Just when you think the news could not get any more disgusting come along something else that absolutely turns your stomach. In Tuesday’s issue of the Star there is a story about a 10 year old girl who gave birth and the child died three days later.

Now the weird thing about it all is that the story claimed no one knew she was pregnant until she was in the seventh month. They only discovered this when she fainted in class and was rushed to the hospital, it was then the discovery was made.

Now what I want to ask is this, how is it possible that she could be pregnant for all of seven months without so visible signs.

How closely was she being monitored by her mother that morning sickness, missed periods and all that passed her by.

When exactly did she get involved with a 30-odd year old man that the mother missed out on all the dialogues and stuff like that.

Of course children can keep secrets but a child that young should have been under tighter control.

The whole Mountainside community in St Elizabeth should bear the shame of this deed as someone must have noticed some inappropriate behavior. Check out some of the story:

The child's father said he is distraught about the incident because he was not given custody of his daughter when he attempted to take her into his care.

"I filed for custody for my daughter but I did not get her and she was given to her mother," said the man.

He also said he does not get to see his daughter because he is a man who does not tolerate foolishness.

A senior cop attached to the Black River Police Station told THE STAR that the matter was being investigated; however, the officer was tight-lipped about the case.

The child's father told THE STAR that the child delivered the baby in December and the baby died three weeks later. The angry father said that he was not even told about the baby's death until two weeks after.

According to the father, his daughter fainted at school and was rushed to the hospital when it was revealed that the child was seven months pregnant.

"How could she be seven months pregnant and no one knew, that makes no sense," said the confused father.

The child's father is begging that the culprit be brought to justice as no one in his right mind would have sex with a 10-year-old girl.

This story makes me sick. This person (man) should be locked up for life and the mother (muma) should go to prison too. If it was my daughter I am sure me would be a Bounty Hunter and me SURE ME WOULD FIND HIM and CUT HIS DICK OFF before hand him over to the police..(maybe!)

AS for the mother she should lost her other children if she have any more.

As for the father, him a chat BULL-SHIT. ME loss custody of my daughter but me still go round the blockage the court and the mother set, just to see my daughter and we talk, hug etc and I ask her various questions in diplomatic style to get info regarding sexual issues. This just show how long him see his daughter...SHAME on him.

The other worst thing is when the police catch him, his lawyer will ask for bail and the stupid judge will grant him bail.

You can bet you last dollar some EDIOT in the area claiming to be area Don. HE also should loose his status too. SHAME ON THE WHOLE AREA-District.

truth

people from that area are usually vigilant when it comes to unethical crimes and against thieves but i don't think having vigilante killing is the right way to deal with these issues. i think the police should be more effective in their work. I'm disgusted by this atrocity but taking justice in our hand won't help this country current crime state.

@Lee G, when i read the story, i was totaly disgusted, the whole of St. Elizabeth should be out looking for the mother and the motherf@#$%ker. As a father i would galdly come to Jamaica and help look for Physco's like these. True word you talk Lee G, nothing else to be said.

This is very sickening i have a ten year old daughter and i make sure i have a tight reign on her because of these predators out there who can't get a woman their age so they have to rape these young girls. PERVERTS IT IS ILLEGAL TO HAVE SEX WITH A CHILD MALE OR FEMALE UNDER THE AGE OF EIGHTEEN (18) AND THE JAMAICAN GOVERNMENT NEED TO CRACK DOWN ON THESE PERVERTS. That pervert should be brought into justice. How can u even look at a 10 yr old even if shi big inna ah body. cuz belive mi a nuff a dem stay suh. He needs a severe punishment suh all the rest ah di pervert roun di world will learn never to look at a young girl under the age of 18, or to look at any girl because they r perverts. Ja need to up with enforcing laws, bringing in ppl in to justice, get rid of corrupted cops, seveere penalty fi ppl how pray on young girls and boys.
