A trial date has been set for the assault case involving Grammy winning artiste, Moses Davis, popularly known as 'Beenie Man’, and his co-accused, sound system selector, Rohan Wade, popularly known as Rolexx.
The trial date has been set for March 2.
The date was agreed on, during Wednesday's mention in the Corporate Criminal Court.
During a previous mention, Beenie Man failed to appear in Court.
A bench warrant was issued for the artiste's arrest.
However, it was stayed until Wednesday's mention.
Attorney, Roderick Gordon, who is representing Beenie Man, told the Court that he had informed the Prosecution that his client was absent as he was honouring overseas contractual arrangements.
The warrant was then lifted.
The arrest of Beenie Man and his co-accused stemmed from an alleged confrontation in June, with another entertainment personality, L. A. Lewis.
Allegations are that after L.A. Lewis' vehicle hit Beenie Man's car, there was an altercation, during which Lewis was hit in the face.
Beenie Man pleaded not guilty to assault occasioning bodily harm.
And Rolexx pleaded not guilty to assault at common law.
