Three members of the Island Special Constabulary Force are scheduled to appear before the Yallahs Resident Magistrate's Court Thursday for breaches of the Corruption Prevention Act.

They are Special Constables Keisha Steele and Owen Brown and Special Sergeant Ian Young.

Special Constable Steele was remanded when they appeared in court on February 10, while the other two officers were offered bail in the sum of $500,000 each.

Special Constable Brown and Special Sergeant Young were asked to surrender their travel documents.

A stop order was also placed on the two and they are to report once per week to a police station.

It is reported that on January 28, the officers seized a quantity of illegal DVDs from a vendor in Morant Bay, St. Thomas.

It is alleged that Miss Steele solicited $15,000 from the vendor to be shared between herself and the other two officers.

A report was made and following investigations a sting operation was set up by the Anti Corruption Branch during which all three were arrested.
