Yardflex understands that businessman and music producer Patrick Roberts has been arrested and charged for breaches of the Firearms Act.


According to the Constabulary Communications Network, 45 year-old businessman Patrick Roberts of Delamere Avenue, Kingston 13, was this evening charged by the Hunts Bay Police for breaching the Firearms Act.


Reports are that on Wednesday January 20 this year, the police seized two illegal firearms from a man who engaged them in a shootout at Waltham Avenue, Kingston 13. One of the weapons, a .38 Taurus Revolver was traced and found to be the property of Mr.Roberts. On Tuesday March 30, the businessman was interviewed by investigators and he reported that he was just being made aware of the disappearance of the weapon.


A file was prepared and sent to the director of public prosecution (DPP), who ruled that Mr. Roberts be charged for breaching the firearms act. He is scheduled to appear in court on Friday of this week.
