'Dudus' returns to court today

Accused drug and weapons dealer Christopher 'Dudus' Coke, will make another appearance in Court here today.

His appearance -- the sixth such since being extradited last year -- will likely be a routine pre-trial conference between prosecutors and defence attorneys, during which motions could be filed.

Today's court appearance was set by US Federal Judge Robert P Patterson at Coke's last appearance in February, to allow his defence more time to review discovery materials and to prepare whatever motions they are likely to file.

The wire-tapping evidence against Coke is emerging as one of the likely pieces of evidences against which a motion could be filed, as there is a feeling within his defence team that it is not admissible in Court here.

However, his lawyers would not elaborate as they have been instructed by Coke not to speak to the Press.
