Atlanta’s 1st Annual Summer Music Festival Set, Stable & Strong!

Organizers of the 1st Annual Atlanta Music Festival took to the radio airwaves in Atlanta Georgia to address the community who queried the strength of the first Festival.

Speaking to Rico Vibes and the listeners of his ‘Weekend Mix Show’ on Atlanta’s #1 radio station, Da Flava Radio, Stitchie set the record straight by addressing the most pressing concern: “Is this a fraud show?”

Armed with signed contracts from each artiste, Stitchie made it clear that he and his partner Papa from Jabari Productions have no affiliation to a similar show that was held last year, but not a successful due to the fact that artistes were not paid.

When asked by Rico, Stichie explained: “The line up this year is very similar to that of last year, but the show is not the same.

We wanted people like Bounty and Beenie, but due to the visa situation, we had no choice but to lean with this line up.”

Further on in the interview, Freddie McGregor called into the ‘Weekend Mix Show’ speaking directly to the people. Freddie acknowledged that he and the Big Ship family were in Atlanta to perform last year, however the promoter didn’t show up the night of the event.

McGregor also went on to say that Elephant Man, Chino, Laden, Spragga Benz, Etana as well as all other artistes advertised will be on the stage for the 1st Annual Atlanta Summer Festival.

The Reggae icon even sang a dubplate live on air for the festival using the melody of Gregory Isaacs hit song “Rumours!" Chino also called in after Freddie to echo the same sentiment — the entire Big Ship family, as well as all artists advertised will be there.

Jabari Productions also announced that Lil Wayne’s Young Money members Lil Chuckee, Jae Millz and Gudda Gudda will be on the show.

Out of the Gucci Mane camp, we have So Icy Rock Boyz. We also have ATL’s own Pastor Troy. For the ladies, we have R&B sensation Pleasure P, formerly lead singer from Pretty Ricky.

The 1st Annual Atlanta Summer Festival will be staged at the James R. Hallford stadium in Atlanta (Georgia Perimeter College – 3789 Memorial College Ave.), and will be hosted by Nikki Z, Juggla and Rico Vibes.
