The minute government prosecutors announced they had completed taking evidence from Mr. Chin, lead defence attorney K.D. Knight declared to the St. Andrew businessman that it was "D-day" and that they would be making it difficult for him in the witness box.Mr. Knight then proceeded to pick apart Mr. Chin's testimony and questioned whether he has been a witness of truth.


Under intense fire from Mr. Knight, Mr. Chin denied that he was a liar.


But he admitted to Mr. Knight that he had lied to Mr. Spencer in some of the controversial audio recordings played in court.


He confessed he was lying when he was heard on the tape telling Mr. Spencer that he had spoken to MP for St. Andrew North Central Karl Samuda about the light bulb matter and that the MP had said "everything" was ok.


He said, "I lied about Mr. Samuda to Mr. Spencer."


He said he did this as part of his operation to record the conversations with Mr. Spencer.
