Three guns and more than 300 rounds of ammunition have been stolen from a security company in the Corporate Area.
Thieves broke into the offices Superforce Security Company at 56 Slipe Road between 9pm Tuesday and 7 o'clock Wednesday morning and made off with the weapons and ammunition.
It is understood that they pried open a window and grille to the building and then forced open the armoury and stole the guns and ammunition.
Two shotguns were left behind.
RJR News reported that the thieves removed the surveillance camera and video recorder, which is a major blow to investigators who were hoping the cameras would have provided leads to the perpetrators.
