Carlene Davis Wins 'Best Vocal Performance' At Marlin Awards

Pastoral minister and accomplished singer Carlene Davis, after receiving seven nominations earlier this year, walked away the winner in the 'Best Vocal Performance' category for her rendition of 'After All I've Been Through' from her latest album 'True Worship' at the recently concluded Marlin Awards in Nassau, Bahamas.

The categories she was nominated in include, 'Adapted Reggae Recording of the Year', 'Album of the Year', 'Engineered Recording Of the Year', 'Packaging of the Year', 'Reggae Vocal Performance of the Year - Duo/Group' and 'Traditional Vocal Performance - Female'.

An elated Davis expresse her gratitude for the acknowledgement and thanked her family and everyone who played a role in her life, which she has cited as the continued thrust that keeps her going. The Marlin Awards recognises and honours outstanding achievement in Caribbean gospel music.

Following the award show, the gospel songstress departed for New York City where she was joined by compatriot Papa San and Jabez.

There she visted a number of radio stations to campaign for the 2011 Best Dressed-sponsored Fun In The Son concert, scheduled for March 19, 2011 at the University of The West Indies, Mona Bowl. -From there it was into Dominica for the week-long Apostolic Prophetic Conference.
