On Wednesday night, at an undisclosed location on Miami Beach, R & B star Monica (a Scorpio) will be hosting the 'Shottas' event with special guest appearances by Kymani, Stephen and Damian Marley, Rik Ross, DJ Khalid, Fat Joe, Trina, Trick Daddy, Paul Campbell, Lennox Lewis, Spragga Benz, Falam Remi, Inner Circle and many more.
"It's a red carpet affair. It's going to be a VIP event, lots of celebrities. 'Shottas' will open the floodgates for Caribbean film industry," director Cess Silvera told YardFlex.com managing director Debbie Cole this morning.
There will be large screen televisions at the location showing the trailer of "Shottas". The movie itself an unapologetic raw urban drama that deals with life in the ghettoes of Jamaica. Recently, the film was done over after it was bootlegged and released to the public.
The story revolves around Biggs & Wayne, poverty stricken Jamaican youths who want the gangster lifestyle, and what the consequences are of their actions.
