Will Buju get lucky today?

Will he or won’t he? That’s the question that ought to be answered today when the 12-m3mb34 jury meets for the third time in a Tampa, Fl courtroom to decide the fate of reggae artiste, Mark ‘Buju Banton’ Myrie.

The cocaine trial of the Grammy-nominated singer took place in Florida last week, and the jury has been deliberating sicne Thurday evening and into Friday without deciding the young man’s fate.

Myrie’s co-defendants in the cocaine conspiracy case have already pleaded guilty and ave co-opertaed with the prosecution. Buju, however, has maintained his innocence and his lawyers say he was entrapped and his only sing was “talking too much”.

The reggae artiste took the stand on Wednesday and declared that he was “scared and embarrassed” and was only trying to impress the man he met on a flight from Spain with talk of drugs runnings. That man turned out to be an informant, who was used to try and bring him down.
