit you are, the more sex you'll crave. In a study of women ages 45 to 55, sexual satisfaction correlated directly to fitness. "The less exercise they got, the lower their desire and sexual satisfaction," says study author Judith R. Gerber, PhD, a psychologist at the University of Vermont College of Medicine.

2. Book a rubdown

A pampering massage not only relieves stress... but "the skin-on-skin contact stimulates the sex hormone oxytocin," says Ian Kerner, PhD, author of "She Comes First."

"The more oxytocin released, the more desire a woman will feel."

3. Read something hot

Skip the evening news and flip through a sexy novel instead.

Erotic literature "can quickly jump-start arousal," says Carol Queen, PhD, a sexologist who works at Good Vibrations, a female-owned sex shop in San Francisco. She recommends the Herotica series, written by women, and The Diary of Anais Nin.

"Perfect for anyone who's not ready to get into bold four-letter words," says Queen.

4. Get really relaxed

Just a few meditation sessions can jack up your sex drive and speed arousal.

Researchers at Canada's University of British Columbia and Israel's Hadassah University Hospital measured reactions among 24 women watching an erotic film, then again after the subjects had attended three mindfulness meditation courses. Watching the same movie, the women were markedly more turned on than during the first viewing. "Mindfulness can directly change brain processing and allow women to experience arousal more acutely," says study co-author Lori Brotto, PhD.

5. Pop a multi

Too tired to feel sexy? It may be a diet deficiency.

Two overlooked nutrients may be to blame for sex-derailing exhaustion. "Low folate levels can make you feel tired, with no energy for sex," says Martha Morris, PhD, a Tufts University researcher; national surveys show that many women aren't getting enough of this B vitamin. And low iron can deplete brain neurotransmitters, which can lead to lethargy, says Swiss researcher Bernard Favrat, MD. The fix for both problems: a daily multivitamin with 100% of the DV for iron (18 mg) and folate (400 mcg).

6. Break a sweat beforehand

Exercise primes your body to get in the mood.

For some people, exercising too close to bedtime makes it hard for them to sleep. Take advantage of that found energy. "After 35 to 40 minutes of moderate exercise, everything in your body is going right," says Janet Hyde, PhD, a professor of psychology and women's studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. "Your blood is circulating, your nervous system is firing, so scheduling sex right after you exercise makes for good sex."

7. Smell your way sexy

These surprising scents will move you from the kitchen to the bedroom.

Cucumber, licorice, and baby powder have been shown to turn women on, increasing vaginal blood flow by 13 percent. Pumpkin pie and lavender increase blood flow by 11 percent. Try this: To cap a romantic dinner, serve pumpkin pie and keep a cucumber-scented sachet next to your pillow.

8. Ask about those little blue pills

The same meds that put your partner in the mood may also give your sex drive a lift Pills like Viagra increase blood flow to the genital area -- something women need for arousal just as much as men do. Though the FDA hasn't approved the pill for women, doctors can prescribe it off-label. Ask your healthcare provider if these meds might help you too.

9. Check your medicine cabinet

Any antidepressants in there? They could be stealing your orgasm. Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), a class of drugs that includes Prozac and Zoloft, "are probably the number one cause of anorgasmia [inability to have an orgasm]," says Andrew Goldstein, MD, of the Sexual Wellness Center in Annapolis, MD. They short-circuit your pleasure center by decreasing levels of the brain chemical dopamine (one of the sexual triumvirate, along with estrogen and testosterone).

10. Patch it up

If your sex drive has cooled down -- because of hormone abnormalities or surgery -- a testosterone patch may help rekindle your fire.

Amy Winehouse booed at Belgrade concert

Amy Winehouse at Bowery Ballroom, March 2007

Earlier this month she checked out of rehab and was given the go ahead to embark on her European tour. But it would seem that Amy Winehouse has spectacularly fallen off the wagon as her Serbian fans found out to their horror Saturday night.

The singer was booed as she took to the stage in Belgrade on the first leg of her 12-date stint, and looked intoxicated as she stumbled around the stage.

A representative for the singer said that upcoming festival dates in Istanbul on Monday and in Athens on Wednesday would be cancelled following the Belgrade show.

Her next show is scheduled for July 8 in Spain.

A statement released by Winehouse's management read: 'Despite feeling sure that she wanted to fulfill these commitments, she has agreed with management that she cannot perform to the best of her ability and will return home.

'She would like to apologize to fans expecting to see her at the shows but feels that this is the right thing to do.'

An hour after she was due to arrive on stage in Belgrade, after being introduced by one of her backing singers, she staggered on and made her way to the back to hug one of her guitarists.

Wearing a short green and black dress that accentuated her cosmetically-enhanced breasts, she sat down on one of the speakers and adjusted her shoes while her concerned backing singer asked if she was ok and steadied her back to her microphone.

Amy, 27, looked confused and then took off one of her shoes which she threw on the floor before walking unsteadily over to her microphone.

After missing her cue a couple of times, she proceeded to deliver a half-spoken and mumbled version of her song Just Friends, her last release back in 2008.

The situation didn't improve much throughout the concert, as the Back to Black singer disappeared off stage several times leaving her band playing.

And according to local press reports, the 20,000 fans described as a 'scandal' and a 'disaster'.

Fans were also angry as may had paid about £35 a ticket which is a lot of money in a country where the average salary is about £274 a month.

Marley coffee not jammin in Canada

Webmin
No Comments

Regulators in British Colombia, Canada have prohibited the trading of shares in Jammin Java, a coffee company chaired by Rohan Marley, son of reggae legend Bob Marley, over failure to file its financial report.

The British Columbia Securities Commission (BCSC) issued a cease trade order against the stock inside its jurisdiction, posted on the BCSC's website late last month.

However, the stock trades freely elsewhere. Essentially, the Canadian regulator wants about 30 financial documents, most of which are already filed to US regulators, officially sent to BCSC.

Once filed, in accordance with its Securities Act, the commission noted it would consider lifting the cease order.

Specifically, the BCSC wants Jammin Java to file its quarterly and annual financial statements outstanding since 2008, management discussions, annual information forms from 2009; a notice of its changes in corporate structure, particularly related to its name change from Marley Coffee to Jammin Java; and copies of news releases and reports disclosing material changes in its business affairs since 2008.

In response, Jammin Java said in a notice filed to shareholders last week that it would comply.

Jammin Java Corp, a US-based company, provides roasted coffee on a wholesale level to the service, hospitality, office coffee service and big box store industry. Last year, its chairman Rohan Marley listed Jammin Java on the Over The Counter stock exchange, the OTC, in the US.

The Canadian hold follows a period of volatility for the penny stock, which became the darling of the OTC market last month hitting a US$6.11 high on May 12 then dipping rapidly to US$1 a week later.

The company has been touted as the next big coffee brand in line with Fortune 500 Starbucks, despite having only US$40,000 in sales, its latest financials indicate.

Commissioner of Police, Owen Ellington, says criminal groups involved in organized crime and transnational organized crime are responsible for over 80 percent of violent crimes committed in Jamaica.

According to the Commissioner, while this position has been challenged by scholars, opinion leaders, and journalists, the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) is uniquely positioned to offer a more informed perspective on the country's violence problem.

The JCF head says the organisation's intelligence and investigative capabilities, as well as its core business working in the communities most affected by violence, put it at an advantage in shedding light on the country's violent state.

He maintains that death, destruction of property, decline in social investment  as well as the delivery of critical public services are all consequences of criminal gang violence.

FATHER'S BLESSING
I bless my father and all fathers around the world.

Expressing love toward each person in my family is one of the ways I demonstrate my love for God and recognize the spirit of God in my family members. Today I express my love for my father.

If my father is living, I express my love and appreciation to him directly. I voice my feelings and let him know that he is loved. If my father has passed away, I bless him in prayer and honor his memory and spirit, which live in my heart.

If for any reason I have been estranged from my father, I allow the forgiving love of God to ease and release any resentment that has kept us from understanding and loving each other. Today I let God's love express through me and I bless my father.

All the families of the earth shall be blessed.--Genesis 12:3

FLEXIBLE
I experience the fullness of life.

Because I am flexible, I never give up on myself or my dreams. When a change seems to alter my plans, I don't give in to feelings of helplessness or hopelessness. My divine purpose is to be creative and to find fulfillment in whatever I am doing.

Any tendency to be rigid in my thinking falls away as I welcome divine ideas into my awareness. There is more than one way to the fulfillment of my heart's desires. A whole new world of possibilities is open to me.

Pressures or fears may threaten to derail my dreams; however, I am a spiritual being and I do not veer off the course on which Spirit is leading me. I eagerly move forward and experience the fullness of life with flexibility and the expectancy of good.

I can do all things through him who strengthens me.--Philippians 4:13

Jamaica's Reggae Boyz are on a high at the CONCACAF Gold Cup 2011 in the United States after defeating Honduras 1 - 0 in their Group "B" top of the table clash at the Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey, Monday night .

Ryan Johnson's 36th minute strike, his second of the tournament, proved to be the decider.

The United States-based striker, who also missed a penalty in the 72nd minute, he tried to explain the miss.

"(The) keeper dived early and my head was down so I didn't see him. I'm disappointed in the penalty kick but at the same time, we got the win and I'm happy. We haven't been scored on in three games and that's exactly what we want to do, we want to continue to be a defensively hard team to break down and we're proven to score goals, so that's what we have to do, all the way," Johnson said.

The win means Jamaica tops Group "B" with maximum 9 points and will play their quarter-final fixture on Sunday, against the runner-up from Group "C", which will be decided on Tuesday.

International reggae artiste Buju Banton will know his fate in 12 days.

The incarcerated Grammy Award winner artiste is expected to be sentenced in a Florida court on June 23, putting an end to his lengthy high profile drug battle against the United States government.

Professor David Rowe, prominent Florida based attorney is predicting a long sentence for Buju based on the pre sentencing guideline and the charges filed against him.

Buju, whose given name is Mark Myrie, has been locked up since December 10, 2009 and was found guilty of three cocaine related charges on February 22, 2011.

He faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years.

However, his lawyers have already filed an appeal stating that 15 years is more than necessary for the crimes committed.

Gibbons courthouse in Tampa, (Photo: Reuters).
Jamaican reggae artiste, Buju Banton, has file court papers in Florida, asking
for a shorter prison sentence in that jurisdiction.
The Grammy Award winner artiste was convicted in February of conspiring to set up a cocaine deal in Florida in 2009.
He faces a mandatory minimum of 15 years in prison.
But in court documents filed on Thursday, Buju's lawyer, David Markus, contends
that a 15-year-sentence is much more than necessary in the singer's case.

He contends that Buju's limited participation in the drug transaction, his
charitable work in Jamaica and his otherwise clean record entitles him to a
reduced sentence.

The documents include letters of support for Buju from actor Danny Glover,
reggae singer Stephen Marley and Atlanta Hawks basketball player Etan Thomas.

Buju is also seeking an acquittal and a new trial.
His sentencing hearing is set for June 23 in Tampa federal court.

INNER PEACE
I radiate peace with every thought, word and action.

Peacefulness is an indication that I am in alignment with God. The kingdom of God is one of peace and harmony. As I abide in peace, everything in my world contributes to my peacefulness.

When peaceful, I give up every inharmonious thought. Peaceful thoughts and those of friction or resistance cannot be in my mind at the same time.

Finding God, the source of peace, within myself, I radiate peace to those around me with all I think, say and do. In this way, I help to bring peace into manifestation in the world. Evidence of discord and disorder is now removed from my life. The world takes on a new appearance because I abide in the presence of infinite peace.

Now may the God of peace ... make you complete in everything good.--Hebrews 13:20, 21

LeAnn Rimes Sex Tape On The Way

LeAnn Rimes

First Anthony Weiner is tweeting pics of his package. Then Kim Kardashian is
being accused of cheating and there are alleged sexts to prove it. Now, LeAnn
Rimes is said to have a sex tape that was found in the back of a moving truck?

Sloppy sloppy behavior celebs. You can't just leave sexy memorabilia floating
around twitter, inboxes, and obviously not on the back of trucks! LeAnn Rimes is
the newest celebrity to have an alleged "sex tape."

However the tape is not of Rimes and current husband Eddie Cibrian, the sexy
video is supposedly of Rimes and her ex-husband, Dean Sheremet. Oooo the story
unfolds.

The alleged footage is said to have been found in a moving truck. This is the
part that gets me. Was this tape so old they were still using VHS tapes and
lazily chucked it into the back of the truck? Or did someone find like a memory
stick containing the footage or like an abandoned flipcam?

Regardless, LeAnn is desperate to deny the existence of a sex tape. Duh.
Everyone denies it, at first. Kim Kardashian denied her sex tape in the
beginning and somehow she now has a career worth millions. You start with a sex
tape, which leads to starring in half the programming on the E! channel, a
kazillian endorsement deals, and ends in eventually marrying a ball player. Is
that the future you want for yourself Ms. Rimes? I think you do.

Rimes reps deny the sex tape and LeAnn took to twitter to say, "I have never
filmed myself having sex on tape, period."

HARMONY
I connect with others in harmony and in love.

My connection with family and friends gives me a sense of belonging. We are in each other's lives for a reason. We learn from one another, and we share our love, support and appreciation for each other.

Just as musical notes balance each other in harmony, so do we balance one another as we move in accord. While each person is unique, his or her gifts, talents and personal experiences complement those of others.

I am also part of a universal family, the family of all humanity. Opportunities abound for cooperation and understanding among all people. As others come into my awareness, I look for and find the good in each one. I reach out with support and appreciation, in love and in harmony.

Whenever we have an opportunity, let us work for the good of all.--Galatians 6:10

Charge against Mavado dropped

David Brooks pka Mavado attended St Ann's Bay RM court this morning to answer a charge of Malicious Destruction of Property, laid against him two weeks ago.

Mavado maintained his innocence from day one and since he was charged it came to light that the complainant who's property was damaged never gave a statement accusing Mavado of damaging property. In fact, Mavado should never have been charged.

David Brooks was called to the witness box first thing as court opened and the Judge immediately issued a No Order in the matter.

"Mr Brooks, you are free to go," instructed the RM.

Mavado wasnt even on the stand for 30 seconds. The complainant indicated that she could not proceed against Mavado as that is not the statement she gave and case was dismissed.

"I am relieved its over at the first appearance," said Mavado. "But i am not surprised. I was surprised when i was charged, but I knew the truth would come to light and I would be quickly vindicated. Although it appears at times we get a fight I had to keep faith that the Jamaican justice system would rightly set me free. I damaged nothing or no-one so I just remained confident with that knowledge. To God be the glory."

Mavado intends to continue trodding the positive path he has been on for the longest while, with new releases and videos coming soon. The video for smash hit Delilah will be shot next week.

Mavado is also planning a fundraiser for the Maxfield Park Childrens Home, a cause he has taken up recently.

Vybz Kartel

"For the last year and a half, we ah get stifle, we ah get overpriced, dem a tell people say we de pon tour and we de ya nah go nowhere. We ah suffer, we nah get no promotion, we have kids to feed and me have my mother to take care of," a representative of the Merital Family said in a release.

The group shot to fame in 2010 with the 'My Money (Ha Ha)' song on the Stripclub riddim and featured a hilarious Vybz Kartel cameo where he delivers a Santa-like laugh. The song, on the Adidjaheim/NotNice/Concussion labels, hit #1 on several major charts in Jamaica and the Caribbean. The group also continued to score hits with  other popular songs such as Pray, When We Party and Bad Like We on the Clappers riddim.

However, in the last 12 months, they have seen a marked decline in their level of promotion, and in the output of singles in the local dancehall market.

"From wah day ya, mi see riddim a mek and no Merital, no Jahvinci not on it and when we call Notnice, him say 'ah the Teacha set it'. So wah kinda suffocation this? We have been loyal to the organisation, and it is not being loyal to us...no video, no promotion, no recording. Mi fed up and tired. We caan reason or have a number for the man who run the organisation that we are supposed to be signed to," another group member said in the release.

The release said that the level of segregation and separation insisted on by Portmore Empire head Vybz Kartel had stifled opportunities to meet and collaborate with other artistes.

"Mi come to do music and sake ah the Empire, we never get to contact certain producers and artistes, or meet with icons in the business like Bounty Killer, just because of the Empire, we just caan link wid nobody else or it would be seen as a straight violation," a representative of the Merital Family said.

In the meantime, the group has continued to record songs, voicing Tell Me Why for the Young Money label for Good Good Productions, and 'Dancing' on the TYPE R label. They also recently recorded 'On and On' on the Gangsta City Part Two label.

"We are doing our own bookings now and our own management. We are willing to work with all the great producers out there to make our careers happen. Big up to Vybz Kartel for signing us in the first place, but we have to move on now so that we can earn and support our families, the way things are going on caan work. We fed up and tired," the release said.

The St John's to Pedro road in Clarendon, which does not have an alternative
route, also remains blocked.

The NWA noted that efforts are ongoing to restore access to those roadways as
soon as possible.

Motorists are also being reminded that the Bog Walk Gorge in St. Catherine is
closed.

The reminder comes after a motorist disobeyed the closure warning and the
trailer he was driving overturned in the Rio Cobre this morning.

The trailer driver was rescued and taken to hospital.
The main road between Mavis Bank and Robertsfield in St. Andrew which was
blocked yesterday as a result of a land slippage has been reopened.

The presiding judge at the carnal abuse trial of international televangelist
Reverend Dr Paul Lewis this morning ruled that the pastor has a case to answer.

Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey's ruling follows a no-case submission made by
Lewis' lawyer, Keith Bishop, yesterday.

The attorney will now have to mount his defence to the seven-member jury.
The Crown has already closed its case at the trial.
Allegations are that in June 2009, Lewis met a 15-year-old girl at a church
convention in Little London, Westmoreland, where he was a guest preacher.

The pastor allegedly exchanged telephone numbers with the girl and, in a
subsequent meeting, took her and a 14-year-old female companion with him on a
trip to Clarendon.
he Crown is alleging that, on their return to Westmoreland, the girls spent the
night with him at his Negril hotel.

There was a subsequent police investigation and the pastor was charged with
carnal abuse.

Lewis remains behind bars as his $300,000 bail was revoked.

Jamaicans will have to brace themselves for more rains as the Meteorological
Service has extended the flash flood warning for low-lying and flood-prone areas
of Trelawny, St. James, Hanover, Westmoreland and St. Elizabeth until 5 p.m.
today.

A flash flood watch remains in effect for other parishes.
Motorists and pedestrians should not attempt to cross flooded roadways or other
low-lying areas as strong currents are likely. Residents in low-lying areas
should be on the alert for rising waters and be ready to move quickly to higher
ground.

The area of low pressure across the western Caribbean remains disorganised and
continues to drift slowly northward, away from Jamaica.

However, unstable weather conditions associated with this system continues to
linger mostly across western parishes. Satellite and RADAR reports indicate that
light to moderate showers, affected western parishes with cloudy conditions
across eastern and central parishes.

The forecast is for periods of showers and thunderstorms to continue across the
island, today, with the heaviest showers and thunderstorms expected across
northern and southwestern parishes. Thereafter, a gradual improvement in the
weather is expected.

Fishers and other marine interests are advised to exercise caution, as strong
winds and rough sea conditions are expected in the vicinity of showers and
thunderstorms.

BEAUTY
I behold the beauty of God's creation.

With the first light of morning, the sky becomes a masterpiece of color. Sunlight paints the mountaintops, treetops and rooftops with a soft golden hue. I praise God for this new day.

Beholding the splendor of all creation, I delight in the sight of an eagle soaring through a clear blue sky or a tiny caterpillar inching its way across a leaf. I choose to see goodness and beauty in the environment, the peoples of the earth and in myself.

As nighttime darkens the horizon, I gaze at the stars and close the day with a prayer of thanksgiving for my blessings and for the Presence that created and watches over all. No matter the number of years I have lived, I remain in awe of the beauty of God's creation.

God saw everything that he had made, and indeed, it was very good.--Genesis 1:31

After accidentally exposing her nipples as she arrived at the CFDA Fashion
Awards, Lady Gaga decided she may as well go the whole hog at the after-party.
The flamboyant singer ended up removing her custom-made Mugler gown to just the
sheer bodysuit underneath, leaving nothing to the imagination.
The 25-year-old had just nipple covers and a G-string protecting what little
modesty she had left as she danced at the bash at The Standard hotel in New
York.
The singer was clearly in high spirits after being named Fashion Icon at the
CFDA Fashion Awards hours earlier.
Her revealing after-party outfit came hours after Gaga's wardrobe malfunction on
the purple carpet at the awards at the Lincoln Center.

Posing with her left arm clutching her turquoise wig, it was hardly surprising
that the precarious outfit gave way.

Gaga was assisted by a minder as she arrived at Alice Tully Hall, staggering
around in a staggering pair of 24in vertiginous platform heels.
Her dramatic outfit came complete with a ruffled train and with spikes running
down between her derrière, begging the question as to how she sat down inside
the awards show.
Lady Gaga accepted the Style Icon award from V magazine editor-in-chief Stephen
Gan.
Accepting her accolade, she said: 'All of you made me feel like a star before I
was.
'As much as this award means to me personally... I just want you to know how
much this means to young Americans.'

If Chelsea Handler still had a thing for 50 cent, she better look away now.
The 35-year-old rapper was clearly enjoying himself whilst photographing his
sultry new girlfriend on the beach in Mexico this weekend.
The curvy woman was seen posing sexily in a very skimpy two-piece, as the star
eagerly snapped away.
In every frame, 50's new flame looked sensational in her yellow bikini.
Clearly experienced in the modelling game, the young woman was certainly
comfortable as she  arched her back, gazed over her shoulder and stretched out
in the sand.
Later the pair took the steamy shoot to a pool, where 50 stripped off and
continued snapping, while his new lady friend perched herself on the concrete
ledge.
Following the shoot, the couple were seen reviewing the snaps, obviously
impressed by their fine work.
The identity of 50's new squeeze is unknown, but it is the first woman he has
been spotted with since his split from talk-show host Chelsea Handler last year.

And according to Chelsea his new love interest is in for a treat.
For months, the comedian had kept quiet about her relationship with the rapper.
But after the short-lived romance was over, she couldn't resist making reference
to it on her talk show.
Notorious for her crude humour, Chelsea made a rather vulgar joke about her
former flame after her guest, animal trainer Donald Schultz, brought a huge
python onto her show.
As she cowered in fear from a giant snake, she quipped: 'I haven't seen anything
like that since I dated 50 Cent.'

Eminem Attacks Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber

Webmin
No Comments
Eminem took a break from hating on celebs in his songs, but now he lashes new
insults at a new crop of musicians.

Eminem's new single, "A Kiss" from his upcoming album "Hell: The Sequel" his new
collaborative album with Royce da 5'9, makes some scathing remarks at both Lady
Gaga and Justin Bieber.

Eminem is just a h8r because Lady Gaga is more famous than him now. He raps,
"Tell Lady Gaga she can quit her job at the post office/she's still a male lady.
Wouldn't f--k her with her d--k/You heard it/The verdict's in."

Oh man! Did he just make a Lady-Gaga's-a-hermaphrodite diss? I haven't heard
that one in years. Good job on not releasing this song in 2009 when that joke
was relevant.

Eminem then turns his disses towards wunderkid Justin Bieber, "Him don't give a
damn about Bieber, do him?/Evil just seems to be seeping through him." Evil
seeping through him? Really? Justin Bieber probably has fun dip pulsing through
his veins.

Eminem is notorious for trash talking and attacking other artists in his raps:
Moby, Christina Aguilera, Christopher Reeves, Nick Cannon, Mariah Carey, Michael
Jackson, and Chris Kirkpatrick have all been the subject of his disses.

However, Eminem did have kinder words for Katy Perry, "So tell KatyPerry he's on
the tail, he's tailgating." I think in rap speak that's a compliment, but I
doubt Katy Perry would appreciate being "tailgated" by Eminem, but at least he
didn't say she has a penis.

Just a quick recap: DJ Amber says she's pregnant for reggae singer, I-Octane;
I-Octane says it's not so, Amber just wants to discredit him, but Amber insists
it is so. Now, we have a third party entering the mix, he's none other than Bobo Zarro, an
artiste from back in the day who says he is Amber's ex. Zarro says he suspected
that DJ Amber and I-Octane were involved from 2010, and even his neighbor
pointed out to him that the two were more than just good friends. (Neighbours
must mind their own business.)
Anyway, Zarro also told the popular afternoon paper that he and  I-Octane were
such good friends that the singer said he Zarro was like his father. Therefore,
Zarro is now pissed that his 'son' Octane has gotten his ex, Amber pregnant.
What a mix up!
All we can ask is: Who next is going to crawl out of the woodwork. Perhaps we'll
hear something from I-Octane's other girlfriend, the pastor's daughter who quit
her job on television just last week.

Allegations are that he took two girls aged 14 and 15 to a hotel in Negril. He
is alleged to have fondled the 14 year old, and had sex with the other teenager.

REDjet announced on Tuesday that it will be laying off eight of its cabin crew.
The airline is hoping that the move will be temporary as it seeks permission to

The Civil Aviation Authority said it would have indicated last week if REDjet

Meteorological Service has continued the Flash Flood Warning for low-lying and
flood-prone areas of Jamaica until 5 p.m. today.

Motorists and pedestrians are advised not to attempt or cross flooded roadways
or other low-lying areas as strong currents are likely. Residents in low-lying
areas should be on the alert for rising waters and be ready to move quickly to
higher ground.

Satellite imagery and Radar reports indicate that light to moderate showers with
isolated thunderstorm affected most parishes last night.

The MET service said unstable condition persists across Jamaica, while the
stationary area of low pressure is becoming weaker across the western Caribbean
and remains disorganised.

It said we expect gradual improvement across the island during the next 12 to 24
hours. However, cloudy conditions will continue with showers and isolated
thunderstorm mostly during the afternoon especially across northern parishes, as
the situation return to normal.

Fishers and other marine interests are advised to exercise caution, as strong
winds and rough sea conditions are expected in the vicinity of showers and
thunderstorms, especially offshore the west coast.

The MET service will continue to monitor the progress of this system.

The Bog Walk Gorge in St. Catherine remains closed for a second day.
A team from the National Works Agency (NWA) will conduct an assessment on
Wednesday morning to determine if the corridor can be reopened.
The agency will also dispatch response teams to begin the task of clearing
blocked roads in communities in rural St. Andrew.
At the top of the list is Mavis Bank.
"There is a massive breakaway just below the Mavis Bank Police Station
resulting in many communities being cut off. We were not able to access the area
last evening because we were not able to go beyond Gordon Town where the ford
was an issue, the river that cut across the road was in spate, there was also a
lot of debris on the road and we were not able to move beyond that point," said
Stephen Shaw, NWA's Communications Manager.
He is also advising motorists to proceed with caution along flood damaged roads
in Clarendon.

She has a history of highly-sexualised and provocative performances.
But last night Rihanna took it to another level as she took to the stage for her
Loud tour in Baltimore, Maryland.
The 23-year-old singer pulled out all the stops to get temperatures rising as
she slipped into a revealing pair of hot-pants and a bra and thrusted her way
through her songs with some of her most risqué dance moves yet.
The Bajan star's embellished two-piece left little to the imagination as it
clung tightly to her dangerous curves.
She paired the racy look with some hot-pink vinyl ankle boots and giant
florescent hoop earrings to add extra wow factor.
Starting out the performance in a metallic blue mini-trench she stripped down on
stage into the revealing attire, much to the delight of the crowd.
Then, in a series of suggestive moves, Rihanna proceeded to crawl around on her
hands and knees, grind her hips and make gestures to her crotch.
The crowd went even more crazy when the pop star greeted her fans as she knelled
on the stage.
The risqué performance comes after Rihanna was forced to defend her
controversial new music video Man Down, insisting 'this is the real world'.
Taking to Twitter, she attacked her critics, claiming she was a 'rockstar not a
parent' and saying she had 'the freedom to make art'.
Man Down attracted the wrath of the Parents Television Council, who blasted
Rihanna for showing a 'cold, calculated execution of murder'.
The video shows her taking revenge on a rapist by gunning him down in a crowded
train station.
But Rihanna, herself a victim of domestic violence, disagreed with the
criticism.
'I'm a 23 year old rockstar with NO KIDS! What's up with everybody wanting me to
be a parent? I'm just a girl, I can only be your/our voice!' she wrote.
And in an apparent direct response to the PTC she added: 'Cuz we all know how
difficult/embarrassing it is to communicate touchy subject matters to anyone
especially our parents!
'The music industry isn't exactly Parents R Us! We have the freedom to make art,
LET US! Its your job to make sure they don't turn out like US.'
The council said in a statement: 'Rihanna's personal story and status as a
celebrity superstar provided a golden opportunity for the singer to send an
important message to female victims of rape and domestic violence.

Sean Kingston now breathing on his own

Sean Kingston is walking around eight days after he was brought there in
critical condition following a personal-watercraft crash, the publicist for Epic
Records said Monday.
Kingston, 21, has been upgraded to serious condition, publicist Joe Carozza
said.
"Sean is breathing on his own and walked for the first time this morning,"
Carozza said.

Kingston was admitted to Miami's Jackson Memorial Hospital after the crash.
Two sources close to the hip-hop artist told CNN last week that doctors expected
Kingston to need about six weeks to recover.
He suffered a broken jaw, a fractured wrist and water in his lungs, according to
the sources, who both asked not to be identified since they were not authorized
to speak to the media.
Cassandra Sanchez, 23, was riding on the Sea Doo personal watercraft with
Kingston when it crashed into a Miami bridge on May 29, according to an accident
report from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
Sanchez was also injured and hospitalized.
Kingston had bought the Sea Doo just days before, as he was moving into a new
house in Miami, one of the sources said.
His life vest apparently fell off during the crash, causing him to sink below
the water before he was rescued, according to witnesses.

St. Thomas, Kingston and St. Andrew, St. Catherine, Clarendon, Manchester, and
St. Elizabeth remains in effect for the next five hours.
There is also a Flash Flood Watch for all other parishes also until 5 o'clock
Monday afternoon.
A FLASH FLOOD WARNING means flooding has been reported or will occur shortly.
Motorists and pedestrians should not attempt to cross flooded roadways or other
low-lying areas as strong currents are likely.
Residents in low-lying areas should be on the alert for rising waters and be
ready to move quickly to higher ground.
"The area of low pressure over the Caribbean Sea and Jamaica has remained all
but stationary over the past 24 hours. This large area of disturbed weather is
expected to linger over the central Caribbean until Tuesday and will continue to
influence the weather over the island over this period," said Nickesha Hibbert,
Duty Forecaster at the Met Office.

"Satellite imagery and radar reports indicate that light to moderate showers
affected sections of most parishes Sunday with moderate to heavy showers and
thunderstorms detected across eastern and southwestern parishes. The forecast is
for periods of showers and thunderstorms which could be heavy at times affecting
most parishes today and Tuesday," she said.
Meanwhile, fishers and other marine interests are advised to exercise extreme
caution, as strong winds and rough sea conditions are expected in the vicinity
of showers and thunderstorms.
The Met Office says the Area of Low Pressure now has a medium chance of
developing into a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours.

Charlie Sheen has kept a low profile since the announcement that Ashton Kutcher
was replacing him on Two And A Half Men.
But there's nothing he likes as much as a party.
Sheen came out of hiding and let his hair down as he helped his one remaining
'goddess' Natalie Kenly celebrate her 25th birthday last week.
Joining some of her alternative-looking friends at the Nine Thirty restaurant at
the W Hotel in Los Angeles, Sheen was bleary eyed as he posed with Kenly.
The 45-year-old draped himself over his pink-haired girlfriend, who wore a black
vest and white jeans before changing into a T-shirt.
Sheen was sacked from the hit comedy show because of his drug addled behaviour
and rants against its creator Chuck Lorre.

He then launched a one man show called My Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat is Not
An Option and toured the U.S. to mixed reviews.
There is speculation that the star is running out of money.
Earlier this month it was revealed Sheen, who was the highest paid actor on
television, earning over $45million a year borrowed $10m from the Hollywood
studio who made Two A Half Men.
Sheen has now put his home on the market for $7.2 million, describing his plush
pad as a 'spectacular celebrity home' on the real estate listing.

Just a few weeks ago Sheen's divorce from Brooke Mueller was finalised, with a
judge granting her $55,000 a month in child support on top of a lump sum of
$757,698.70.

He also agreed to pay her another $1 million for her share of their marital
home, which may explain his decision to sell.

implement more humane and positive procedures in our jails so that our people
can be welcomed back into society after they have done their time. May it be a
reference point for Jamaican males that have never taken the time to understand
what our mothers, baby mothers, sisters and women in general go through. Most of

they find their way through life in this lovely place Xaymaca, its original name

Radio Disc jockey guilty of theft

A radio disc jockey who was accused of stealing millions of dollars from the
wife of the late music icon, Clement "Coxsone" Dodd, has been found guilty.
Lou Gooden was convicted for defrauding Norma Dodd and her husband's company,
Jamaica Recording and Publishing Studio Limited, formerly "Studio One", of more
than three million dollars.
Gooden was scheduled to be sentenced Friday, in the Corporate Area Criminal
Court, but the hearing was aborted, due to the absence of his attorney. He's now
to be sentenced on June 7.
Gooden was charged in 2008, following investigations into allegations of fraud
at the Studio One recording company. Investigators reported that between 2006
and 2008, Gooden, who was employed as a bearer to Mrs Dodd, forged her
signature.
He then submitted documents to the bank with her signature, ordering the
institution to release company funds to him.
The fraud was uncovered by the company in July 2008, and the Fraud Squad was
called in.
Investigations led to the arrest of Gooden, who is now in custody awaiting
sentence.

As I forgive, I recognize God's goodness expressing in and around me.

Life lessons bring me closer to knowing the peace of Christ within my heart. When I experience a hurtful exchange with another person, I allow forgiveness to release me from the pain. Forgiving does not condone unacceptable behavior; it gives me permission to break free from the hold people or situations may have on me.

With compassion, I forgive myself for doing something I regret or for neglecting to do something I wish I had done. Through self-forgiveness, my capacity to forgive others increases. Judgment is released.

As I forgive, I gratefully accept the peace of Christ within and see the goodness of God expressing.

Do not judge, and you will not be judged; do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.--Luke 6:37

UK opens new immigration centre

Webmin

Failed asylum seekers and foreign prisoners in England, including many
Jamaicans, could be deported starting in September following Wednesday's opening
of a new immigration centre in Britain.
The centre means that the United Kingdom Border Agency can now hold up to 3,400
people in detention at any one time.
The main objective of the centre is to ensure that those due for deportation are
not allowed back into the community before they are removed.
The British Government has already launched two nationwide enforcement campaigns
and the UK Border Agency's enforcement activity has resulted in 14 hundred
arrests, 330 prosecutions and 260 removals.

Meanwhile, it is becoming easier for some failed asylum seekers to regularise
their status with a reduction from 12 to 8 years, if they have had no criminal

While there has been a significant reduction in the number of Jamaicans behind
bars in England in recent times, Jamaicans still account for the highest number

President of the Jamaica Premier League Clubs Association, Edward Seaga says the
Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) needs to disclose whether it was the recipient
of the alleged US$40,000 bribery funds from Mohamed Bin Hammam, the President of
the Asian Football Confederation.
Mr. Seaga says the JFF runs the risk of being exposed and embarrassed if it does
not break its silence on the issue.
"We're saying a clear statement has to be made and must be made otherwise you
face being a part of the disclosure when the investigation starts. If you were
involved in a disclosure at that time, it's going to make the organisation one
that brings football in Jamaica into disrepute, so we're hoping that they're not
going to be involved in that way but it's up to them ... it's not something that
we can force," he said.
Mr. Seaga added that federations guilty of accepting corrupt payments should
face some action from football's governing body FIFA, if they are serious about
cleaning the sport.

Jennifer Lopez (珍妮弗·洛佩兹)

Bad news for Jennifer Lopez!
It seems as if the tape she's been working so hard to keep under wraps is going
to be released one day or another.

Rumor has it that porn companies are currently at war to buy the Jennifer Lopez
honeymoon tape that was shot back in 1997 when she married her ex Ojani Noa.

The tape is not as bad as some of the other celebrity "sex tapes" that have been
released, but it does feature the one BIG thing that J.Lo is known for...her
booty!

Red Light District, YouPorn.com, and PornHub.com are all trying snag the tape.
Bids have gone up to $40,000, which is surprisingly low, but that's only because
there's no actual sex on the tape. Why doesn't she just pay her douchebag ex
100k and take the tape off his hands?

J.Lo tried to block Noa from releasing the tape but an L.A. judge ruled she had
no case.

Sorry J.Lo guess there's spanking and booty shaking in our future! Wonder how
Marc is going to feel about the tape being released. It's so sad because those
two seem to be in such a great place with their relationship.

The Management team of I-Octane would like to make it clear that the song "Woman
Mi Seh" on the Coach Riddim that has been released by Free Willy Music is in no
way shape or form representative of the music of I-Octane.
On the request of Arthur 'Whale' of Free Willy music I-Octane had written and
recorded the song as a demo to be recorded by fellow entertainer Bounty Killa.
The artiste's last involvement with the song was when he personally handed it
over to Bounty. Although there was no written agreement to cement the above
deal, it was understood by both parties that the demo was simply a guideline
Bounty Killer for his recording.
Nothing was heard about the demo up to three months after  the song was written.
Unfortunately, this week the demo was released by Free Willy Music, which is
contrary to the initial verbal agreement.

Although the recording uses I-Octane's artistic vocals, he wishes to isolate
himself from the content of the song since it doesn't represent his beliefs,
practices, or image. In addition, he has never performed the song and it is not
a part of his musical repertoire.
This is not the first time that the artiste is writing for other entertainers
and as such he knows their style of music and the content they wish to express.
Hence, while it is not in keeping with his musical values, he believes in the
freedom of artistic expression and each artiste has a unique identity which can
normally considered when writing songs. That was the premise under which that
song was written for Bounty Killer.

As a result of the unscrupulous conduct of Free Willy Music and their direct
attempt to take advantage of our artiste and tarnish his brand, we have
contacted our lawyer to file an injunction against the producer and the company.
We are also in dialogue to have the song removed from youtube and other social
and music networking sites.

Kartel writing book for summer release

Dancehall artiste Vybz Kartel says he will be publishing a book to be released
in the summer.
Kartel says the book, titled "Voice of the Ghetto: Social Commentary For My
People", has been in the making for over two years and has finally come to
fruition.
The intended release date of the book is July 23 but it may be brought forward
because Kartel thinks there is a move to discredit his book before it is even
released.
Kartel told sources that the book is an in depth look at ghetto life in Jamaica
through his eyes.
He said the book will explore taboo topics from incest and abortion to the high
cost of justice in Jamaica.

It will also tackle class and racial prejudice.

I am free to be joyful, playful and loving.

Some may wait for the end of the school year, the end of a work week, or the end of a project to feel free. I am not bound by any circumstance, pattern or habit in my outer conditions; I am free always!

Today I choose to be joyful, playful and loving. I am not limited by location, schedule, day or habit. Nothing has the power to limit my ability to enjoy this day. When I choose to be joyful, I call forth the joy that is within me and I express it. Choosing to be playful, I allow the flow of creativity to enliven the simple activities of my day. I give love by sharing smiles and laughter with those around me.

Nothing limits my ability to choose my attitude. Acting from that freedom, I choose to be joyful, playful and loving.

And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in its streets.--Zechariah 8:5

You know when you were younger and you watched 'Terminator 2' and thought Arnold
Schwarzenegger was the coolest, baddest, mofo around? Well if you don't have a
father, there's a chance it's him.

Arnold's secret son used to watch 'Terminator 2' "all the time" not knowing that
it was his dad on the screen. So weird!

The kid's cousin Jorge Pena said: "Joe would idolize Arnold - we all idolized
him. It was a cool thing for us. Joe used to watch 'Terminator 2' all the time,
he really loved that movie."

He added to the Daily Star Sunday newspaper: "They have always been like family
to us. Arnold was like an uncle to us, he was really cool with everybody. He
always loved Joseph but it didn't seem he got extra attention.
"My aunt and my mum both got to travel with Arnold and the family when they went
away on vacations and once in a while they took Joe and Roger [Mildred's
ex-husband] because they both got on with Arnold and Maria's kids so well.
Let me tell you--he's getting all the extra attention now. I don't know if the
kid is excited that Arnold is his dad or humiliated that his mom was doing more
than just the housework.

Lady Gaga says she's bankrupt

Lady GaGa

Earlier this month Forbes magazine named Lady Gaga the most powerful celebrity
in the world claiming she's made over $90 million dollars in the last year.

She beat out Oprah in terms of power and has an estimated net worth of over $125
million. So why is she pretending to be broke?

Gaga claims she "went bankrupt" during her 'Monster Ball' tour--the same one that
grossed over $90 million--because of production costs.

The elaborate stage costumes and backup dancers cost so much, she claims she
spent more than she made. It's a little hard to spend $90 mil, but sure Gaga,
whatever you say.

She told the Financial Times newspaper: "I put everything in the show, and I
actually went bankrupt after the first extension of the 'Monster Ball'. And it
was funny because I didn't know! And I remember I called everybody and said,
'Why is everyone saying I have no money? This is ridiculous, I have five number
one singles' - and they said, 'Well, you're $3 million in debt.' "

And of course in true Gaga style, she hasn't curbed her spending one bit. And if
anyone is getting spoiled, it's her parents.

She said: "The only big things I've purchased are my dad's heart valve and a
Rolls-Royce for my parents, for their anniversary. And that was only because my
dad had a Lady Gaga license plate on our old car and it was making me crazy
because he was getting followed everywhere, so I bought him a new car."

So many words to keep track of!.

WORDS
I speak words of peace, inspiration and hope.

The words I speak or write contain immense creative power. When I confidently state my goals or intentions, I set in motion ideas that have the power to manifest in my life. At the same time, sharing uplifting words has a positive impact on others. Words of kindness and caring create a healing and nurturing environment.

Because the words I use have such power, I choose them carefully, taking time in prayer before speaking or writing them. My words create peace where there was discord, inspiration where there was apathy, and hope where there was despair. Guided by Spirit, I share words that bless and uplift.

So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose. --Isaiah 55:11

Rihanna: I Like My Men 'Hung'

Want to date Rihanna? No problem. She only has two requirements, you better be
hot and you better be hung. Want a ruler?

Rihanna confessed that a guy with a large package is her main priority when
choosing men. Hmm...and she wonders why she keeps picking the wrong men.

Asked by US Cosmopolitan magazine how she likes her men, Rihanna replied: "Hot
and hung, but sweet will do!

"I'm turned on to a guy by different things. It could be the way he looks. It
could be his intelligence. It's really a spontaneous thing."

And when it comes to dating, she admits she gets bored easily because for the
most part she dates like a man.

She added: "I'm open to love but guys should have to earn it because the minute
they get it, they want something else. Men are like hunters; they like the
chase. So you have to keep them guessing.

"Actually, I'm like that too. I get bored very quickly. So if someone can make
me laugh, that's the best."

Kim K no more. Kim may be the most famous Kardashian of them all, but not for

Sources close to the couple say Kim will drop her famous last name when she
marries Kris Humphries this summer.

Kim will "for sure" take on Kris' last name as soon as they tie the knot this
summer--something mama Kris isn't going to be too thrilled about.
Kris Jenner recently told Popeater.com, "I don't think she should take his name
and be Kim Humphries ... She needs to be Kim Kardashian because she's worked so
hard to get where she is."
During a preview of the new season of 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians' Kris
tells her girls she's considering changing her last name back to Kardashian.
Being a Kardashian is like winning the lottery, why wouldn't you want to be a
Kardashian?
And rumor has it that Kim will wed in the next two months (what's the rush?!) so
the family will lose one Kardashian, but possibly gain another.

Fantan Mojah

Down Sound Records has decided to sever all ties with reggae recording artiste
Fantan Mojah.
This comes just a few months after both parties had announced a reconciliation
of sorts.
An official release from the company accused the artiste of "resorting to his
old ways".
However, representatives from Fantan Mojah's camp believes that Down Sound's
move is a direct result of Fantan's refusal to sign what they dubbed "a patently
unreasonable and exploitative" booking and publishing contract with the company.
After their reconciliation they recorded some songs over the past months and
reports say they were getting favourable play in the dancehall and on the radio.
However, according to sources a number of recent events triggered this decision
by Down Sound to drop the reggae artiste again.

Three sitting Councillors of the opposition People's National Party (PNP), who

The Councillors made their assertions during Tuesday's closed-door meeting of

However, PNP Deputy General Secretary, Julian Robinson, in response to a flurry

In a one-page statement issued at the end of the PNP/KSAC Caucus meeting, Deputy
Minority leader, Andrew Swaby, outlined a nine-point process involved in the
awarding of contracts for drain and gully cleaning.

Jamaica won three silver medals at the 2011 Special Olympics Summer Games in Athens, Greece, yesterday.

Roller skater Romaine Austin captured two medals, and Monique Brown added the other.

The island's Special Olympians also placed themselves in a favourable position for a medal in the 11-a-side football competition, as they brushed aside Denmark 1-0.

On Tuesday, they had lost 1-0 to Ecuador. Jamaica's medal prospects was aided by Russia's loss to Uruguay yesterday.

In the 300 metres roller skating, he completed the distance in 42.82 seconds.

Brown's silver medal came in the 300 metres roller skating.

Jamaica's veteran Special Olympian Nigel Davis is expected to put in a good performance in the 1,000 roller-skating event when he takes the field today.

And since the euro, in its current form, is going to collapse is it not better that this happens quickly rather than a slow death?"
