A British charity promoting homeopathy that was founded by Prince Charles says it is shutting down, days after police arrested a former official for alleged fraud and money laundering, a report carried by he Associated Press said.
The Prince’s Foundation for Integrated Health said in a statement today the fraud investigation speeded up a closure that had been planned for many months.
Police arrested a 40-year-old man and a 54-year-old woman Tuesday, saying the pair were linked to a complaint about fraud at the charity.
Prince Charles set up the charity in 1993 to promote “integrated health care” — combining conventional medicine with alternative therapies including acupuncture, aromatherapy, homeopathy and massage.
